Chapter 253: Demon Hunting

Chapter 253: Demon Hunting

Marcus smirked, "Fraction of your power? How amusing. Why don’t you show me?"

Ethan suddenly waved his hand, and a beating heart appeared in his grip.

It was still beating.

But there was a hole in Marcus’s chest. Though vampires were immortal creatures, that depended on who slayed them. If they were killed by someone like Ethan, there was no returning back.

Ethan crushed the heart.

There was still a smile on Marcus’s pale, handsome face. His brain was still processing what the fuck had just happened.

But he was gone before his brain could finish processing.

"Oops, you couldn’t even see my fraction of power."

Then he looked at the woman and Adward.

Their faces were full of horror at that time.

They couldn’t believe their eyes. Marcus was dead. They didn’t even see what had happened. The young man waved his hand and Marcus was gone.

Both of them started running, but to their despair, no matter how fast they ran, they couldn’t move an inch.

It felt like they had been placed in an infinite time loop.

Ethan slowly appeared before them.

"Your husband should have held his tongue. Words can bring disaster."

With that, he finished off the two of them. Erina didn’t see this process. Ethan placed an illusion in front of her, where a demon slayer came in and slayed the vampire. She even thanked that person.

"Brother, that person was awesome. He killed that vampire so easily."

Ethan also smiled at her.

After that, he left with Erina on a bus. They had a hearty meal together, and then they went to school. School wasn’t over yet, so Anna hadn’t arrived.

Ethan had killed the vampire by covering the entire area with his domain so that even powerful people wouldn’t be able to find out what had occurred there.

The day was over, and Anna came to pick them up.

At night, Ethan vanished from his room. Today he had a meeting with Ryo. Ryo would take Ethan to a monster hunt.

Ethan arrived at the nearby street and then started walking slowly.

Ryo and his team were waiting near a park.

Soon, Ethan saw Ryo standing there, along with five more young men and women.

"Ethan, today you will go on a demon hunt with them. They are also rookie demon slayers like you."

Ryo introduced Ethan to them. They were Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko, and Kanao.

Ethan looked at Ryo and asked, "Tell me, Ryo, the Demon Slayer anime was created by inspiration from you, right? So is there a Yorichi, the creator of the Sun Breathing technique? Is there Muzan, the progenitor of demons? Is there?"

Ryo started laughing out loud.

"Though one of our people influenced the making of that anime, there are also demon progenitors, upper moons, and the creator of Sun Breathing, but the names are different. And the First Hashira, the creator of the Sun Breathing technique, is still alive and kicking.

He is the president of the Demon Slayer Association.

As for the demon progenitor, his name is Michel. The upper first-rank demon is the president’s brother. They are on a whole other level. You don’t have to know about that."

Ethan was speechless.

Ryo winked. "These guys are actually not Tanjiro, Zenitsu, or Kanao. They had different names, but after watching the Demon Slayer anime, they changed their names according to their elements.

Okay, enough with that. Let’s go to your first demon hunt. Don’t disappoint me."

"Sure."

Then the seven of them left in a car.

Inside the car, Tanjiro gave Ethan a mild smile and started to talk.

Ethan instantly stopped that dude.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Give this creepy kind smile to someone else, you bastard, or else I’ll break your face."

Instantly, everyone broke into loud laughter, especially the guy who was cosplaying Inosuke.

"I told you, Kamaboko, you wouldn’t listen. That smile feels creepy."

Tanjiro turned red with shame, because his girlfriend was cosplaying Kanao, and she was in the car.

His reputation was ruined.

Ethan looked at Ryo and asked, "Ryo, where are we going exactly? If there are so many demons, how the fuck do you control their news from coming out to the public? Do you have some super-talented hacker or something who watches over the online news?"

Ryo laughed again. "We don’t have to conceal the news. This is done by the cultivators. They have strange powers, which can even manipulate the online world too."

"Oh! Do you have any cultivators in the headquarters?"

"Yes, we do have some. If you do well tonight, you might be able to meet them."

Ethan didn’t ask any more questions.

Soon they arrived at a forest.

"There are demons inside the forest like those you saw in that anime.

Go and slay them. There are some higher-order demons too. Stay vigilant and show teamwork."

Tanjiro again came to Ethan and asked, "Do you think we will be able to meet Master Yorichi?"

Ethan said, "How the fuck did you become a demon slayer with this delusional mind? And the president’s name is not Yorichi, Ryo already said that."

"You are not friendly at all."

"Focus on the hunt."

Ethan vanished into the deeper part of the forest.

He knew the headquarters was probably watching all of their movements, as this time they were not the only ones participating. There were some other rookies too, brought by other demon slayers.

He entered the forest and saw a mutilated demon.

He felt disgusted, took out the sword Ryo had given him before entering the forest, and used the first form of the Lightning Breathing technique, Lightning Flash.

Boom!

Lightning surged behind his back, and he cut the demon like butter.

After that, he jumped on a tree to see other demons. They were crawling everywhere.

He couldn’t believe that in this modern world, there were so many supernatural things occurring, and normal people didn’t even have the slightest idea.

They assumed these were just fantasy, but all fantasy came from a reality.

Ethan killed some more demons, and then he sat on a tree branch, enjoying the show.

While he was enjoying the show, suddenly a foreign spaceship entered his mental domain. It had just entered the Milky Way galaxy, and its destination was still unknown.

Ethan tried to find out about the higher-dimensional creature the system had mentioned, but he couldn’t find anything.

Then the system told him that it was a fifth-dimensional creature, and his third-dimensional brain couldn’t see it. He would at least have to be a tier 50, meaning a peak fourth-dimensional being, to be able to see the true form of that creature.

Ethan was observing the spaceship. If it came to the solar system, then he would like to see what the ruler would do.

But what Ethan didn’t know was that spaceship belonged to one of the largest factions of prime reality.

They were looking for the anomaly that had suddenly appeared in their reality and altered the line of fate.

They wanted to eliminate the cause as soon as possible, but the problem was that they couldn’t find the culprit by any law. So they were searching manually.
