Chapter 1080: Chapter 555: An Unbelievable Theory

Seeing that Li Ming wasn’t wearing his Mecha, Robbin’s tense expression relaxed a bit.

He knew this was the exclusive virtual meeting hall for the High-level Life Form Union.

Under normal circumstances, the participant should have been Lord Azure Dragon, not Li Ming.

Although the matter at hand was somewhat urgent, facing the giant Azure Dragon made him feel uneasy.

“What’s going on?” Li Ming asked, noticing Robbin’s anxious look.

As soon as the words fell, Robbin had already crossed over in two quick steps, about to speak but hesitated.

After a moment’s hesitation, he gritted his teeth and said, “I have a friend who’s in trouble, I want to help him…”

Li Ming’s expression changed slightly, immediately suspecting if there was a trap involved.

Heckler, the prince eyeing the chosen ones, had been silent for over half a year since his last action, seemingly about time to make a move.

“Which friend, is there a problem?” Li Ming asked.

“A guy named Zorro, we used to hang out for a while, considered life-and-death friends. I’ve saved him, and he’s saved me,” Robbin explained:

“About a month and a half ago, he asked me for help, but at first, I didn’t pay attention.”

“A month and a half ago?” Li Ming questioned, “Aren’t you… life-and-death friends?”

Mentioning this, Robbin looked awkward, “He’s a bit unreliable, and after joining you, he often asked me for cooperation, but I turned him down.”

“That idiot thought I was kidnapped, when he first asked for help, I thought he was joking.”

Li Ming’s expression grew increasingly bewildered, observing Robbin with a peculiar gaze over this “complicated emotion.”

Robbin, anxious inside, didn’t notice and continued: “After the first time, he asked for help again after half a month, saying he had offended the Empire, and I even more thought he was joking.”

“This guy, with such a sharp eye, couldn’t possibly offend the Empire.”

“Until just now, he asked for help a third time, along with a video.”

Robbin drew closer, pulled out an intelligent terminal, and played a video. The footage shook, and the sound was noisy and chaotic, with a seemingly clandestine perspective.

Most of the video showed silver metal bars, as if the shooter was in prison.

Occasionally, soldiers walked by, wearing heavy black combat armor with clear imperial insignias.

This was the first half of the video, while the second half showed a disheveled, haggard figure furiously cursing Robbin, with the scene constantly shaking and an eerie background, the sky a phosphorescent blue.

“…Robbin, I C****, you damn… I ****…”

Robbin said helplessly, “Only then did I realize he was really captured by the Empire…”

Li Ming asked Vermilion Bird to analyze it, confirming it wasn’t a synthetic video. He pondered, then asked:

“…This is the Empire’s ‘Wandering Legion,’ mainly operating in the Dimension World. Your friend is in the Dimension World?”

Robbin nodded, “Yes, it seems some strange anomaly occurred in the Dimension World recently, causing some life forms to die inexplicably, so many people tried their luck there.”

“He even sent me an invitation, but I refused him.”

Anomaly?

Li Ming asked Vermilion Bird to check, finding that this indeed happened.

The anomaly in the Shallow Dimension World had occurred for a while, attracting Scavengers, even allowing some to stumble upon dead A Level and even S Level Dimensional Creatures, earning tremendous wealth.

The specific cause remained unknown.

On the surface, nothing seemed amiss, Li Ming pondered, “According to you, he seems to have escaped from the Empire’s grasp at least three times?”

“This…” Robbin hesitated, “I’m also puzzled, he’s only a B Level life form, under normal circumstances, he couldn’t possibly escape the Empire’s grasp.”

“Let alone escape three times consecutively.”

“The information he sent was chaotic,” Robbin said, flipping through records, some with special encrypted codes only he could decipher.

Many distrustful individuals use encryption to transmit information via the Black Hole Network.

Robbin narrated: “…He discovered a Black Gold Liquid oil field in some part of the Dimension World, but something bizarre happened, a blue light orb entered his body, then he was captured by the Empire…”

“As for how he escaped, he suspects he awakened some superpower, always finding the perfect opportunity to evade all guards and surveillance, as if he’d rehearsed it countless times…”

“However, alone, he couldn’t travel far in dimensions.”

“Blue light orb? Perfect opportunity?” Li Ming sensed something strange.

Such an odd plot indeed didn’t seem like something Heckler could concoct.

Nevertheless, after some thought, he advised, “Regardless, you better not go yourself.”

Robbin’s face showed urgency, biting back words, but he heard Li Ming say: “There should be an exploration team in the Dimension World, let’s have them go…”

Hearing this, Robbin finally exhaled in relief.

Among them, true friends were few, losing one would be irreplaceable.

Li Ming paused, then recalled, “By the way, the coordinates are a hassle, where was he captured?”

Robbin’s face turned odd again, scratching his head, “There’s another particularly absurd thing…”
