Chapter 219: Dragon

Chapter 219: Dragon

He didn’t take the hit.

He twisted away at the last minute and the werewolf’s hand slammed into the ground, shattering the stones and sending cracks running.

"...ah fuck! I’ve underestimated the power of a stage above. If not for the Dragon’s body that I have, then things would have turned even more ugly! I wish he’s like that academic old Magus!..."

"Oh? Why are you running? I thought you said you are going to take care of me? Well, come on! Fight me! Don’t run like the rat that you are!"

Vacuse grimaced.

Indeed, the level in power isn’t easily crossed. He thought about calling his void creature but he quickly decided against it. Even now his creature was fighting two third circle at the same time and he had already lost the element of surprise.

Shouldn’t the master be able to take care of just one then?

"I’m only getting a feel of the battlefield, you dog! Why are you in such a hurry to die anyway? It’s not like death is not coming to you!"

The werewolf growled, a deep rumble that made the air vibrate, and then he leaped forward, easily clearing the distance as he appeared once again in front of Vacuse.

But this time, Vacuse was also ready. All the purple energy flickering across his body had been clumsily moved toward his two legs, putting all that power alone into his legs.

It meant that his body would be more vulnerable to attacks, but he was going for not getting hit at all. The only place he still reinforced with his draconic energy was his hands.

Head Supervisor brought his hands down again in a crushing blow, but Vacuse was now like the wind, and he easily dodged.

This time, it was his turn to attack.

He raised his umbrella and went for an upward thrust, so fast and sudden that the werewolf almost didn’t have the time to react, and only by throwing himself back in a rough way did he escape with a scratch on his chin.

"What..." He growled as he sniffed his own blood in the air. "How can you be so fast!"

Vacuse gritted his teeth, his eyes bloodshot.

The trick he was using came with a price. Draconic energy isn’t meant to be concentrated only on one spot, and by putting it on his legs, he was damaging them slowly but surely.

He was feeling unimaginable pain.

Not to mention the fact that it was taking huge amounts of his mental power.

"...I need to finish this quickly while I still have a slight advantage..."

Vacuse stood on his tiptoes, extended his hand backward, and then threw the umbrella that contained almost all his condensed void power.

He threw it like a spear and it shot forward with a rough shockwave that blasted away the ground, peeling the first layer away!

At the same time, Vacuse himself disappeared. He was that fast!

Head Supervisor realized some things at once. Vacuse was going for a double attack and the first was the umbrella! With his heightened senses, he could track the umbrella but his reflexes couldn’t keep up!

If he tried to dodge it by jumping away, he would still be caught, so the only option was to confront it head-on, which would leave him open to Vacuse’s second attack.

He howled in fury!

His fur darkened, turning hard and metallic.

The fur on his front body clamped down, shielding him even as he put his two hands together. The fur behind stood on end, bristling like arrows.

Everything happened then.

The umbrella appeared in front of Head Supervisor and he used his hands like a shield, but the umbrella was made from Vacuse’s combined power and it carried the power of severance. When it collided, it pushed through his hands as if they weren’t there and slammed through his chest with the force that sent him hurling back.

Vacuse, who had wanted to attack from the back, had to stop when he saw the standing iron fur. Instead, he changed strategy as the Head Supervisor hurtled past him.

Just then, as the werewolf hit the wall of dream pods, the void energy exploded!

It was a massive explosion that destroyed that section of the wall. The ground also shattered to the floor below, showing the shocked faces of the Magus hiding as they tried to shield themselves from the dust and debris.

"Ahem, ahem, ahem! Do you think you can really kill me with that?"

When the dust settled, the Head Supervisor appeared again, but this time he wasn’t in the shape of a werewolf. His appearance had changed to that of a head carried by tentacles.

Vacuse gave him a wooden look. All the purple energy around him was gone and his eyes were back to red. When he took a step back, he winced and limped.

But even then: "You fool, do you think changing your shape is going to hide the fact that you are wounded? I can feel it from you!"

Indeed, the Head Supervisor might have changed shape but he was deeply wounded, and it was taking all his effort to hold his form together.

Besides...

Vacuse smiled. "You already lost."

He raised his hand where a necklace hung free. The necklace ended in a ring.

"This... the ring!"

Vacuse put the ring on his right hand, and he sighed. "Finally, I am complete! Time to end all of this!"

He raised his hand and a beam shot out. The beam of light quickly turned into a stone dragon that was coiled on itself, but a moment later it spread its wings and roared.

It sounded like mountains clapping, shaking the whole tower, and even the monster above froze.

A dragon had appeared.

The size of the stone dragon broke another section of the wall and its tail immediately slashed numerous dream pods.

Vacuse didn’t have a lot of power left, but he still had a little for the stone dragon with its own reserve.

He was indeed back to his full power.
