Chapter 1131: 580: Do You Want to Win? (Part 2)

Chapter 1131: Chapter 580: Do You Want to Win? (Part 2)

“What does Lord Heins think?” asked Costate.

“Take it up a notch, interstellar broadcast; with the force of thunder, crush those guys, trample them underfoot!” Heins’s attitude was explosive, “I want to see who still dares to be two-faced!”

This time, no one objected. It was indeed time to show some force.

Costate pondered, “Next is the matter of the Holy Castle. We’ve caught another batch of selected individuals, sending them from various directions. The fastest should arrive in about three months.”

No need to worry about being discovered by others; no one was secretly interfering. The Empire’s efficiency was terrifyingly fast, not capturing just one, but a whole batch.

“By then, we can send people in again to confirm the situation with Azure Dragon,” Costate pondered.

“Although we have reliable information, Azure Dragon’s true body is not in the Holy Castle. It only descended in a special way, likely using a mimicry body.”

“But we still need to confirm this information. We’re preparing to isolate the external information entanglement communication method of the Holy Castle upon entry, to conduct verification.”

“If that’s really the case, it makes things simple,” Schmidt couldn’t help but say, “Without Azure Dragon’s interference, the Holy Castle isn’t a major issue.”

“As for the next step, we’ll have to wait until this information is confirmed,” Costate looked around, saying sternly, “The structure of each Holy Castle is different, past experience doesn’t help, and needs fresh research.”

“Azure Dragon isn’t an ordinary evolved body. I hope everyone won’t rush.”

Everyone nodded in agreement.

……

Buzz–

The intelligent terminal placed nearby trembled, and Li Ming opened his eyes to see that its vibrations were slow, and the buzzing sound was quite prolonged, causing some discomfort.

Li Ming clicked his tongue and immediately exited the development state. At the moment the time rate synchronized, he felt an inexplicable dizziness.

It felt as if everything in front of him was enveloped by a layer of gray mist, which was extremely uncomfortable, but it disappeared in an instant.

“This is the time distortion effect,” Li Ming looked at his hands.

This occurred because his own space-time information did not align with the universe’s cognition.

One should not underestimate this effect; currently, the time difference is short and not apparent,

but as the time difference lengthens, the universe will unconsciously correct this cognitive difference, causing either spatial information chaos—part of the body aging, while another part appears like a child—or worse, cause immediate demise.

Nobody can withstand the mighty force of the universe.

However, with the passive ability of [Time Immunity], this cognitive time difference doesn’t greatly affect him.

He casually picked up the intelligent terminal and found Anduin was contacting him, so he connected immediately.

A virtual screen popped up, Anduin’s face looked somewhat upset, and upon seeing him, Anduin slightly reined it in, “Lord Azure Dragon, still resting?”

“Otherwise,” Li Ming said blandly, “If the Three Great Civilizations don’t make a move, I can hardly go out seeking a fight with them, can I?”

“Sigh…” Anduin seemed a bit at a loss, “The Three Great Civilizations are all deploying troops on the Holy Castle. Without the Star Alliance and the Federation entering fully or figuring certain things out, they likely won’t truly initiate a hunt on you.”

“However, the actions of the High-level Life Form Union have angered them.”

“Oh?” Li Ming couldn’t help but ask, “What’s wrong? Are they targeting the Joint Organization?”

“Not quite that naive,” Anduin shook his head with a sigh, “Making a move now would plainly give you an opportunity, right?”

“It’s the agreed challenge,” Anduin explained, “Just received notification, the council seat challenge is about to begin, and it’s quite large scale. They claim it’s for fairness, justice, openness, and even plan an interstellar broadcast facing the entire universe.”

“Interstellar broadcast?” Li Ming was surprised.

This was originally not such a large-scale matter, something that could have been resolved internally and then announced publicly later.

“Yes, the Three Civilizations clearly intend to use us older folks to awe others,” Anduin’s face looked troubled, “I expect they’ll go all out to trample our reputations underfoot.”

While angered, he was also resigned. An interstellar broadcast could equate to a massive public embarrassment.

Unless one admitted defeat or didn’t show up, but either way, one’s reputation would still be trampled.

“Is that so? That does seem a bit much,” Li Ming’s eyes flickered, responding somewhat casually while thinking about other things.

Anduin gave him a glance and sighed again.

This matter was partially due to their secret support of Azure Dragon but not entirely because of Azure Dragon.

The Joint Organization’s support also had its ulterior motives.

Azure Dragon was now entangled in troubles, and it’s unrealistic to expect him to turn the tide.

Perhaps, the Three Civilizations were actually worried they couldn’t find him, waiting for him to walk into the trap.

This contact was nothing more than a venting session, exchanging information.

Anduin reminded, “You should also be careful; the Empire has captured a large batch of selected individuals, likely entering the Holy Castle the same way as last time.”

“Hmm…” Li Ming noncommittally looked at Anduin, abruptly asking, “Do you want to win?”

“Win?” Anduin’s heart skipped a beat as he cautiously asked, “What do you mean?”

“Exactly what it sounds like. I’m asking if you want to win,” Li Ming repeated.

Anduin furrowed his brows; before the interstellar broadcast, he had resigned himself to leaving the council seat.

Though the face-to-face challenge at the expansion conference was a bit embarrassing, it had been too long ago.

But this interstellar broadcast was not just a matter of losing face; it was trampling it.

A clay man has a temper; what more the Star Gate Master who rose from the Chaotic Star Gap battles?

If there was no outlet, it might have been fine, but Azure Dragon’s words stirred the flame in his heart.

“Do you have a way?” Anduin asked cautiously, emphasizing, “If you show up, it might not be worth it.”

“No…” Li Ming shook his head, “You just need to tell me if you want to win. If you do, I have the means to help you.”

Anduin’s expression changed; the consequences behind this statement weren’t small.

If he did win, others’ reactions, the Three Civilizations’ reactions.

Anduin hesitated greatly but gritting his teeth at Azure Dragon’s calm visage, he said, “Win, I want to win!”

“Very well, then, can you ask others if they want to win?” Li Ming asked again.

Anduin paused, his eyes suddenly vibrant with light.

Being the standout, he was a bit concerned, but if others wanted to win too, it would change the situation entirely.

“Hmm, Lord Perkins would surely have this thought, Axel has openly expressed dissatisfaction several times and should be convincible, Sener loves chaos and would surely agree…”

“…But the Dwarf King, who has to consider his race, may not easily agree… and…”

Anduin speculated and then said gravely, “Give me a few days, I’ll provide you a list.”

“But…” he hesitated, “Are you sure you won’t be detected?”

“If I wasn’t confident, I wouldn’t have mentioned it,” Li Ming said calmly.

Azure Dragon’s words remained trustworthy; Anduin nodded vigorously and couldn’t help but feel some excitement rise.

The intimidation of the Three Civilizations is a double-edged sword; if it fails, it slaps them in the face.

And if they lose the seats they occupy, from controllers turning into “audiences,” their influence would be further diminished.

The virtual screen dimmed, and Li Ming silently grinned, “Plans can’t keep up with changes; interstellar broadcast… I wonder whose bright idea it was, but it’s certainly done me a big favor.”

He got up and headed to the casting room, preparing to craft some Controlled Objects with covert suppression effects.
