Chapter 727: Chapter 725: The Su Family is Sending Someone

Jiang Mianmian also came over and continued her dad’s words, praising, "That’s definitely from our Old Jiang Family. Mom, you’re really amazing, it left me speechless. Doing business the way you do is just incredible!"

As Jiang Mianmian spoke, she gave Su Wanyu a thumbs-up, actually two.

Jiang Changhai also joined in the fun, holding up two thumbs to show his admiration for his wife.

Su Wanyu felt immensely satisfied with the compliments from her husband and daughter, "I see you two know how to talk. Come here, daughter, here’s fifty cents for you to spend."

Su Wanyu took out fifty cents from her bulging pockets and handed it to Jiang Mianmian.

"Thanks, Mom, you’re the best, mua~" Jiang Mianmian hugged her mom’s neck and gave her a sweet kiss.

The pocket money from parents is just so sweet!

"And what about me, my wife?" Jiang Changhai gestured towards himself, winking and making faces.

"Here you go, Brother Hai, all this is yours." Su Wanyu took all the money from her pocket and stuffed it into Jiang Changhai’s hands.

Holding the money, Jiang Changhai beamed with joy looking at his daughter and boasted, "Daughter, look, your mom loves me the most. Look at all this money I’ve got, and then look at yours."

Jiang Mianmian shook her head and chuckled, "Hehe, Dad, I’m not jealous at all. I’m a kid, and I should only spend a little money."

Just as the father and daughter were bickering, the phone in the house rang.

Su Wanyu, who was closer, picked it up directly.

"Hello, this is Jiang Changhai’s residence, may I ask who’s calling?" Su Wanyu politely asked.

"Wanyu, it’s your Big Uncle Su," came the voice of Big Uncle Su over the phone.

Upon hearing the voice, Jiang Changhai put his index finger to his lips, signaling his daughter to stay quiet; he moved closer to sit next to his wife, curious about what his uncle-in-law wanted.

Su Wanyu was also surprised that her uncle had called her.

"Big Uncle, what’s up? Is there something wrong?" Su Wanyu asked politely.

"Well, Wanyu, Big Uncle’s place is going on a holiday in a few days, and it just so happens Wanyu Ting is on summer vacation too. I was thinking, since you’re all by yourself over there without any relatives, why don’t I bring your aunt over to see you, and if it’s convenient, we can also meet with the relatives from Changhai’s side," Big Uncle Su explained softly.

Upon hearing this, Su Wanyu’s grip on the phone tightened suddenly.

She thought she knew why her uncle wanted to visit.

He was likely worried about her being alone over there with no relatives, vulnerable to being looked down upon or bullied by the in-laws, so he wanted to bring his family over to see her.

Saying it was to see her was also a way of letting her in-laws know that she had her own family’s support and not to bully her.

Su Wanyu knew her uncle’s thoughtfulness and felt a mix of emotions.

When she first got married, the old lady had taken advantage of the fact that Su Wanyu had no family support and, being a sent-down laborer, never treated her nicely.

Fortunately, Jiang Changhai was a protective husband and had shielded her well over the years.

Otherwise, she couldn’t imagine how the old lady might have treated her.

Su Wanyu sighed inwardly but ultimately did not reject her uncle’s kindness, "Sure, Big uncle, when are you coming? I’ll go with Brother Hai to pick you up."

"Ah, good. We’ll come next week. We’ll call you before we head out," Big Uncle Su said, excited hearing her acceptance.

Su Wanyu responded softly, "Mm, okay, we’ll be in touch then."
