Chapter 326: Chapter 326: Let’s See Who Can Save You Today
Julia Sinclair’s heart trembled violently, she shouted sharply.
"If you dare to scream again, your brother’s hand will be crippled, believe it or not?" Howard Yeats said coldly.
Julia’s eyes were filled with tears; she didn’t dare to scream anymore.
Ivy Linden took a sharp breath when she saw how vicious Howard Yeats was. She whispered to persuade him, "Yeats... Please don’t harm innocent people."
She couldn’t say Howard Yeats’ name out loud.
Howard Yeats smirked evilly, "Julia is his sister; he’s not innocent."
Ivy was taken aback. The mistakes made by a sister shouldn’t be blamed on the brother, and Howard Yeats was being unreasonable. However, seeing Kyle Sinclair’s face resembling Julia’s, with a hidden hatred in his eyes, Ivy suddenly couldn’t muster sympathy for him.
"I don’t know what I’ve done to offend you. You can do whatever you want to me, but I beg you to spare my brother. He’s been weak since childhood and can’t endure any more suffering."
Julia lifted the hospital bed covers and knelt at Howard Yeats’ feet in supplication.
"Sister, don’t beg him."
Kyle Sinclair’s eyes reddened when he saw Julia kneeling. He hated his frail body for not being able to help his sister but instead becoming a burden.
"Tsk tsk."
Howard Yeats had not an ounce of sympathy for Julia.
"You’re kneeling to the wrong person."
Howard Yeats glanced at Ivy, indicating that Julia should beg Ivy.
Julia, being smart, turned and knelt beside Ivy, wrapping her arms around her legs, feeling deeply humiliated and hateful, but on the surface, she had to plead with Ivy.
"Ma’am, I’m begging you, please spare my brother. You can do whatever you want to me in this ward."
"Let go of me."
Ivy was very repulsed by Julia holding her legs, as if she were deliberately putting on a tragic display for her and Howard Yeats.
If Howard Yeats hadn’t told Ivy about Julia’s maliciousness, she might have been deceived by Julia’s false facade.
But unfortunately, there’s no ’if’.
Ivy despised people like Julia, who schemed behind others’ backs to harm them.
Especially Julia’s actions against her cherished idol goddess.
"I’m begging you, ma’am... as long as you agree, I’ll let go..."
Julia’s fingers tightened.
Ivy sensed something was amiss.
Suddenly.
A dark shadow flashed in Julia’s eyes as she forcefully pulled Ivy to the ground.
Bang!
Ivy hit the ground heavily.
"Ivy."
Howard Yeats quickly released Kyle to rescue Ivy, but was a step too late.
It felt like something had slammed hard into Howard Yeats’ heart, causing a dull ache. He carefully helped up Ivy, who was groaning in pain on the ground, and saw Julia pulling Kyle, trying to leave the ward.
Howard Yeats’ gaze turned fierce, like a beast.
"Ah~ Kyle, run!"
Julia pushed Kyle abruptly, her hair caught by Howard Yeats, and was flung harshly to the ground. Julia was in such pain it felt like all her bones were breaking, tears streaming down incessantly.
"Sister, I’m not leaving." Kyle yelled, seeing his sister, whom he had depended on, in such a miserable state. He was in great agony, looking at Howard Yeats with hatred, "I’ll fight you."
Kyle swung his fist at Howard Yeats.
"Kyle, don’t."
Julia screamed, her heart almost jumping out of her chest.
How could Kyle be a match for Howard Yeats? He punched at Howard Yeats but ended up receiving a heavy blow himself, falling straight to the ground, blood streaming from his nose.
Ivy, seeing this, felt a bit scared.
Howard Yeats’ fierce gaze fell on Julia, his finger bones cracking, yet he refrained from hitting her, instead pulling Ivy over.
"Ivy, kick her."
"But this..."
Howard Yeats saw Ivy timid as a rabbit, silently shook his head, and said again, "Have you forgotten how Ivana Monroe protected you at the bar?"
Ivy shook her head. She had drunk a lot that night, forgetting many things, but this incident was vividly remembered.
A dark fury flickered in Julia’s eyes.
Ivana Monroe.
Was it Ivana Monroe who sent these two to take revenge on her?
Julia was filled with hatred.
Howard Yeats patted Ivy’s shoulder, encouraging her, "Ivana Monroe risked her life for you, smashing a beer bottle to use as a weapon against those thugs. Now there’s just one useless woman in front of you, can’t you give her a lesson for Ivana?"
Howard Yeats sighed, "If I were Ivana, I would surely be heartbroken and disappointed to have such a timid friend like you."
Howard Yeats’ provocation worked well.
Ivy felt distressed. Indeed, she was so useless.
Gritting her teeth, influenced by Howard Yeats, Ivy lifted her foot and kicked at Julia. The force wasn’t very strong, but not small either.
"Stop it, stop it..."
Kyle cried, crawling to Julia’s side, tightly shielding her with his chest.
He was trembling with rage. Ivana Monroe was truly detestable. It wasn’t enough to harm his sister; now she sent people to bully her again.
Ivana Monroe, that malicious woman.
"Get out of the way."
Howard Yeats kicked Kyle aside harshly.
Kyle groaned in pain, his body curling up into a ball, his face as pale as death, small beads of sweat turning into large droplets streaming from his brow.
"Kyle."
Julia cried out in distress when she saw this.
Julia crawled over and hugged Kyle, her heart trembling, "Kyle, don’t scare sister, doctor, get a doctor... save my brother."
"Dare to call for help in front of me? Let’s see who can save you siblings today."
Howard Yeats was filled with murderous intent.
As he approached the siblings, Ivy suddenly grabbed his arm.
Ivy shook her head at him, "I’ve already taught her a lesson, let’s not cause a death, let’s leave!"
Kyle didn’t seem to be faking it, and Ivy was a bit scared.
Howard Yeats looked at Ivy’s small hand, which had proactively held his arm. Even through his clothes, he could feel her palm’s delicacy and softness, "For your sake today, I’ll spare them."
Howard Yeats smoothly wrapped his arm around Ivy’s slender waist and led her away.
Just as they reached the ward door, Ivy reached out to pull it open.
Howard Yeats stopped her, saying mischievously, "Ivy, you forgot something."
Ivy: "Huh?"
Howard Yeats: "Talk tough."
Ivy immediately understood and turned to the siblings on the floor, "Remember this, if you dare mess with my idol goddess again, I... I’ll make you pay."
Howard Yeats chuckled, Ivy, even when trying to be fierce, looked like a little rabbit, with no real threat.
But it didn’t matter.
Leon had already arranged bodyguards for Ivana Monroe’s hospital room; no matter how capable Julia was, she couldn’t harm Ivana.
He brought Ivy here, claiming it was to teach Julia a lesson, but it was really to create an opportunity for them to spend time together.
Ivy was so naive, she didn’t see through his intentions at all.
