Chapter 77

Chapter 77: Chapter 77

In the west, on top of the wall that Professor Descar Ametz had built, stood the executive Senjar Sevec, who was attentively observing the actions of the four-meter tall abominable being that had not gone more than ten steps away from the forest.

The abominable being also watched Senjar with its hawk-like eyes, and sometimes raised its trunk threateningly showing its maw full of hundreds of sharp teeth.

"What is it waiting for?" wondered Senjar in his mind.

At the ends of the wall the situation was chaotic. The environment was plagued by abominable beings indescribable or unpleasant, the environment was dark, illuminated only by the spells that came and went, there was the smell of blood, putrefaction, waste and other pungent and unknown odors.

On the far right of the wall, the warrior professors were advancing and the wizards were supporting with everything from the rear, but as there were terrifying abominable beings in different points of the fifth rank a mistake in the middle of the battle was equal to death, as proved by the body of a professor who was in the beak of a serous mass that had six reptilian legs and eight eyes of different sizes all over the body, that abominable being was horrible, resistant, and its power lay in its beak, with which in an instant it had trapped the body of one of the warrior demons that was stabbed by thousands of poisonous barbs that were inside the beak of the abominable being, who in the end devoured the professor.

At the left point of the wall where Professor Dervec Sej went, the situation seemed more favorable, because Professor Dervet amputated one of his fingers and burned it with demonic energy to summon a demonic spirit called, "The Skeletal Collector".

A shapeless being almost 5 meters tall appeared, covered by a black mist, with green eyes, carrying at the ends of what appeared to be his arms hundreds of white chains made of bones that at the opposite end of the arms held hundreds or thousands of skeletons chained together. The Skeletal collector emitted a guttural sound resembling laughter at the sight of creatures so worthy of being collected, whereupon he released a breath that spread like a blizzard causing huge spears of bones to emerge from the ground that destroyed the inner cores of more than 50 abominable beings that were then dragged into the depths of the earth after which "the skeletal collector" disappeared into thin air like a dispersing smoke.

Professor Dervet had exhausted all of his demonic energy, so he was supported by a female professor wearing glasses, with dark green hair, light green skin and yellow eyes, wearing a white dress with black lace.

-Are you all right, Professor Dervet?

-Yes, order them not to waste this advantage. -Dervet indicated with sweat on his face.

-Everyone attack and advance, eliminate those beings, Professor Dervet has already eliminated the most problematic ones, show them why you are professors of the Danteriar Academy. -Professor Ilmian shouted, who tried to sound imposing in order to increase the professors’ momentum.

Although the momentum increased, at both ends, there were no longer any teachers unaware that they were facing horrible beings with absurd anatomies. Among the more experienced professors there were some who had read the book "demonic hearts" and the word "chimera" crossed their minds, making them shiver at the thought of the future, as they remembered the words of the book that they had previously considered ridiculous and that now could be true.

On the north side of the city, one could see the trail left by the cursed energy coming from Director Persec’s staff, which left only death and decay in its wake, until the mountain range was visible and the intruder increased its speed, and Director Persec quickly followed without lagging behind.

Once they were in the middle of the mountains, the intruder stopped, and showed a bright green elemental sphere whose base was silver, which was the core of what once gave life to a powerful mythical wind elemental beast.

-Just because you carry a mythical level magic treasure, you dare to confront me. You must be very reckless, or very strong, today one of us will die. -Said Director Persec in a solemn and imposing tone.

-I’m sorry to tell you that I’m not going to die, I’m only here to contain you, everything is already prepared, today we will take what you love the most and you won’t even know all the suffering we will make her go through. That’s the price that damned demon must pay for her growing talent. Manifested the intruder with a malicious tone, who had the masculine voice of a middle-aged man.

-You think I’ll fall for your tricks. -said Persec, who was still calm.

-I don’t care if you believe me, at this moment we send the right guy to catch her, he hates demons more than anything, your granddaughter will not have a good time. -The intruder indicated raising the elemental sphere causing the appearance of three powerful tornadoes. -If you think your granddaughter will be safe in that barrier, you are wrong, I have already been informed that she has gone out, apparently young people never listen to their elders, she must be punished, don’t worry, we will punish her until she wishes she had never been born.

Director Persec knew he was being intentionally provoked, he tried to remain calm and waved his staff once more, and within seconds a sea of dark clouds began to completely cover the sky of the Damtes city.

A smile full of evil was barely perceived, through the hood, and the intruder said to Persec:

-You have already begun to doubt.

One of the three tornadoes headed violently towards the director Persec, but he waved his staff and a powerful purple lightning bolt fell from the sky dispersing the tornado completely but spreading the cursed energy in the place where the lightning struck.

-It won’t be that easy, Persec. You know we humans believe that he who lives cursing, can never see his descendants prosper.

The two remaining tornadoes rushed at the director Persec who immediately swung his staff at the tornadoes creating an arc of cursed energy that upon impacting the tornadoes gave them an ominous purple color and black electrical discharges. Now under the control of Director Persec the ominous tornadoes headed towards the intruder who had not only created three more tornadoes, this time he surrounded the mountain range with an immense tornado so that Director Persec could not return to the Academy.

At the Academy, in the area near the training grounds, a few streetlights illuminated the dark environment, a bitter and sour air was spreading around. The abominable being resembling an unpleasant looking humanoid worm, kept firing with its more than 20 legs, poisonous projectiles with corrosive energy that were blocked with difficulty by Meleic whose breathing was agitated.

Meleic looked at Sara, she was on her knees, sweat was pouring down her beautiful face and she was struggling to breathe.

"Why does this happen again and again? I lost my arm, they want me to lose everything? Damn them," Meleic thought with inner fury, she had been trying so hard to adapt and now another monster was trying to kill them.

Sara tried to stand up. Meleic tightened his grip on the hilt of the scimitar. Just to have withstood that abominable being at the peak of the fifth rank was commendable, as they were only sophomores, whose ranks were lower than the abominable being’s, as Sara was at the midpoint of the third rank; and Meleic was at the peak of the third rank.

The abominable being detected the weakness in both of them and ran towards them with the intention of devouring them.

Bang!

Two mud-green spears pierced the abdomen cracked by the attacks of the teachers that the abominable being had received some time before. A sharp, horrible and unpleasant scream was emitted by the abominable being who was staggering, but with his several eyes he looked at his aggressor to then shoot more than twenty poisonous projectiles that stopped in the air.

Meleic turned his head to see who was helping them, and could see the elegant, feared and respected Isirid Merliana who held a black wand which had a coiled white snake biting a mud green demonic gem at the top of the wand.

With her steady gaze, Isirid did not let her guard down, she stopped the projectiles as they were of the same nature as the demonic magic she practiced, which was poison magic, and on top of that she had Boros in her hands, a high level wand for demonic wizards who focused on poisons that her grandfather had gifted her when she reached the starting point of the fifth rank.

The abominable being tried to shoot its projectiles again, but it was useless, Isirid stopped each projectile and then threw them at the horrible round and doughy head of the abominable being that began to scream again, but its screams were drowned out by two more poisonous spears with which Isiris pierced completely the abdomen and entrails of the abominable being who fell dead on the ground while its legs kept moving in an unpleasant way.

Isirid did not delay, she looked at Meleic and the rest of the students and told them:

-If you can get up, let’s go, we must go to a safe place.

They all agreed until they broke out in a cold sweat after hearing the footsteps and feeling the presence of the intruder who was wearing a black tunic and hood. The intruder who carried in his right hand a dark blue scythe that emitted a red and black energy said to them with contempt:

-Damned demons, you are not going anywhere.
