Chapter 1940: Chapter 1932: Beyond Talented
An unforgettable day etched itself in history: The Dawning Day of Supreme Death. Few understood the reasoning of this disastrous event, especially considering the initial detonation that had resulted in the deaths of two Supreme Sages, but the latter half of the slaughter would be understood as the counterstrike of the Neo-Dawn Ascendant Emperor, or rather-the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint upon a selfish six that sought to take opportunistic advantage of his injuries.
At the foundation of those four were clear signs of disagreements and grudges; Palace Master Shattered Star and Palace Master Talisman Star had jointly assisted the suppression of the Neo Zenith Tower via collusion; Superior Di had captured Hong Xuannu, a recent addition of the Neo Zenith Tower's retinue after her miraculous survival from Resonant Soul ignition by the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint's hands, for reasons still unknown; Superior Yanzi had a fairly open grudge against Daoist Su Yi, and Wei Wuyin had protected him on multiple occasions, albeit most have largely speculated that the Dazzling Jewel Alchemic Saint had gained the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint's interest of the heart; Meanwhile, Superior Black Widow and Sovereign Goliath Bird were part of Arachnids, by now, everyone knew of the disastrous fate that the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint had dealt upon them after they were discovered spying upon him or his people, and so revenge was appropriate.
Over time, these details would echo across the halls and minds of Ascended beings that were qualified to learn of these matters, cemented as truths. And while many things were absent, unanswered, and uncertain, this was enough.
However, there was still an issue.
Not the saber scar that was drawn across the Dark Void for trillions of miles or the ruined formation of a galaxy and Dominion, but the matter of the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint's legitimacy as an Alchemist. During the fight of epic proportions, the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint had openly declared that those attacking him were responsible for the recent deaths regarding his Star Discs, and while this was an indirect accusation, given the fact that deaths of Supreme Existences had occurred, and rarely would individuals at their height of strength ever spew easily verifiable claims via Seers, Oracles, and other investigative spells, this was given the height of truth unless someone denied it.
Which no one did.
And no one would.
Utmost Unity Mind-Realm.
"..." A field of tense silence descended upon the realm. The Dao Enforcers and Zeniths that had watched from start to finish were in awe, contemplation, and shock for the last few minutes. It was the youngest Zenith, Zenith Transformation, that broke this tense atmosphere of silence.
"He...he killed Superior Di..." Superior Di's death was unexpected. While Wei Wuyin had gone on a rampage, killing three Resonant Soul Realm experts back to back, the Palace Masters of their Star Palaces were a mix of consolidated and unconsolidated Microheaven Envoys. Still, Superior Sages were an entirely different beast. Their Heavenly Embodiment of Superior Authority allowed them to truly exhibit the strength of an Envoy of Heaven on a microscale. They were no different than divinities in his eyes.
While Superior Duan and Heaven-Saint Thunderhaven were both Superior Sages, they were caught entirely unaware by a Resonant Soul detonation. This was one of the verified ways to kill a Superior Sage, deployed numerous times throughout recorded history, and more than half of all recorded deaths for Supreme Sages in general were the result of detonation. As such, it was typically known to never corner a Resonant Soul Realm expert in a certain-death situation.
Typically, they would be sealed, allowing the vitality of the body and soul to deplete via refinement or natural exhaustion. This not only gave hope to those to-be-sealed, but if they were sealed and tried to detonate their Resonant Souls, it would be easy to react to, leading to only a single Supreme Existence death-their own.
It was no wonder that Superior Yanzi and Superior Black Widow had fled. They didn't return to the Utmost Purity Galaxy. They ran far. They ran far, far, far away. It would be foolish to hide within the Utmost Purity Galaxy if Wei Wuyin were to reclaim his legitimacy as an alchemist; they would be like hapless ducks in the wild.
Enforcer Shizi's entire form exuded a dark and cloudy feeling, distinctly grim. This wasn't due to fear. This was due to a matter that they had all learned as Dao Enforcers. Every single one of the Dao Enforcers was aware of what had just happened: "There was no Resonant Qi of the Heavens used," Enforcer Bound-Spirit weakly voiced. Wei Wuyin had, from start to finish, existentially killed Supreme Existences using the Mystic Power of the Nine Ways of Mysticism and the aura of Laws. An utterly insane feat.
That last attack was not an Ascending Soul Art used by True Soul Phase cultivators and demonic geniuses that defied conventional understanding, such as Daoist Su Yi, which could harm or kill Supreme Sages, but a true-blue Ascension Art of the Ways of Mysticism. While the saber strike was empowered by the aura of Laws, the foundation of the attack was not formed on the principle of Laws-a critical distinction.
The four Ascension Arts that Magus had invented were solely reliant on the nine Ways of Mysticism, and while they could be bolstered by the aura of Laws, the aura of eternity, various Saber Intents, Domains of worldly influence, high-level Nascent Souls, Soul Energy, or even the World-Bound Star Domain, they were not Ascending Soul Arts designed with Laws explicitly like the Original Void Creation Ascending Art, which used the Laws of Space, Time, and Origin.
This comment from Enforcer Bound-Spirit could easily be overlooked by non-Supreme Sages, but to those present, this was unable to be dismissed.
"Soul of the Void, Void of the Soul Intent..." Enforcer Hulking-Titan was awestruck. This was a genuine display of outrageous talent in relation to an expression and development of spiritual will. It exceeded even forming a Minor Authority of Laws, a herculean feat that even some Microheaven Envoys hadn't achieved yet!
To exert one's will on the Void was no different than converting or directing the foundation of the universe. A grand, indescribably fantastical achievement!
Wei Wuyin had learned during his rampage in the Heavenly Realms that Intent was the generalized cultivation path for Daos. The Material Dao, the War Dao, the Mind Dao, and countless others. The great daos that cultivators pursued, such as the Mortal Dao and Mystic Dao, were fundamentally the same but far more developed, extensive, and involved, connecting the other daos under their umbrella flawlessly.
The Alchemic Dao's Alchemic Stars was evidence of an independent cultivation path for alchemy, whose recognition hinged on perfect successes and substantial achievement within it. But what about the others? They were almost no different!
Wei Wuyin had come across a specific type of aberrant existence that had intuitively birthed Intent, and they could cultivate everything that involved that Intent with frightening ease. One such person was a phenomenal Prime Ascendant-Shui Fengbao! The Child of Fire!
This achievement meant that Wei Wuyin had reached an unimaginable level of affinity with the Dao it involved, Heavenly Realms of Law it existed within, and everything else that possessed the will of the saber.
However, what was confusing was that...
"Saber..." Suo Haoran and Shizi mentally considered this detail with ample confusion in their eyes and lips. Was that under the Heavenly Realm of War? For some strange reason, their heavenly intuition was unable to find a clear and concise answer, yet they felt as if it was and wasn't. A strange development.
Setting that aside, Wei Wuyin had showcased far too many outstanding things!
Heavenly Saint Alchemist!
Candidate for the Virtue of Dao!
Void Soul Intent!
The Heavenly Authority of Imperial Law!
A unique Bloodline, potentially belonging to a faux-immortal existence!
And there was so much more!
Wei Wuyin was undeniably an outstanding existence! And yet, he was still covered in a veil of mystery and uncertainties. The most important thing was his identity. Who was this person...exactly?
"Could he be a Prime Luminary who lost his body?" After a while, the tense atmosphere was draining out, replaced by curiosity and desire. A Prime Luminary! They were peak Supreme Sages!
Prime Sages!
Figures of genuine legend! EVEN TO THEM!
"..." Enforcer Shizi could only silently lower his head.
"Impossible. If he were a Prime Luminary, even if he had lost his physical body, his Resonant Soul's Spiritual Strength would have been enough to eliminate all of them with ease. There's no way Superior Yanzi or Superior Black Widow could escape. Utterly impossible!" Enforcer Hulking-Titan strongly resisted the idea, stating his opinion, yet no one could refute it.
"That other Supreme Sage..." Enforcer Bound-Spirit mumbled.
"Since he belongs to the Onestar Galaxy, it makes sense..." Enforcer Hulking-Titan remarked softly.
Enforcer Maleficent-Chaos had begun to stare at Dongfang Yue without blinking. Her earlier words had caught her ears and attention. Her piercing stare caught the other's attention, and they saw Dongfang Yue with great relief alongside the shock on her face, not resisting in the slightest. Well, considering Wei Wuyin had eliminated his enemies and sent the rest fleeing, she had no reason to resist any longer.
"You said: 'He's not possessed.' What did you mean by that? What do you know?" Her question immediately caught the attention of everyone else, especially Suo Haoran and Enforcer Shizi.
"Not possessed? He's clearly possessing another cultivator. His cultivation base is at the Soul of Mysticism Phase on the surface, yet his strength could kill a Superior Sage; how could he not be possessed? Haha," Enforcer Precious-Heart awkwardly chuckled at the end, betraying her unwillingness to believe such an outrageous claim
made in panic.
Dongfang Yue looked at them all, every last Enforcer and every last Zenith. She scoffed disdainfully, not answering.
"You!" Zenith Fusion was on the verge of erupting with anger. In actuality, he didn't know why he was angry. He just was. This ridiculous woman! Since she lost her weight, she also lost her damn mind!
Suo Kai-Ming glanced at Suo Haoran and then asked, "Is he like Su Yi?" A reincarnated existence made some sense, but even that was an outrageous claim. This would suggest that Wei Wuyin was a Soul of Mysticism Phase cultivator capable of challenging Supreme Sages. More importantly, he was recently a Mystic Star Phase cultivator, especially during his time of concoction and defeating Long Shiya.
Su Yi was reasonable; he was believed to be a former Cardinal Sage of great repute, carrying a treasured weapon, and having built an absurd foundation, which was subtly allowed to happen and even pushed by them, yet despite this, they could accept this because he struggled against consolidated Microheaven Envoys and Superior Sage Avatars as an upper-stage Mystic Ascendant Realm cultivator.
What were chasm-like divides of strength have been known to be overcome with external treasures, unparalleled ability, and comprehension far exceeding your opponent and your stage of cultivation.
"A reincarnated Prime Luminary?" Enforcer Bound-Spirit blinked curiously. Uncertain gazes flew about, all eventually landing on Dongfang Yue.
In truth, Dongfang Yue was unsure herself. She just knew on an intuitive level that Wei Wuyin wasn't possessed from the first moment she saw him expose his cultivation base to the world.
During that time, Wei Wuyin's life energy was unbearably vibrant with an existential presence and soul aura that was barely worn by the decay of time and the world, perhaps less than two hundred years old. A Heavenly Saint Alchemist, Void Soul Intent, multiple Authorities of Law, countless treasures, Supreme Sage Dao Protector, three galactic vassals to his fledgling empire, and an unreasonable degree of strength!
All under two hundred years old?
He'd have to be possessing a younger body or the reincarnation of someone tens of millions of years old!
...right?
If not, then this existence would be beyond talented.
A defier on every spectrum of their known understanding!!
EVERY.
LAST.
ONE!!!
Another silence inexplicably fell upon the realm.
Suddenly, Suo Haoran spoke: "I have a suggestion."
Ears perked as they listened. Eyes shone. Expressions changed. But most importantly, a decision was made.
[Author's Note: Is WW's truth going to be exposed?! Or will they continue to take the copium? XD]
