Chapter 44 Suo Tuo City

"Little San, why don't we find a restaurant to eat something and rest? The registration only starts tomorrow, and the sun is so harsh right now," Xiao Wu said, reaching out to touch Tang Sui's cheek, which was burning hot from the sun. The slightly cool touch made Tang Sui nuzzle against her delicate palm like a kitten, closing her eyes in comfort.

Five years had passed, and all three of them had successfully graduated from Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy.

Given their talent, Nuoding Academy had prepared to recommend them directly to Intermediate Soul Master Academy, and several renowned academies had even sent invitation letters, giving them plenty of options. However, Grandmaster had instructed Tang San to reject all invitations and instead apply to an academy called Shrek, located south of Suoluo City.

Out of their unconditional trust in Grandmaster, Tang San and Tang Sui, who knew what was going on, agreed. Xiao Wu, not wanting to be separated from Tang Sui and considering herself the "older sister," clung to Tang Sui and insisted on enrolling together. Thus, the three of them found themselves here.

Suoluo City was much larger and naturally more bustling than Nuoding City. Soldiers patrolled the streets, and a throng of people constantly moved through.

Tang San glanced at the diverse buildings lining both sides of the street and asked, "Are you looking for places that include meals and lodging, or just lodging?"

Xiao Wu looked at the hotels standing side by side, her gaze falling on one primarily adorned in a flamboyant rose-red hue. Pointing at it, she declared, "This one! It looks so grand and upscale. We've saved quite a bit of soul coins over the past five years, so we shouldn't shortchange ourselves!"

Tang Sui opened her eyes and followed Xiao Wu's gaze. Upon seeing the familiar words "Rose Hotel," she expressionlessly pointed to another hotel opposite it, with a simpler overall decor, saying, "Sister Xiao Wu, Brother, I'd like to go to that one. That place, 'Sit on the Ground,' includes meals and lodging, and they have a signature main dish."

They would inevitably meet Dai Mubai sooner or later; there was no need to vie for the same room in such an awkward situation.

Tang San looked at the enlarged image of the special banana fish dish on the notice board in front of the hotel. Thinking of Tang Sui's foodie trait of hoarding snacks, the corner of his mouth curved into a faint smile. "Then let's go to that hotel. Their banana fish looks appetizing; we can give it a try."

"Eh? But I kind of wanted..." Xiao Wu pouted, but her unfinished words vanished as Tang Sui's dark eyes met hers. She immediately changed her mind, "Then the banana fish hotel it is."

Tang San: "..."

Women are truly fickle.

Tang Sui blinked her eyes, and the three walked towards the hotel with the simple style. They quickly completed the check-in process and proceeded to the restaurant prepared for guests to enjoy lunch.

It had to be said, while the hotel's exterior was a bit plain, the taste of its signature dishes was indeed excellent.

Feeling a bit full, Xiao Wu put down her chopsticks and looked at Tang Sui, who was slowly chewing her food. She grumbled, "Honestly, I really don't understand what Grandmaster was thinking. Several intermediate soul master academies offered to admit us unconditionally, yet he insisted you two come to this rundown academy that doesn't even have a ranking system."

"It's Shrek Academy," Tang San kindly corrected.

Tang Sui: *Munch, munch.*

Xiao Wu pouted and her gaze fell on the bustling crowd and the various shops passing by outside the window. A thought struck her, "Hey, Sui Sui, Xiao San, let's go out and explore Suoluo City after we finish eating. I've never been here before, and I'd love to see if there are any novelties here."

There were no novelties, only a Shrek Academy where talent was hidden.

Swallowing the last piece of fish, Tang Sui put down her chopsticks and took out a napkin to wipe the oil from the corner of her mouth. Before Tang San could look at her, she said, "I won't be going. Brother, you two go ahead. I want to take a nap this afternoon."

This time, she had walked the entire way herself, without letting Tang San carry her!
