Chapter 347: Chapter 345 I Like It When She Troubles Me
Jian Sirun looked at the drug he had just developed. He grinned, revealing a row of small, white teeth, a sinister smile glinting in his eyes. "This thing will definitely make Si Junyan beg for life but be unable to obtain it, beg for death but be unable to achieve it. He will certainly love it!"
Si Junyan sneezed violently and suddenly woke up.
His arm was still excruciatingly painful; he inhaled sharply.
"Xinxin, what kind of quack did you find? Why does it still hurt so much!"
Xinxin had deliberately dislocated one of his arms, and now she was intentionally finding doctors to perform useless surgeries to torment him! Si Junyan wished he could tear Xinxin limb from limb.
"Why the hell are you screaming?" One of Xinxin’s men, Aliang, rushed in and kicked Si Junyan over. "Show some respect for Sister Xin! Use honorifics when you speak. Has no one taught you any manners?"
Si Junyan gritted his teeth, took a deep breath, and forced a smile, pleading, "Boss, please ask Sister Xin to find me another doctor. It still hurts so much; I’m about to die."
"You’re shouting loud enough. You’re not dying! Stop exaggerating and wasting our time. Get lost."
BANG!
Aliang slammed the door shut, cutting off the sounds of wailing and begging from within.
Aliang had long found him repulsive. A pretty boy, good for nothing. He seduced Sister Xin and nearly got her killed. If Xinxin hadn’t ordered them to spare his miserable life, the guys would have hacked him to pieces long ago.
"What a wimp. Pah!"
A doctor came over.
"Hey, who are you?"
"I’m here to give the patient inside an injection."
Annoyed, Aliang waved his hand. "Hurry up and get out when you’re done."
"Okay."
The doctor went inside. After a short while, Si Junyan fell silent.
"Huh?" Aliang sensed something was off. He rushed in to see Si Junyan lying quietly on the bed, asleep.
The doctor smiled at him. "He couldn’t bear the pain, so I gave him a sedative."
Aliang ordered, "It’s too much trouble. No need to waste medical resources on him in the future. He’s trash; as long as he’s alive, that’s enough."
The doctor quickly administered the rest of the medication and left.
Aliang couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something strange about this doctor. He looks unfamiliar!
He made a call to inquire. The medical office replied, "Yes, our chief physician went over."
"Oh! Then it’s alright."
「Medical Office.」
Jian Sirun returned to change his clothes.
The Hospital Director followed closely, carefully buttering him up. "Dr. Jian, about this patient..."
"We were instructed from above that he must not die. Do you have a solution?"
The Hospital Director was now facing a mountain of problems, and he also couldn’t manage Si Junyan.
It was just an amputation, after all. But the wound simply wouldn’t heal; in fact, it was getting worse, with the nerves necrotizing.
Seeing the condition spiraling out of control, they had no choice but to invite Jian Sirun, hoping he might examine the patient, given the difficult and complex nature of the case. They hadn’t expected to receive a reply so quickly after sending the email, let alone for Jian Sirun himself to arrive in person!
If he hadn’t insisted his identity be kept from too many people, I would have wanted to roll out the red carpet with drums and gongs to welcome him!
"There shouldn’t be any problems now," Jian Sirun said calmly.
Overjoyed, the Hospital Director practically jumped. "Really? That’s great! Dr. Jian, you’re truly a miracle doctor."
Jian Sirun merely smiled without saying a word and left through the back door.
As he left, he repeatedly instructed, "Don’t tell anyone I was here."
"Understood."
The Hospital Director watched as Jian Sirun got into the SUV and departed silently.
The head nurse beside him couldn’t help but remark, "So handsome, incredibly capable, a once-in-a-century genius, and most importantly, his medical skills are brilliant! A man like this is truly like a celestial being."
"Yes! Keep today’s matter under wraps, understand?"
Jian Sirun was practically a god in the medical world.
His word was law.
"Rest assured, Director. Besides you and me, no one knows Dr. Jian was at our hospital today."
Jian Sirun got into the car and adjusted his glasses. His aura, one that suggested he could kill without leaving a trace, made Jian Xi, who was driving, shiver.
"Thank you, Fourth Brother," she said sweetly, smiling to curry favor.
Jian Sirun’s face was expressionless. "Such a major incident occurred, and you didn’t want my help? Jian Xi, you’re really bold."
He didn’t call her Little Sister, but Jian Xi.
Fourth Brother is furious! The consequences will be severe!
"So, Fifth Brother got hurt too? It seems our opponents are quite formidable."
Jian Xi nodded hastily. "If it weren’t for Si Yuhuan, I’m afraid I wouldn’t have found any trace of Si Junyan by now. That guy is truly vicious and despicable."
"What’s this? First, you say Si Yuhuan did you a favor. Are you afraid I’ll go after him?"
Jian Sirun’s sharp gaze fell on her.
A shiver ran down Jian Xi’s spine.
She wouldn’t dare provoke Fourth Brother, the true King of Hell.
"No, it’s just... Right, how is Fifth Brother doing?"
I can’t explain it... Better change the subject quickly.
Jian Sirun had no intention of dwelling on the topic. "He should wake up in a few days. He sustained serious injuries; he’s lucky to be alive."
"Yes, it’s all my fault."
"Why is it your fault? It’s not as if he wouldn’t take on dangerous missions if you weren’t involved!"
Jian Sirun looked up, the chill in his eyes bone-deep. "That Si Junyan, he really deserves to die!"
"Once Mingming is rescued, I’ll deal with Si Junyan."
Jian Xi pursed her lips, her anxiety mounting.
"Okay."
Fourth Brother would surely flay Si Junyan and break his bones, making him wish for death but unable to achieve it, eventually turning him into an experimental subject.
「The Restaurant.」
Si Yuhuan had already reserved a table. As soon as Jian Xi led Jian Sirun in, Si Yuhuan immediately stood up.
"Fourth Brother."
He approached, shedding his usual aloof demeanor, and greeted them warmly.
Jian Sirun merely gave him a cursory glance, said nothing, and sat down.
Si Yuhuan instructed the waiter to serve the dishes, which included some light and palatable options that Jian Sirun usually favored.
Jian Xi nudged him. "How do you know what my Fourth Brother likes to eat?"
"It’s a secret."
He had clearly put effort into this, having had Yan Qing gather information on Jian Sirun’s preferences beforehand.
He hadn’t paid Jian Xi much mind before, nor the Jian Family, but now he wanted to...
"Fourth Brother, please try the Longjing tea. The Pre-Rain Longjing here is quite good."
His demeanor was elegant; he was clearly well-versed in the art of tea.
Jian Xi was surprised. I never knew he was skilled in these things. This man truly seemed like a perfect creation of the heavens, if only his temper weren’t so awful and his character so detestable.
"Director Si, you’re too kind. My little sister has caused you trouble. We, her elder brothers, are quite embarrassed. From today onwards, we won’t need to trouble you any further."
"Huh?" Jian Xi looked at Jian Sirun.
I can’t believe Fourth Brother came all this way just to say that!
She kept trying to catch his eye, lowering her voice as she leaned closer to Jian Sirun.
"Fourth Brother, if I don’t rely on him, I won’t be able to take down those villains from the Secret Gate. How will I rescue Mingming then? This isn’t the time to antagonize Si Yuhuan."
Jian Sirun calmly pressed her wrist. "Do you not trust me, your Fourth Brother?"
Jian Xi looked into his eyes. I have a bad feeling Fourth Brother isn’t joking.
"But we’ve already planned everything; we’re just waiting to spring the trap! If we break ties with Si Yuhuan now, the losses will outweigh the gains. Fourth Brother! Can’t you trust me this once?"
Si Yuhuan pulled Jian Xi into his embrace, holding her fast. "I’m helping her of my own free will. Do you think you can just say my help isn’t needed and that’s that?"
