Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Kneel Down and Apologize in Public!
Lucia smiled and pointed to the middle screen in the third row. "Play back that monitor from five minutes ago. You’ll understand."
Sophia frowned and pulled up the feed Lucia mentioned.
Soon, the screen showed Logan picking up his phone and creating a group chat.
Seeing this, Sophia was stunned. "Damn, this kid really knows how to cause me trouble."
She turned to leave, but Lucia reached out to stop her. "What are you going to do?"
Sophia pushed her hand away and said angrily, "Group chats within a squad are teamwork. But making one for everyone is cheating. I’m going to tear down all the network base stations."
With that, wings spread from Sophia’s back and she lifted off, ready to fly away.
But Lucia moved first and pulled Sophia back down.
"What are you doing!" Sophia scowled and glared at Lucia. "I need to fix this mistake right now. That’s the fair thing to do."
"Don’t change the rules once they’re set," Lucia said, pointing at the screens. "More than fairness, I want to see how many amazing things this kid can still do."
Sophia sighed, flopped back onto the beach chair, and took another sip of soda. "Do whatever you want. You’re the chief instructor for the second round anyway."
Lucia just smiled without replying. She quietly lit a fire and started grilling the crab.
Because Logan made a big group, hundreds of Genius Training Camp members joined the intel sharing.
This sped up many people’s exploration and helped them avoid a lot of useless detours.
Not only that, some dangerous areas were warned about ahead of time, so most members avoided them early.
Even the teams that were cutting trees to build boats and moving slowly stayed on the right route thanks to early intel, so they didn’t get left behind by the main group.
Compared to the others, Logan’s team got almost no help.
They were always at the front, so the info others shared wasn’t useful to them
But Logan kept sharing new findings anyway, which Sawako and Yelena couldn’t understand.
Not until they found the island with the arena did Logan smile and explain, "Here’s our chance to make money."
Then he picked up his phone, got Victor’s contact from Barzini, and sent Victor a friend request right away.
Victor accepted quickly and sent a confused emoji, adding, "Do you need something?"
Logan ignored the question and sent a photo of the arena and a screenshot of the big chat with hundreds of people.
Soon Victor replied: "What do you mean?"
Seeing Victor take the bait, Logan grinned and wrote, "Right now, only I know the exact location of the arena. What do you think will happen if I post the coordinates in the group?"
As soon as he sent that, Victor shot back with an angry emoji: "Don’t you dare!"
Clearly, Victor got the hint.
If Logan made the coordinates public, the hundreds in the group would find the right route and rush to the arena at full speed.
Then Victor, still wandering around like a headless fly, would fall behind.
Worse, if more than 256 people reached the arena, the Genius Training Camp internal battle would start right away.
That would mean Victor’s whole team would be out and lose their spot in the battle.
Victor couldn’t accept that. Before Logan said anything more, he replied, "Name your price. Sell me the coordinates. I’ll pay to buy this info outright."
Logan saw the message but didn’t reply right away. He smiled and handed his phone to Yelena and Sawako.
When the two girls realized Logan was planning to extort Victor, their eyes went wide.
Sawako lightly punched Logan in the chest. "Logan, you’re so bad. You actually want to extort the future head of the Tattalia family!"
Yelena stood to the side with a smile too. "So helping the other members was just a smokescreen, and your real goal is to get something out of Victor?"
Logan was about to explain, but Victor’s messages started popping up like crazy.
Clearly, Victor couldn’t hold it in anymore after seeing no reply.
Victor: "Logan, if you make the coordinates public, you’ll get nothing and only bring the Tattalia family’s anger. Name a price. We can settle this with money."
Victor: "Are you still thinking? If you have other terms, say them. We can take our time and talk."
Victor: "What does not replying mean? Logan, calm down. Don’t do something stupid and make it impossible to fix!"
Victor: "Logan? Are you there?"
Victor: "You didn’t already post the coordinates, did you?"
Victor: "Answer me, Logan!"
Victor: "Logan?"
Logan knew Victor was on the edge of a breakdown. He smiled, opened the chat, and replied, "I can keep the coordinates private, but you have to agree to one condition."
The moment Logan sent the message, Victor shot back: "No problem. Name your terms."
Seeing that, Logan smiled. "It’s simple. I want you and your teammates to record a video where you kneel and apologize to the training camp members you injured."
After he sent that, the chat went silent.
About a minute later, Victor replied, "I can apologize, but I never kneel. My dignity is priceless."
Hearing that, Logan locked his phone and let out a cold laugh. "So your dignity matters, but theirs doesn’t? If you won’t kneel, I’ll beat you until you do."
Then he opened the chat again and typed, "Looks like your dignity is expensive. How much are you willing to pay to keep it?"
This time, Victor answered fast: "100 billion federal credits, and one favor—one time you can ask the Tattalia family to support you unconditionally."
Logan wasn’t pleased. He replied, "Forget it. You’re too stingy. I’d rather see you eliminated than take 100 billion and an empty promise."
With that, he deleted Victor from his contacts and blocked him.
Yelena and Sawako were stunned.
At the same time, on an island hundreds of miles away, Victor was stunned too.
He didn’t expect Logan to just walk away.
Then what was that chat for? Was Logan just toying with him?
Victor gripped his phone tight, fighting the urge to crush it.
Blair got anxious. "Victor, don’t fall for that kid’s trap! We can just find any team out there, grab their phone, and still get the arena coordinates!"
Klein patted Victor on the shoulder and added: "Blair’s right. Logan is clearly trying to provoke you, to mess with your head so you can’t focus on the arena."
Hearing them, Victor let out a long breath, his eyes turning red. "Logan! Just you wait!"
While Victor was rushing to track down other teams, Logan had already sent out the arena coordinates.
Then Logan took Yelena and Sawako and landed on the island with the arena.
Not long after, the nearest team—Gwen’s team—arrived second and stepped onto the platform.
As more teams gathered on the arena, the spectator area around it grew lively.
Garen, the City Lord of Saint Heart City, nodded with satisfaction. "This year’s Genius Training Camp members are pretty good. In past years, we had to wait a day or two just for them to find the arena."
General Philip looked at Logan standing in the center, delighted. He turned to Sorenso and mocked, "Who was just boasting to me that Victor had [supernova] potential? By the way, why don’t I see Victor anywhere?"
Hearing Philip’s sarcasm, Sorenso’s beard practically stood on end. "Hmph, what’s the rush? Finding the arena takes luck. Arriving early or late proves nothing!"
Seeing Sorenso and General Philip about to start a fight, the City Lord quickly changed the subject, worried the two old men might come to blows.
However, more and more people were on the arena, and Victor still didn’t show up.
When the platform had over a hundred people on it, Sorenso finally started to get nervous.
Philip noticed the sweat on Sorenso’s forehead and smugly handed him a handkerchief. "Wipe it off. Don’t be nervous."
"Get lost!" Sorenso snapped, furious at General Philip’s grin.
Standing on the arena, Logan felt the time was right. He took Victor off his block list and added him back.
First, Logan took a photo of the arena packed with over a hundred people and sent it to Victor, along with a hand-over-mouth laugh emoji.
Victor replied quickly with an angry emoji, then another message: "Say it. What’s the condition?"
Logan went straight to the point: "Record a video. Kneel and apologize."
The chat went quiet again.
About a minute later, Victor’s message popped up: "I’ll kneel."
