Capítulo 914: Chapter 912: The Bubbling Potion
Richard, Bobbobovic, and Heluo ventured deep into the forest. By noon, they hadn’t encountered anything.
As powerful wizards, the three of them didn’t feel too fatigued. They maintained vigilance as they continued forward. Suddenly, Heluo raised a hand in front, signaling Bobbobovic and Richard to stop.
Seeing Heluo raise her left hand, Bobbobovic instinctively took a big step to the side, half cautious and half puzzled, he asked, “What’s wrong? What…what are you trying to do?”
“I…” Heluo was also a bit confused, she stopped and looked at her left hand, her gaze somewhat dazed, “I don’t know. It seems like my left hand is warning me; perhaps something’s off around here.”
“Off? Is there?” Bobbobovic scanned the surroundings, fully unleashing his perception. After a few seconds, he discovered, “There are a lot of thunder element free energy elements around here, but that’s nothing to be cautious about, unless…”
As he spoke, Bobbobovic recalled something and turned to Heluo to confirm, “Hey, according to previous information, wasn’t someone who escaped from this Silent Forest attacked by lightning?”
“Yes.” Heluo nodded, her face slightly tense. At this moment, she slowly lowered her left hand, but her gaze became serious, “It’s very likely that the attackers that appeared before are nearby. Their interference causes an increase in thunder element free energy elements around. We need to find them and eliminate them somehow, or it would be troublesome if we were ambushed. If it’s not an ambush, but a setup, then it’s even worse.”
“But how do we find them?” Bobbobovic asked.
“No need to search.” Richard suddenly spoke, looking at a position to the right front, he said softly, “They’re already here.”
“Here?”
Richard, Bobbobovic, and Heluo were slightly startled, followed by a thunderous sound.
“Boom!”
Thunder sounded from the right front, seemingly causing a powerful explosion, shaking the trees vigorously.
“Thump, thump, thump, thump…”
Dense hoofbeats followed, the air surged, and a large black shadow like the wind was just a few seconds away, arriving about a dozen meters from the group.
Looking closely, it turned out to be a group of reddish-brown demonized moose.
Indeed, moose, similar to the reindeer that pull Santa’s sleigh in Earth’s legends, but with a larger build.
Roughly estimated, they were about two-point-two meters tall, taller than a sturdy adult. Coupled with their thick limbs, crisscrossing sword-like antlers, large eyes, and the sharp gaze in their eyes, it was like the guardians of the forest that made one instinctively cautious.
Most alerting was the continuous flickering and jumping arcs on their antlers, clearly the part where their attacks were launched.
The group of reddish-brown demonized moose rushing out from the forest numbered about thirty, staring at the human group like predators, their front hooves lightly scratching the ground, as if waiting for something.
A few seconds later, the lead demonized moose gave a neighing command. All of the mooses’ antlers instantly lit up, arcs flaring, shaping into blue-white electric balls, rapidly shooting out like a dense rain towards Richard and the others.
Seeing this, the three of them hesitated not and quickly raised their shields.
One red, one green, and one blue, three entirely different colored energy shields appeared on the scene.
The electric balls crashed against the energy shields, causing them to shake, then extinguished one by one. Richard and the others successfully defended against this first wave of attack.
The demonized moose saw this but didn’t give up. Under the leader’s roar, they continued firing electric balls, making the shields shake violently. Clearly, the shields cracking was only a matter of time.
Richard and the others didn’t plan to stay on the defensive forever. They exchanged a glance with each other, ready to counterattack, among them, Heluo moved the quickest.
Or rather, Heluo’s left hand moved the quickest.
With a swift motion, Heluo’s left hand reached out, striking the red shield in front forcefully, making it dissipate with a “poof”.
Then, driven by her left hand, Heluo’s body leaped high, crashing like a meteor into the left side of the moose herd. The impact was grand and unmatched, yet quietly soundless as she landed, weightless like a ghost.
Heluo’s left hand mischievously raised, slapping at a nearby demonized moose that hadn’t reacted, seemingly deliberately to alert them of her presence.
Due to height, the slap fell only on the moose’s thigh.
The demonized moose was successfully startled, quickly turning, and aimed its antlers at Heluo, shooting out a blue-white electric ball.
Heluo extended her left hand, grabbed the electric ball, kneaded it like clay, reshaping it into a short arrow. The color slightly changed, mixing a hint of dreamy purple into the blue-white.
Heluo threw the short arrow backhand, hitting the moose, causing it to scream in pain.
The moose, angered by the pain, scratched the ground with its legs and charged at Heluo like a train with its head lowered.
At this moment, Heluo’s body flashed like a phantom to evade behind the moose.
The moose lost its target, continued forward with inertia, and “bang” crashed into another moose, causing the moose group to fall into chaos.
“Reaction’s a bit slow…” Heluo evaluated, her body flashing again, pulling out a dark red light, passing through another moose beside her like a phantom.
The moose convulsed violently, twitching as it fell, seemingly suffering severe internal trauma.
Following that, Heluo’s body flickered frequently, “surrounding” about a third of the moose, starting the hunt one by one.
During this process, her uncontrollable left hand was incredibly eye-catching, almost every time an electric ball attack arrived, it could easily intercept it. Then grabbing, reshaping, and counterattacking, causing severe damage to attackers.
So, is her left hand both a weakness that diminishes combat strength and a strength that enhances battle prowess… Richard pondered while observing from the sidelines.
At this time, Bobbobovic also took action, seizing the opportunity as the moose herd was diverted by Heluo’s attention, he retracted his energy shield and quickly pulled out a bottle of bubbling dark gray liquid from his bosom.
“Bang!”
Bobbobovic opened the medicine cork and drank the potion down in a gulp.
As a specially concocted potion by Bobbobovic, its effects aside, the taste was quite pleasing. After drinking, a satisfied expression appeared on Bobbobovic’s face as if he had gulped down a large pint of icy water in the hot summer. It was followed by a tremor in his upper body and a loud belch.
“Hoo—burp!”
Richard couldn’t help but give Bobbobovic a deep look.
Bobbobovic was a bit embarrassed, quickly explaining, “It’s the potion’s side effect, don’t be surprised, it’s quite normal, yes, very normal.”
