Chapter 91

Chapter 91: Chapter 91

Mart walked through the corridors towards the outdoor training grounds, while doing so he checked again the contents of his demonic bag and managed to see the book titled "unnamable magic"; the appearance of the book was old, bound with hairs of an unknown being, he did not check it before, because Emy was in the room and he did not know what repercussions the strange book of suspicious and unknown origin could provoke.

"I’ll have to check it another time, or destroy it, I think the latter would be best, given the possibilities. If it’s related to that, I can’t let this book continue to exist," Mart thought.

When he was already about to arrive at the training grounds, he first walked along a concrete path, looked at the surroundings, he had become more cautious after what happened with the conspirators, then stepped on the grass, felt the fresh morning air, activated his higher level demonic energy absorption technique to the maximum, and started running around the training ground.

At the beginning he only ran using his physical capabilities to the maximum, so that every muscle in his body was kept in the ideal state of a healthy demon, with good physical conditions without too many pretensions. Thus he ran for almost 20 minutes, after that he used demonic energy to propel his running movements, reaching an impressive speed that raised dust as he advanced, but as the training fields were reinforced with demonic spells they did not suffer the slightest damage, as before, he only spent 20 minutes, the remaining time he used to use his demonic energy to the maximum, expelling and absorbing it, until he began to feel the fatigue in his demonic energy channels. In spite of that he did not hold back, he did push-ups, sit-ups, sit-ups, dumbbell lifts and other routines, when he finished, he sat down and meditated for about ten minutes.

"I took longer than I expected," Mart thought as he stood up and then headed back to his room.

Bang!

A somewhat cracked demonic barrier, which spontaneously arose, protected Mart.

Mart saw the demon with golden hair, red eyes, tanned skin, with the black stone on his forehead which was turning grayish, with a powerful scimitar in his left hand, who was wearing black sportswear and whose right sleeve was flapping in the air.

-What are you doing, young Asfent? I don’t remember having offended you, and if I did, I won’t apologize unless I feel it warrants it. -Mart said without letting his guard down.

[Pride trait activated]

[All attributes temporarily increase by +10].

-You seem to be more skilled than you look. Let’s train! -said Meleic Asfent with a determined tone.

-I’m an aspiring wizard, why should I fight? Spells are my thing. Besides, I have to go back and get ready for classes; I add to that that one of my partners must be waiting for me. -He looked around once more before leaving, and saw the disappointed expression on Meleic’s face.

-Train with the third and fourth year seniors. If you want to grow, you must first be skilled in your field. You are a warrior, when you have perfected your talent and are able to defeat the rest of the warriors who are in your same rank, come and face me if you still consider me a worthy rival. But I clarify, with your rank I meant the fourth rank, you must stop holding back. -After those words Mart withdrew.

-He’s right, I was just about to take out my frustration on the wrong demon, and I haven’t even proven to myself that I’m the strongest warrior in my rank. Just wait, Mart Sevec. -Murmured Meleic who was now alone in the middle of the training field, having acquired a new motivation.

"What’s wrong with these demons? Are they all going through existential crises? Meleic, I hope you don’t become another demon like Eriant. After all, did that bastard Eriant survive the conspirators’ attack? I think it’s very likely. Too bad I didn’t have time! It would have been nice to get rid of that scum in the middle of the chaos," thought Mart as he walked through the corridors of the male dormitories until he arrived in front of his room.

Mart opened the door and saw Iristel sitting in the chair in front of the desk, then he looked at the bed and there was only a folded sheet of paper, he walked to the bed, took the sheet of paper, opened it and read:

"I woke up shortly after you left for training. I left because I don’t want to be late for class. See you later in the library. Love you, Mart."

"My favorite librarian, she’s so cute", Mart thought as he stored the sheet of paper in his demonic bag.

Mart walked over to Iristel, kissed her on the forehead, grabbed a bathrobe and went to shower.

While the shower head was running water over Mart’s body, his mind was still in turmoil, as there were so many chaotic things he had to sort out, having experienced the second attack in which humans also participated.

Mart, calmed his mind as much as he could, finished bathing, and when he came out, as always Iristel had his uniform ready.

-I think I should put a crown on you, you are always by my side. -Mart said, hugging and lifting Iristel.

Iristel wrapped her arms around Mart’s neck and then kissed him. When he finished he put her down and began to dress, she sat on the edge of the bed and told him:

-Mart, in a month the mid-year break will start. I heard that they will extend the break from one to two months because of what happened, as they are going to rebuild the barrier and reorganize security. What will you do in those two months? Will you go back to the Sevec Marquisate?

-Why? Don’t you want to be away from me? -Mart asked with a joking tone, then he saw Iristel looking at him with some anguish.

He sat down next to her and said:

-Don’t worry, you and I talk practically every day, if we don’t take into account the moments when I’m in a coma. The thing is that I don’t want to be far from you, don’t worry, whatever happens, I will always have you by my side.

Mart kissed the back of Iristel’s right hand, then looked at her for a few seconds, she said no more, so he stood up, and was about to leave the room to go to his classes.

-Mart, you can trust me. I will always be on your side.

"I know, that’s why I must save this country whatever it takes," Mart thought seriously, but then he looked at Iristel, smiled confidently and said:

- "I know. You too, you can trust me.

Iristel smiled and then nodded, then Mart opened the door to the room and walked out into the corridors of the male dormitories.

"I think I should focus on culminating the outstanding assignments, after that I can focus on the final exams and the more problematic issues, I can’t solve everything at once, otherwise in the end I will do everything half-heartedly," Mart thought the moment he entered the classroom.

Mart walked to his seat, gave Selis a kiss on the cheek, and then sat down, he was going to greet Asfil, but she seemed quite focused on a book she was reading and he didn’t have time to solve something that from his perspective could wait to be solved.

-Did you try the cake? -Mart asked Selis in a relaxed tone.

-Yes, it was delicious. I was in alchemy class yesterday when you came to our room. I want to learn to make potions that will be useful to you in the future. -Selis replied sweetly.

-Really. I’m glad you think so much of me. -Mart indicated cheerfully so that she would feel motivated.

A few minutes later, Professor Descar Ametz, who was dressed in a brown wizard’s robe with black borders and wore his scarf around his neck, entered the classroom, Professor Descar slowly waved his right hand and on the board appeared the anatomical image of a corroded monster, a demonic beast, a demon and an obsidian orchid.

The professor Descar observed a his students y them he said:

-Today I will explain to you the anatomy of these 4 beings, the way their anatomy influences the absorption and storage of the type of energy that drives them, and of the differences between the 4. Take notes, and use them to research the anatomy of all the living beings we have studied throughout the semester, as this topic will be part of the semester exam.....

"That’s right, I have to finish the paper on Professor Descar’s corroded monsters. I still think that going to Marrac Mountain to hunt would be a good option to increase my attributes; but now I will have to go undercover," Mart thought while moving his writing pen between the fingers of his left hand.
