It might not seem like much, but Edrick had just earned himself the right to enter the lord’s mansion. This allowed him to interact and ‘prepare’ the three women who were the subject of his trio of quests.

For the missions to be properly completed, he needed to enter in a manner that would qualify as ‘sneaking’. However, that was not too complicated, as long as his targets were properly marinated, he could use their assistance to slip inside, like through a window, or perhaps even by arranging a meeting in the ample backyard…
Jania and Tylia were young women with no experience of anything related to romance or men, being sheltered noble girls whom he, also a noble, could easily sway into his arms. The eldest, in particular, should be especially easy to seduce. The younger one might be a bit more difficult, though only marginally.
Evidently, the real challenge here was their mother, Milerva Oie. That woman was older and more experienced, and unfortunately, her husband wasn’t a slouch or a chump. Galdon Oie was competent, good-looking, and masculine, so unless the marital activities had slowed down, it did not seem likely that she was in any way frustrated... Which, in Edrick’s experience, was usually the most direct and simplest manner to get a married woman to fall onto your lap.
He had not been able to decipher anything about her throughout the dinner and subsequent happenings, far too skilled in maintaining the image of a proper noble- Clearly, Anoteros would have to spend some time observing and approaching her. He could do so when visiting under the pretence of conversing with Jania.
‘Mmh… If I deflower either of her daughters, and she learns of it before I can bed her, that would probably reduce my chances to zero… Furthermore, I can’t go about it like I would with a random bandit in the woods or a vagrant. Her status is too high, and she probably knows the spell cultivation technique too…’
As he walked through the city with both hands held behind his back, Edrick wore a thoughtful expression.
A small smile plastered upon his face, his mouth barely curled upward.
This seemed like a real challenge for once. The duel with Xiao had been pretty good, but here, the stakes seemed even higher. The risks that he was taking, and the potential consequences, even if he succeeded, were severe.
The rewards for the completion of these three missions would surely be of great value. Honestly, even if there was no reward, the mere trepidation of the acts would be enough to convince him to go ahead and give his best trying.
‘All of this reminds me of when I escaped from the authorities that time…’ thinking back to his previous life, toward the end of his grand career as the most prolific and greatest serial killer to ever walk the earth, he had actually allowed himself to be caught several times. On one occasion, as he was about to be presented to a judge before the trial, he leapt through a window and took off running into the street in broad daylight.
The window had been closed, and he had been on the second story as well, but he had landed without problem. The guards were too slow to react, so he had disappeared from view and done some more killing before once again letting himself be caught.
And then, he had escaped again, this time in a more refined manner. The fools didn’t realise that he was gone until morning had come. Between that escape and his recapture, he made sure to learn who the judge was going to be if he were to be caught, and seduced said judge’s granddaughter.
He had gotten caught again, but this time, had made a grand exit in the middle of the trial. It was highly mediatised, the clamour and tension in the air had rendered this place easily escapable. So he had casually jumped over what they had thought would be too high for a person to leap over. They had put him in some sort of box, but they had forgotten that the guard that stood by his side could be used as a literal stepping device to make the jump.
Killing his way to the outside, he had once again disappeared for several months... All of this for what? Just to reveal to the judge, toward the very end, that his pregnant granddaughter was carrying the child of the one called the worst of the worst, allow him to realise that she knew exactly who he was, and yet, had still fallen in love.
It had all been for the love of the game.
Towards the end, it was all that was left to Edrick Lucien Anoteros, having fun by cooking up terrible situations for himself. He had since long passed the threshold where lying low and sheer efficiency were no longer amusing or challenging enough.
He might have come to a new world where things were vastly different, but his love for danger remained.
‘Makes me wonder what happened to Old Chris now.... Did he have a heart attack after I revealed the truth about his granddaughter? Heh…’
Reminiscing about the past and wondering how he would deal with Milerva Oie, the noble scion soon reached his residence. On arrival, he was treated to a nice sight.
In front of his residence, pacing before the front door, was Yin--Clearly anxious and ashamed.
It did not take too long for the tomboy to appear. Clearly, their last encounter had left quite the impression.
Of course, as sturdy as her defences may be, Yin could not resist Edrick’s advances. Once their bodies intertwined, she discovered a sensation that was both novel and addicting. After experiencing that, it only made sense that she would be unable to resist the temptation.
With casual steps, he sneaked behind the distracted inner disciple.
“Yin, can I help you?”
“Oh-! Edrick… I didn’t notice you here, I thought you were inside… Can I come in?” even flustered, she was able to maintain some composure.
“Of course… But may I know the reason for your visit?” he already knew why, but making Yin squirm a little was a delight.
“I…” she closed her eyes for a moment “...Am here to try it out… Try out your offer”
“Really, now? Then come in! I’ll introduce you to how it goes inside my residence... You’re going to love it”
