Chapter 232: I want you to serve under me

Soon, everyone took their weapon and went to the front line.

The demons were not very powerful; if they were, the city would not have lasted this long.

Ethan didn’t come out, though. He was observing the world tree; it had already surpassed the size of the solar system and was still increasing.

Now the question was.

Ethan didn’t think this evolution process would stop soon, but at the speed it was growing it would soon reach the size of his inner black hole, which was half of a galaxy.

Then what? Would it stop because there was no more space?

Let’s wait and see.

The battle at the border had already started. The young man was named Alex.

He used his appraisal on him.

[Name: Alex Ferguson

Tier: 3

Talent: Heir of the world serpent]

The boy was only fifteen, but was already a Tier 3 and he was the heir of the world serpent.

Ethan didn’t know what that meant. Maybe the world serpent was somekind of mythical being in this reality or maybe a guardian beast or a source of catastrophe?

But one thing was sure: the inner reality of the Tier 25, where he was right now, was surely mysterious.

Oh, he didn’t mention it. The inner world becomes a reality when one becomes Tier 24.

It was learned by the system, and the reality was similar to other realities outside.

So was there a possibility that the world they thought was real was actually an inner world of a higher-dimensional being?

Ethan asked that to the system too, but it answered,

[Master you are still not ready to bear the karma of this level of knowledge.]

Which gave him the idea that his hypothesis was correct.

Man!

Okay, he would think about it when he became more powerful, but right now his target was to win the inheritance trial.

The world tree would need more time, so he should go outside to see what was going on.

It was frustrating that he could not attack personally unless he was being provoked.

So should he try to provoke others and let them attack him first so he could counter?

Hehehe! A typical villain move. But villains are the realistic people, whereas heroes are some delusional fools.

Ethan never wanted to be a hero. Anything that could get his job done was okay with him.

Ethan started walking toward the battlefield.

Soon he reached there. There were countless bodies of monsters, and Alex was floating in the air with his hands behind his back.

His long hair floated in the air too.

He looked very majestic.

Ethan had already covered thousands of kilometers under his ultimate domain, so he could see everything in molecular detail inside his domain.

This time, Alex’s pupil didn’t look like a normal human’s, but rather like the pupil of a snake.

So his eyes changed when he entered battle mode.

Ethan thought maybe that was why he was hiding in a lower kingdom from his enemies out there.

This boy sure was a protagonist-level character, worth nurturing.

Then he looked at the adventurers; they all had a horrifying look on their faces, as if they had seen something terrifying.

It was okay, as Alex killed nearly a thousand demons in ten minutes.

For those weaklings, it was heavenly. Probably by now they felt honored just to stand behind him.

Alex came down from the air and landed in front of the soldiers.

The battlefield was silent for a while, but then thunderous cheering burst out from the crowd.

But Alex was very calm and composed.

Ethan slowly walked toward Alex and said calmly, "Follow me."

He radiated an undeniable authority.

Alex almost started walking instinctively.

But then a loud shout rang out.

It was Sam again. "Bastard, who do you think you are to order Sir Alex around? Beg for mercy from him; maybe he will forgive your sorry ass."

Alex came back to his senses with the shout.

He was dumbfounded that he had almost taken the king’s order as a divine command. What the hell was that?

But then he saw that idiot Sam shouting again; he instantly vanished from his place and slapped him.

Sam flew away like a ragdoll; sixteen teeth flew from his mouth.

Sam hadn’t even dreamed that the person he had bootlicked would slap him so hard.

But before he could process the situation, he fainted mid-air.

Alex looked at Geralt and said, "I don’t want to join your guild. You may leave."

Geralt wanted to say something but didn’t dare.

He looked behind and said, "Take that idiot and let’s leave."

He wanted to shred that bastard into tiny pieces.

Ethan didn’t say anything. He was just standing there and watching the show.

Even if he didn’t want to, he always radiated an innate dominance over others.

Alex came to him and was about to ask what had happened, but Ethan started walking slowly.

Alex also followed him; he didn’t ask anything.

On the other hand, Jonathon, the general of the royal army, was standing there like a wooden statue.

What the hell was happening?

Why would such a supreme existence serve under him? Why would the king behave as if it were nothing, and order the supreme existence about like a subordinate after seeing everything?

And most importantly, why would the man follow the order?

Their king was just a mortal with no experience in handling the kingdom.

Nothing was making sense anymore.

The minister Nilim was also present there.

He looked at Nilim and asked, "Minister, tell me, what is going on?"

Nilim laughed wryly, "If you ask me, who would I ask?"

Both of them sighed.

Soon Ethan and Alex reached his carriage. He went inside and said, "Come inside."

Alex went inside.

He had not spoken this whole time. Just as he was about to speak, Ethan stopped him and activated the other-dimensional effect of the ultimate domain.

Now they were separate in their own dimension. The supreme Tier 25 existence, whose inner reality they were in now, wouldn’t be able to hear their conversation.

"Okay, now we can talk, Alex, the heir of the world serpent."

Alex felt the land under his feet vanish. He fell into an infinite abyss.

How could a mortal king know his identity, when none of his enemies knew it?

He was running from them not because his real identity had been leaked but because he had shown way too much talent for his age and background.

Now they wanted to capture him and study him.

That’s why he was hiding inside this mortal kingdom.

He started sweating profusely. He wanted to attack, but his sixth sense was screaming of immense danger. The moment he made a move against this man, he would die for sure.

Ethan saw his expression and smiled kindly.

"No need to be so cautious. I thought your enemies knew, and that’s why you were hiding from them. Is that not the case?"

Alex smiled wryly. "No, I just showed too much talent."

Ethan had a look of understanding.

"Okay, I won’t beat around the bush. I want you to serve under me and I’ll protect you."
