Chapter 49: Chapter 49: Special Privileges
"This..." Levan’s voice weakened, "Mentor, this space bracelet with ten cubic meters is worth two million contribution points. It wouldn’t be right to just take it for free, would it?"
He thought Lor was about to reprimand him again, making him quite nervous.
But if he didn’t share some benefits, he felt embarrassed to take this space bracelet.
"It’s indeed not good to take it for free." Lor nodded, smiling, "It’s good that you realized this, keep it up in the future."
"Ah?" Levan was momentarily puzzled but quickly reacted and hastily responded, "Yes, Mentor."
"Hmm, that’s it then. I need to go back and rest."
Lor waved his hand, bid farewell to Levan, and returned directly to the grand hall where he lived, setting up an Adaptive Rock Barrier Magic Array, and then lay down on the bed and swiftly fell into a deep sleep.
...
Three days later.
"Boom—"
The darkened sky of the Dark Divine Kingdom, seemingly eternal, suddenly cracked open with a massive gap, and a dozen majestic figures peered inward from the opening.
"Half are dead, but those still alive have changed quite a bit." A figure wrapped in sharp Gold Element smiled and said.
"I see that after these apprentices come out, at least 5% can break through to the First Ring, more than doubling from before, which isn’t bad. We can continue hosting it in the future." A figure, as if residing in endless darkness, nodded.
"It’s indeed quite cost-effective, but the Divine Kingdom can’t sustain it." A figure, exuding vibrant life, with peerless beauty, said.
"Alright, take your apprentices back with you."
Dressed in a red Wizard Robe, resembling an ordinary old man, Yasen smiled, "Finish the main business first, then we can chat slowly."
"Yes, Speaker Yasen."
The dozen majestic figures each bowed to Yasen, standing before them, and then each unleashed Elemental Power, retrieving the apprentices from their respective Wizard Towers.
It didn’t take long for everyone to have retrieved almost enough.
Only Wizard Nelson hesitated as he looked at Lor and Levan in the central camp of the hilly area.
Previously, Yasen had asked him for Lor’s information, and now this person, having retrieved the other Fire Element apprentices, had left Lor and Levan behind. What does this mean?
"Nelson, take my grandson back to your Wizard Tower too." Yasen laughed, "Now Lor is his mentor, let him follow his mentor and study for a while."
With that, Yasen raised his hand and tossed a white bracelet, carrying a spark of starlight, which instantly flew into Levan’s hand below.
"Yes, Speaker Yasen." Nelson nodded and waved at Lor and Levan, enveloping them both in dense Earth Element.
...
"Tsk, such a big change?" Lor looked at the much-expanded Earth Elemental Wall with some emotion.
When he came, the Elemental Wall enveloping him was just a sphere with a diameter of 1.5 meters, extremely narrow, making it difficult for him to stand upright.
But now it was different; the Elemental Wall had become a spherical space with a diameter of about ten meters.
No need to talk about standing upright; running two laps wouldn’t be a problem.
The reason for this change was something he understood well.
"Speaker Yasen’s influence is really strong." Lor’s lips curled slightly, "Just for accepting a disciple, even a Fourth Ring Mage has to give me some special treatment."
Although he received some special treatment, Lor did not let it go to his head.
After all, he was merely relying on someone else’s influence; he could use it, but over-reliance was absolutely not an option!
Only when he became a Fourth Ring Spatial Mage could he truly rely on himself.
...
"Crack—"
Time passed unnoticed, and the Elemental Wall surrounding Lor suddenly cracked open.
A tall figure, over two meters tall and surrounded by dense Earth Elemental Energy, appeared in his vision.
As for his peripheral vision, he glimpsed Levan standing by the side.
"Greetings, Master Nelson."
"Greetings, Legislator Nelson."
Lor and Levan quickly saluted Nelson, who stood before them.
"Hmm."
Nelson nodded, glancing at the ring on Lor’s right hand and the two bracelets on Levan’s, smiling, "I really didn’t expect such a talent to emerge from my Wizard Tower."
He had previously asked other apprentices about what happened in the Divine Kingdom, knowing that Lor obtained his ring on his own, without borrowing any influence from Levan.
Being able to intimidate thousands of apprentices alone and forcibly seize space equipment, Lor could be said to be the most outstanding apprentice in this trial competition.
"Master, you’re too kind." Lor humbly said.
"No need to be humble." Nelson waved his hand, "Tell me what you want. You performed so outstandingly in this trial, bringing me great honor. If I don’t reward you with something, those guys might laugh at how stingy I am."
Hearing this, Lor’s eyes instantly lit up, and he immediately made a request: "Master, after I become a First Ring Mage, I want to visit other continents. I hope you can allow it."
If it were before, he wouldn’t need to report to Nelson about wanting to go to other continents, at most dealing with his mentor and another Second Ring Mage from the Earth and Fire Faction.
But now it’s different.
He had performed so outstandingly in the Divine Kingdom trial that without a suitable reason, it’s estimated that this person would not easily let him go.
Although with Levan in front as a cover, he could leave if he really wanted to.
But it’s best not to offend a Fourth Ring Mage if possible, even if this one only had nine years of lifespan left.
"Traveling to other continents?" Nelson slightly frowned, "You want to visit the Milton Continent? Isn’t it a bit early now?"
The Milton Continent is the birthplace of wizards, extremely prosperous.
There are even seven Fifth Ring Mages, and as for the Fourth Ring, there are nearly a hundred.
Lor, being an apprentice with a laboratory, had a desire to see the situation on the Milton Continent, which Nelson could understand.
But no matter how urgent it was, it should wait until after the Third Ring; the First Ring was too early.
"No, Master, I want to go to the Betula Continent." Lor shook his head and said.
In fact, the Milton Continent is equally unsafe; there are many high-ring mages and many Faith Wizards among them.
Although they were eventually suppressed, more than one or two wizard towers vanished; the war nearly affected half the continent.
And that wasn’t all, for just after suppressing the Faith Wizard rebellion, the place became a major target for Abyss Lords.
The wars were unending, and extremely high-level.
Even a slight carelessness could lead to a Great Wizard of the Third Ring being caught in the aftermath of high-level battles and perishing.
In contrast, the Betula Continent was different, with only one Fourth Ring Faith Wizard, making it one of the better-off continents among the twelve.
Although many Abyss Lords came to this side, the wizards still maintained an advantage.
More importantly, in the previous life, the beta testing players’ arrival point was on the Betula Continent.
Regardless of whether the players could arrive this life or not, it was better to go to the place and wait.
"What are you going there for?" Nelson looked at Lor with a bewildered expression.
He could understand if Lor wanted to go to the Milton Continent, but heading to the Betula Continent made no sense to him.
The situation there was only slightly better than that of the Murphy Continent, with a few more Fourth Ring Mages, while the Fifth Ring remained at merely one.
To him, going there seemed utterly pointless.
