Capítulo 1701: Chapter 838: Action, Setting the Trap!

Mo Han clenched his fists tightly, took a deep breath, and calmed his inner anxiety.

“Let’s go.”

The three of them stepped into the cave entrance and were instantly swallowed by darkness.

One couldn’t see their hand in front of their face.

Qing Shuang fumbled in her arms and took out a Luminous Pearl the size of a pigeon egg.

The soft light slowly spread, illuminating the surroundings.

The cave was filled with jagged rocks, intersecting like fangs, and the ground was littered with eerie white bones, looking particularly frightening in the dim light.

“These are people who accidentally entered this place and died here,” Bai Ling explained.

“This place is full of danger, everyone must be very careful.”

The three continued deeper, the cave becoming narrower, the air thin and difficult to breathe.

Suddenly, a rustling sound came from ahead, as if something was crawling on the stone wall.

“What sound is that?” Mo Han stopped in his tracks and asked warily.

“It sounds like snakes,” Qing Shuang listened and her expression changed slightly.

Before she finished speaking, several giant pythons as thick as bowls lunged out of the darkness.

They opened their bloody mouths, revealing sharp, poisonous fangs, and a rancid breath hit them in the face.

“Watch out!” Luo Chen shouted in a low voice, drawing his Longsword.

The sword gleamed coldly, reflecting his determined face.

Qing Shuang also quickly waved her Magic Wand, chanting incantations.

One by one, sharp Ice Cones appeared out of thin air and shot towards the giant pythons like lightning.

Mo Han, on the other hand, channeled his Spiritual Power within, clenched his fists, and punched fiercely.

The wind from his fists howled, carrying a fierce momentum, sending a giant python retreating several feet.

The three engaged in a fierce battle with the pythons.

In the cave, Sword Light flashed and Spells roared, the pythons hissed, and the scene was chaotic.

These giant pythons had thick skin and tough scales like iron, and were incredibly strong.

Moreover, they were numerous, emerging continuously from the darkness.

The three gradually fell into a disadvantage, facing danger at every moment.

“This won’t work, we need to find a way to break through,” Luo Chen shouted between gasps while swinging his sword.

“I’ll clear the path, you follow.” Qing Shuang gritted her teeth and quickly formed seals with her hands.

She chanted incantations, and a massive Ice Wall rose from the ground, blocking the pythons.

The three seized the opportunity to rush forward, passed through the Ice Wall, and continued onward.

The pythons frantically rammed into the Ice Wall, making deafening noises.

Cracks appeared on the Ice Wall, and it looked like it wouldn’t hold for long.

The three ran for their lives, not knowing how long they had been running.

Finally, they arrived at a relatively wider part of the cave.

In the center of the cave was an altar, on which lay a Crystal Orb.

The Crystal Orb emitted a soft glow, standing out in the dark cave.

“Is this the Divine Artifact?” Mo Han asked, his voice a bit rushed.

“That’s right,” Bai Ling nodded, “only our family’s bloodline can activate it.”

“What are we waiting for, activate it now,” Qing Shuang urged, already a bit exhausted.

Bai Ling walked to the altar and gently placed her hand on the Crystal Orb.

The Crystal Orb suddenly lit up, emitting a dazzling light.

The entire cave was as bright as day.

At the same time, the cave began to shake violently, rocks rolling down as if doomsday had arrived.

“What’s happening?” Mo Han asked in horror, his body shaking, almost unable to stand.

“Not good, it’s collapsing,” Luo Chen’s face changed dramatically.

Before he finished speaking, the ceiling began to rain down debris, striking the three like raindrops.

The three hurriedly dodged, but the debris became more numerous, larger, and there was no place to hide.

“Run!” Luo Chen shouted, grabbing Mo Han with one hand and Qing Shuang with the other, rushing toward the cave exit.

The three sprinted wildly, with the cave collapsing behind them, debris flying, dust billowing.

Eventually, they escaped the cave in a sorry state.

The cave behind them collapsed with a thunderous roar, filling the air with dust.

The three looked back at the collapsed cave, still shaken and gasping for breath.

“What about the Divine Artifact?” Mo Han snapped back to reality, asking urgently.

“It’s in there,” Bai Ling pointed at the collapsed cave, her expression bleak.

“Now what?”

“What else can we do, dig it out,” Qing Shuang said, starting to dig at the debris.

“Wait,” Luo Chen stopped her.

“The commotion here is too big, it might attract people from the Blood Ghost Sect, we should leave first.”

“What about the Divine Artifact?” Mo Han asked anxiously, eyes full of reluctance.

“We’ll find a way later,” Luo Chen said helplessly.

The three had no choice but to leave.

They went to a nearby town and found an inn to stay in.

In the room, the atmosphere was heavy.

“What should we do now?” Qing Shuang broke the silence and asked.

“Let’s rest first and then make a plan,” Luo Chen said, rubbing his temples.

The three went to their respective rooms to rest.

Mo Han lay on the bed, unable to sleep.

He thought of the mysterious Crystal Orb, the collapsed cave, and his uncle who looked similar to him.

His heart was full of doubts and unease.

He got up, went to the window, and opened it.

Looking at the night outside, he secretly swore.

He must uncover the truth and avenge his father.

The next morning, the three got up and discussed strategies again.

“We have to find a way to get that Divine Artifact,” Mo Han said firmly.

“But the place has collapsed, how do we get in?” Qing Shuang asked, frowning.

“Digging definitely won’t work, it’s too loud and could attract people from the Blood Ghost Sect,” Luo Chen analyzed.

“We need to find another way.”

“I do have an idea,” Bai Ling suddenly spoke, a glimmer in her eyes.

“I can use our family’s Secret Technique to temporarily open a passage, but it will only last for the time it takes an incense stick to burn.”
