Chapter 59: Chapter 59: I’ve beaten a Tattalia too!
Seeing Victor so anxious, the old man sighed and shook his head. "Barzini has gone missing with supplies worth seven trillion Federation credits."
Hearing that Barzini—and all the goods meant for him—had vanished, Victor’s hair bristled like a lion’s mane.
He completely lost it. With a thunderous bang, his body swelled several times over, and he smashed the palace floor with a single punch.
"Damn it! That bastard Barzini!"
"Does he even know what he’s doing?"
"When I get out of the Genius Training Camp, I’ll tear him to pieces with my own hands!"
With every line he yelled, Victor threw another furious strike.
Every strike left a vivid golden afterimage—that was the Golden Behemoth, the A-level familiar Victor had gotten not long ago.
The old man watched the behemoth’s phantom grow clearer and showed a hint of approval in his eyes.
"Good. That strike already has the presence of a Master-rank familiar tamer. You truly are the hope of the Tattalia family." Stroking his beard, he didn’t seem worried about Victor’s rage at all.
Only after Victor finished venting and completely leveled the palace did the old man walk up to him.
"Take this. The family punished all the Master-rank leaders and forcibly docked their resources for a year." He took out a space ring and placed it in Victor’s palm.
Victor took the ring and checked the contents right away.
Soon, his eyes lit up and his face relaxed.
He did a quick count on his fingers, then looked up. "These Master-rank monster materials must be worth one trillion, right?"
The old man chuckled and shook his head. "Seven hundred billion. That’s already emptying the Master-rank leaders’ coffers—the most we could scrape together on short notice."
When Victor learned the value of the supplies in the space ring, he slammed his fist into the ground again. "Damn it, it was supposed to be seven trillion!"
But soon he calmed down.
Even seven hundred billion—so what?
With these resources, he could still take first place on the points board and pull far ahead of Yelena and Sawako.
With their family backgrounds, there’s no way they can match his money.
Thinking that, Victor felt better. "I’m going to the valley to redeem points now!"
The old man knew Victor couldn’t wait, so he didn’t stop him.
There happened to be a better camp in the valley he could redeem.
He reminded Victor to pick a camp fit for a Master-rank familiar tamer, then let him leave on his own.
On the way, Victor shot forward like a bolt, using almost his top speed.
He’d felt suffocated these days, being chased by Yelena and Sawako on the points board.
"Just wait. In an hour at most, my points will crush yours!" As he thought that, a pair of dragon wings spread from his back and he sped toward the valley.
Meanwhile, in the valley, Logan sat with Yelena and Sawako in Sophia’s office, relaxed. ,"Instructor, are you done?" Logan asked, sipping coffee while Sophia kept tapping on a calculator.
After about fifteen minutes, Sophia slapped the desk, let out a long breath, and swore. "I’m exhausted! How did you even do this?"
Then she shot Logan a glare, her face going back to its usual cheeky look. "Talk to me alone?"
Logan knew the points he’d get from those supplies would be insane, so he followed Sophia into a secret room.
In the dim room, Sophia struck a match and lit a cigarette.
She sat on the sofa, crossed her legs, and slowly blew a smoke ring. "Did you rob the Tattalia family’s supplies?"
Facing Sophia’s blunt question, Logan wasn’t surprised at all. "Instructor, are you planning to use me to score points with the Tattalia family?"
Sophia chuckled. "You’re a funny kid. Do you think a half-step Saint needs to care about the Tattalia family?"
Then she released a terrifying pressure that wrapped around Logan.
Hit by the sudden soul pressure, Logan’s face went pale and he staggered.
But he quickly steadied himself and didn’t embarrass himself in front of Sophia.
Seeing Logan withstand her test, Sophia looked shocked. "Damn, your soul strength is actually a bit stronger than a Master 5-star familiar tamer."
She soon accepted it and withdrew the pressure from him.
After testing him, Sophia had figured out the whole story, and she genuinely admired Logan now. "Looks like you robbed the Tattalia family with your own strength. Logan, you’re impressive! You’re one of only two geniuses I’ve ever seen with [supernova] potential."
Hearing only two, Logan grew curious. "Who’s the other one?"
Sophia looked at his blank face and laughed. "You really don’t know?"
s eyes flashed with a sly look. "Seems someone doesn’t want you to know too much. Next time you see Natalia, ask her."
At the mention of Natalia, more questions popped up in Logan’s mind.
Sophia didn’t seem eager to offend anyone and didn’t want to answer him directly.
She casually picked up her phone, called General Philip right in front of Logan, and said, "The Tattalia family got robbed. Logan did it."
There was a sudden silence on the other end.
Then General Philip’s familiar voice came on. "What Logan? Which Logan? Sophia, what are you talking about? I don’t understand!"
Sophia hadn’t expected him to take Logan’s side without even checking with her first.
To cover for Logan, the old general was actually playing dumb. Unreal.
But soon, Sophia understood why.
Logan’s credentials to explore the major Blood Cultivation Realms came from General Philip. The old man must have known about Logan’s strength already.
He had probably been watching Logan’s every move outside the camp these days.
Realizing this, Sophia rolled her eyes and said, "Drop the act. Logan’s right here. I’m on your side—I won’t harm him."
Hearing that Sophia didn’t plan to blame Logan, General Philip finally relaxed on the other end.
Still, to make sure Sophia would take Logan seriously, the old general spoke sternly and reminded her, "Logan has [supernova potential. You should understand why I’m doing this."
Hearing [supernova], Sophia’s eyes grew distant and she sighed. "I get it. You old guys want to retire and pass the burden to the young."
General Philip exploded. "If you kids hadn’t caused trouble back then, I would’ve retired already. You owe the Human Federation a [supernova], got it?"
Then his voice softened again. "The Tattalia family’s descendants have rotted. They’ve lost their past glory and their respect for their ancestors’ honor. Logan gave them a lesson this time, and I don’t see a problem with that. Besides, I call the shots on resource distribution around Saint Heart City. If the Tattalia family reaches into my territory, they should be ready for the consequences."
With General Philip’s stance clear, Sophia relaxed.
In the end, they reached an agreement about Logan robbing the Tattalia family.
The Tattalia family had been harming free familiar tamers around Saint Heart City, badly affecting the suppression work in the nearby Blood Cultivation Realms.
Thanks to reports from concerned citizens, the military was able to arrest those involved in time and stop things from getting out of control.
The supplies from the Blood Cultivation Realms that Tattalia’s people had seized were confiscated by the military.
Barzini, Stryker, and others will face a military court, with General Philip presiding.
Of course, General Philip didn’t make Logan hand over everything. As long as Logan doesn’t foolishly exchange all seven trillion worth of supplies for points, he can handle the rest as he likes.
Only then did Sophia learn that Logan had taken a full seven trillion in supplies. She looked at him, her eyes practically flashing green. "You took seven trillion, and you only gave me eight hundred billion just now?"
Seeing Sophia’s sour look, Logan smiled and said, "I was afraid you’d rob me."
Sophia rolled her eyes and handed him the phone. "General Philip wants to talk to you."
Logan took the call, feeling truly grateful to the old soldier.
After coming to this world, Logan dared to go after the Tattalia family simply because he followed his heart.
When he saw injustice, someone had to fight it.
If someone wronged him, he would strike back.
He wanted to be the one who stood in front of others, to live boldly—righting wrongs and settling scores.
After a long silence, Logan spoke slowly. "General, it’s me."
On the other end, General Philip’s voice was deep and steady. "I know. I know everything you did. Let me tell you a secret: back when old Tattalia bullied civilians, I put a bag over his head and gave him a good beating. Thinking about it still feels great!"
He burst into hearty laughter. "Kid, getting into trouble for justice when you see something unfair is normal. Don’t worry about it. Back then, when I caused trouble, the Speaker cleaned up my mess. Now that you’ve stirred things up, of course I’ll have your back. Because you carry the justice I believe in!"
