Chapter 58: Storm

Chapter 58: Storm

All around the world, the devastating scene of the Lunaris noble losing his cool was broadcast.

Although the video quality began to blur because of the overwhelming power, viewers could still clearly see the chaos unfolding.

Panic rose.

Their cheers turned to panic, and their panic gradually turned to fear.

. . .

Inside the now familiar login room, Stormis stood up from the ground and clenched his fist with anger as he turned to his father, who wore a stern frown at that moment.

"Those Lunaris are cheating... they’re going to hurt him," he said, his voice half worried and half angry.

"Calm down, honey." His mother quickly rose and held her son, knowing what would happen if he got too worked up. She hugged him and patted his head. "They will be taken care of."

"But mom, that is evil," Stormis muttered, trying to break free from the embrace.

Seeing his reaction, the woman turned to her husband with a solemn expression, as if urging him to do something about it.

The silver-haired man let out a gentle sigh. He stood up and strolled toward them. He placed his hand on the boy’s head. A gentle white glow appeared and, soon, the little boy fell asleep in his mother’s arms.

After he was done, he turned to his wife and nodded. "I’ll be back very soon."

A relieved smile washed over her face as she lifted their sleeping son. "Do not spend too much time there. He will be worked up if he wakes and doesn’t see his father," she said.

He nodded and, without uttering another word, walked toward the door of his room.

A strong gust of wind enveloped the once peaceful living room as the silver-haired man began to transform — his body and face changing into a new being, a being the world currently prayed for — and then he vanished.

The woman stared at the spot he had disappeared from for a few seconds before taking her son into the living room.

She was no longer troubled.

With her husband active again, she knew the chaos would soon end.

She only prayed he would get there before the Lunaris began to wreck havoc as she did not want a repeat of the first visit twenty years ago.

"You despicable humans... How dare you!"

The terrifyingly cold voice of the enraged noble echoed across the arena as his overwhelming presence submerged the place in mayhem.

He floated up from where he had been seated, sending his energy flaring across.

The tough structure of the VIP area crumbled and debris crashed to the ground with loud thuds, spreading dust and noise everywhere.

The noble drifted toward the location where Marlon could be seen kneeling while attempting to fight the gravity pushing him down.

The noble’s thick killing intent struck Marlon at once, causing him to cough out blood from the force. Not only that, his eyes, nose and even his ears began to bleed profusely, causing him intense pain.

"ENOUGH!"

But just before the noble could close the distance and carry out the malicious act he had planned, another voice thundered.

The noble turned in the direction of the voice with an ugly scowl.

Norian, wrapped in blood-red mist, drifted through the air. His eyes were blood red and glowing, and his hair fluttered in the air like flames.

He glared at the Lunaris noble and gradually closed the distance between them without breaking focus for a single second.

"You... you are the cause of all this. You purposely placed an anomaly in the contest to humiliate us," the noble claimed.

"But you have made a grave mistake. The Lunaris are proud; we punish all forms of disrespect. For your act, not only will we kill that insolent, talkative brat, everyone present in this place will die!"

The high-ranking hunters in the VIP area felt as though they had been struck by a sonic attack when the noble’s terrifying voice faded. Some of them even began to bleed, including Crimson.

The power of the Lunaris noble was stronger than that of the high-ranking hunters present.

Even the ancient, xiaxia-looking couple, the Whitlocks, were struggling to maintain their footing under the immense pressure, and as Marlon’s parents, they experienced bleeding from their ears.

Gigaman was no longer floating in his usual position; he was now on the ground, kneeling beside Marlon, struggling to maintain his sanity.

Unlike the humans, the Lunaris present were unscathed. The generals stood gallantly, ready to move if ordered. The soldiers remained on their feet, watching their leader’s authority and power. The other two nobles savoured the chaos with grins.

This alone showed how powerful and skilled the enraged noble was.

Releasing one’s aura to pressure so many people into submission was a feat only a handful of humans could manage. But deciding who is affected and who is not was another level entirely.

Norian scanned the scene briefly and took in these details.

He noted the strength of the noble in front of him.

’I could hold the ground against him for some time while the others clear the scene,’ he thought, but fighting all three is beyond my power. Still, his face wore the same cold expression.

After keeping the Lunaris noble silent for a long moment, he finally spoke. "What honor is it for someone as strong as you to harbour such hatred and killing intent toward a child?..."

"If you’re itching for a fight, then I shall be your opponent."

The enraged noble listened and then scoffed.

"Honor does not apply when it comes to humans. But since you offered yourself to be the first to feel my wrath, then I’ll gratefully accept. Once I’m done killing you in the presence of everyone who places their hope in you, the rest will follow immediately."

Norian did not respond as he mentally braced himself for the battle that is about to begin, one that would decide the survival of everyone present... including the rising star..

He observed Marlon for a split second before refocusing on his opponent.

’I can’t let anything happen to him.’
