Chapter 1729: Chapter 852: Injuries Healed! Return to the Loose Cultivator Alliance!
Qing Shuang nodded, agreeing with Mo Han’s reasoning.
The three of them cautiously approached the vicinity of the Emperor’s sleeping quarters and found that, as expected, the guards were lax, with only a few standing at the entrance.
“What do we do?” Qing Shuang asked, “Do we force our way in?”
“No.” Mo Han shook his head, “We’ll use strategy.”
After speaking, Mo Han took out several Talismans from his chest and handed them to Qing Shuang. “Take these Talismans and divert those guards.”
“Me?” Qing Shuang was a bit surprised, “How do I divert them?”
“Use these Talismans to create a disturbance and lead them elsewhere.” Mo Han said, “Remember, don’t engage, just lead them away.”
“Alright, I understand.” Qing Shuang took the Talismans and nodded.
“Be careful.” Mo Han cautioned.
“Mm.” Qing Shuang replied, taking a deep breath and heading toward the guards.
Qing Shuang approached the guards, deliberately acting panicked, and said, “Something’s wrong! There’s a fire over there!”
“A fire?” The guards were taken aback, “Where?”
“Right there!” Qing Shuang pointed in one direction, “Hurry and take a look!”
The guards hesitated but still ran in the direction Qing Shuang pointed.
Seeing this, Qing Shuang quickly used the Talismans to create smoke and fire effects and swiftly departed.
The guards, running halfway, noticed the fire behind them and hurriedly returned.
“What’s going on?” The guards asked.
“I don’t know.” Qing Shuang feigned fear and said, “I just saw the flames over there and ran to tell you.”
“Who are you?” The guards started to suspect Qing Shuang’s identity.
“I, I’m a maid from the palace.” Qing Shuang stammered.
“A maid? From which palace?” the guards continued questioning.
“I…”
Qing Shuang was momentarily at a loss and didn’t know how to answer.
At this moment, Mo Han suddenly dashed out from the shadows and knocked out one guard with a palm.
“Run!” Mo Han shouted at Qing Shuang.
Qing Shuang quickly reacted and hurriedly followed Mo Han toward the Emperor’s sleeping quarters.
“Assassins!” The guards shouted loudly.
Mo Han and Qing Shuang rushed into the Emperor’s sleeping quarters and found no one inside, only a few maids were cleaning.
“Where are the Imperial Physicians?” Mo Han grabbed a maid and asked.
“Im-Imperial Physicians?” The maid was terrified, her voice trembling.
“Tell me quickly! Where are the Imperial Physicians?” Mo Han demanded harshly.
“In the side hall.” The maid pointed in one direction.
Mo Han and Qing Shuang quickly ran toward the side hall.
Arriving at the side hall, they saw several Imperial Physicians diagnosing the Emperor’s pulse.
“Who are you?” an Imperial Physician asked upon seeing Mo Han and Qing Shuang.
“We’re here to save someone.” Mo Han replied, “Quickly, save him!”
The Imperial Physicians, seeing Luo Chen on Mo Han’s back, changed their expression. “He’s severely injured; quickly put him on the bed!”
Mo Han carefully placed Luo Chen on the bed, and the Imperial Physicians immediately started treating him.
“How is he?” Qing Shuang asked anxiously.
“The situation is dire.” An Imperial Physician said, “His internal organs are severely damaged and must be treated immediately.”
“Then what are you waiting for? Save him quickly!” Qing Shuang urged.
“But we don’t have any medicine.” Another Imperial Physician said, “The medicines in the Imperial Palace have been looted by the Blood Ghost Sect.”
“What?” Qing Shuang and Mo Han were stunned.
“Without medicine, what can be done?” Qing Shuang was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan.
“Let me think, let me think.” Mo Han forced himself to remain calm. He suddenly remembered the execution chambers found earlier in the Blood Ghost Sect’s forbidden zone; maybe there would be some medicines there.
“Qing Shuang, stay here with Luo Chen; I’m going to find medicine!” Mo Han said.
“Where are you going to find it?” Qing Shuang asked.
“The Blood Ghost Sect’s forbidden zone!” Mo Han said, “There might be some medicines there!”
“But, it’s dangerous there.” Qing Shuang said concernedly.
“There’s no time to worry about that!” Mo Han said, “I must give it a try!”
After speaking, Mo Han turned to leave.
“Wait!” Qing Shuang suddenly called out, “I’ll go with you!”
“No!” Mo Han refused flatly, “Stay here to care for Luo Chen; I’ll go alone!”
“But.”
“No buts!” Mo Han interrupted Qing Shuang, “Just listen to me!”
After speaking, Mo Han left the side hall without looking back.
Qing Shuang watched Mo Han’s departing figure, filled with worry and unease. She knew Mo Han was risking himself to save Luo Chen and couldn’t stop him; she could only quietly pray in her heart for his safe return.
Mo Han left the Imperial Palace and sped all the way towards the Blood Ghost Sect’s forbidden zone. His mind held only one thought: to find the medicines as quickly as possible and save Luo Chen.
After a long trek, Mo Han finally arrived at the Blood Ghost Sect forbidden zone. He cautiously avoided the remaining soldiers of the Blood Ghost Sect and sneaked into the forbidden zone.
The forbidden zone was in disarray, signs of battle everywhere. Mo Han searched carefully in the execution chambers and finally found some medicines.
“Great!” Mo Han felt a rush of joy, “These medicines should be enough!”
Mo Han hurriedly returned to the Imperial Palace with the found medicines. Qing Shuang was pacing anxiously outside the sleeping quarters, and upon seeing Mo Han, she immediately went to meet him, “You’re finally back!”
The Imperial Physicians received the medicines and without delay started preparing and administering them to Luo Chen. Qing Shuang stood by the bed, watching Luo Chen’s pale face with worry, her hands tightly clutching her clothing hem. Mo Han stood aside, silently observing, his gaze complex and difficult to discern.
