Chapter 235: Adventurer Guild
They arrived at the capital.
Ethan directly went to plan for his next moves. He sent his shadows to find out the whereabouts of other candidates, but they couldn’t find anything at all. All his shadows were above tier 7 whom he sent for this mission.
So they could move at an incredible speed, but even with that speed they didn’t find any useful information.
Everywhere they went were some random mortal kingdoms, and their kings weren’t much strong either.
But no one went near the guild, Ethan forbade them to go there.
"What is this place? Where are those candidates? We have to attack blindly? I mean, we all have different faces and auras."
He needed to find out the candidates first, then he would be able to attack.
For that, he would need detailed information about this world. Not mortal level information which he already read in the library. He needed deeper knowledge.
And he knew exactly where he would find such knowledge.
But for that he would have to wait for Alex to return.
Maybe Alex wouldn’t be able to bring much information, but with that he should be able to find out about the guild master.
Alex returned at noon.
"Your majesty, I have gathered the information you have told me to gather. But there are many problems."
Ethan was sipping a cup of tea and listening to the report.
"First, I think this guild master doesn’t exist."
Ethan looked at him with some intrigue in his eyes, "Oh? Why do you think that?"
Alex said, "I talked to many adventurers in the guild. No one has ever seen the guild master. Everything is handled by the vice guild master.
And secondly, the place of the guild’s headquarter is located so deep under the ground, it feels like a demonic cult.
And I didn’t feel any powerful aura in the guild. They are all a bunch of weaklings. And I couldn’t find the vice guild master either."
Ethan sighed. He didn’t get any information he wanted. Looks like he had to go personally.
"Okay, you go and train the soldiers," Ethan said to Alex.
Ethan then vanished. Alex’s eyes were wide open.
Alex then sighed and left the room.
Meanwhile, Ethan appeared in a forest. With his mental domain, he could cover an area similar to 4 billion Cosmos.
Which was an immense amount of area.
So finding this forest was not a hard job for him.
This was the place where the guild was located. But Ethan could tell this place was just a cover for the main guild.
The main guild should be located in another dimension. And all the permanent members should reside there.
This place was for the rookie members, who were not worthy to become permanent.
But that dimension should be connected to this fake one at some point. He would just have to find out that point and then he could enter their main guild.
Ethan came in front of a cave. It looked very ordinary, but the moment he entered it, 2 men appeared out of nowhere.
But Ethan saw them appearing from an underground tunnel.
"Who are you? And what do you want?"
Ethan said, "I came here to join the guild."
The two men looked at each other and asked, "What is your adventurer talent?"
Ethan just looked at them and the two of them started floating in the sky without their will.
"Do I have the capability to join?"
They were panicked now.
How could a newbie make them fly?
"Yes, yes, you are more than capable. Please put us down."
Then he released them and they fell to the ground with a thud.
"Please follow me," one of them said after standing up.
Ethan started following the man.
They entered that underground tunnel, and it was something like a life.
They started going down.
Four minutes later, they arrived at the fake HQ of the guild.
Ethan instantly found out the reason why his mental domain couldn’t penetrate this soil.
It was covered by an array formation. But now that he was in, he could easily scan the area, and he did it.
But as soon as he spread his mental power, 5 powerful auras appeared in front of him.
All of them were tier 12 life forms.
"No need to scan. You can enter the main guild. Follow us," one of them said in a harsh tone.
Ethan didn’t say anything and followed them behind.
A portal appeared in front of them and they entered through the portal.
Ethan saw as soon as these 5 appeared, they used a domain to make themselves invisible in front of others.
This was the reason no one was reacting.
Ethan entered the portal behind them, when he exited from the other side of the portal, he saw a totally different world. It was full of greenery, the air was so pure, the water in the lake was also so pure.
So this was the place where all the powerful members of the guild lived.
Ethan wasn’t in the mood for wasting any more time and directly unleashed his mental domain to gauge their strength.
There were hundreds of powerful auras everywhere, but not above tier 10.
The five of them who went to fetch him should be special class adventurers.
His mental domain was penetrating further and further, until it came to a secret chamber inside a palace.
His mental domain couldn’t see what was inside, it was completely sealed.
Ethan asked, "Whose palace is this?"
One of them replied, "It is the palace of the guild master.
Don’t go near that palace, it is forbidden to go there without permission.
Okay, now come with us and register yourself. The vice guild master wants to meet you."
Ethan followed them inside the main guild hall.
There were many adventurers, eating, gossiping, laughing.
When they saw Ethan, they became excited instantly, the kind of excitement you get from getting a new toy.
They felt like Ethan was a toy to play with in their dull life.
So one of them couldn’t hold back their excitement and shouted, "Newbie, come here after your registration. We will give you the guidelines for staying here."
Ethan could tell that dude wanted to have some fun.
He smiled, let’s play then. He looked at the man eye to eye and nodded.
After that, he registered as an E rank adventurer. All the adventurers registered as E rank, then they would have to accept missions from the guild to get promotion.
After he got his card, the 5 of them vanished from there.
When they saw them vanish, everyone heaved a sigh of relief.
One even stood up and slapped on the back of that burly man’s head who had just shouted.
"Dumbass, can’t you control your excitement a little? You almost ruined everything."
The burly man didn’t get angry and laughed awkwardly, "Hehe, I am sorry. I couldn’t hold back."
Then everyone looked at Ethan and laughed nastily.
Once in a blue moon, they got to see the registration of a newbie with no background.
So they were going to fully use this chance to get entertained.
One of them roared, "Come here you new piece of shit. Why are you standing there like an idiot?"
