Chapter 180: Chapter 180: How Romantic! Blue Enchantress Roses

Lena entered the garage and was deeply attracted by Leon Keane’s handsome looks. The adjacent parking spot wasn’t hers either; she parked here just to strike up a conversation with Leon Keane.

Lena was a very charming actress, and with beauty as her weapon, she had always been invincible in the high society circle.

Lena was confident that she could win over Leon Keane tonight.

Leon Keane discarded his half-smoked cigarette, and with his deep black eyes, he looked at Lena, leaving her entirely stunned, as if she had fallen into a whirlpool, her heart thrilling with excitement.

This man was stunning to the extreme.

You couldn’t find another man in the high society circle brimming with such charm.

She was really lucky.

Leon Keane moved, and the smile on Lena’s face deepened, as if anticipating him to corner her against the wall. A basement garage was also the perfect place for such a move.

As Leon Keane walked toward Lena, she suddenly found herself getting nervous.

"Get lost."

Leon Keane’s thin lips coldly spat out the words, and Lena’s expression changed.

Leon Keane’s look of disdain completely sobered Lena up; this man despised her.

Leon Keane had seen plenty of women who didn’t know better, and he didn’t have the patience to deal with her. He directly reached out, pushed Lena aside, strode over to the driver’s door, opened it, and started the engine.

The luxury car left the garage arrogantly like a silver dragon, leaving fumes that made Lena feel uncomfortable.

Lena’s red lips twitched in anger, "Lunatic, no gentlemanly conduct at all. A gorgeous woman like me offers herself, and he doesn’t even look. He must be gay."

In recent days, Leon Keane hadn’t appeared in front of Ivana Monroe, and Ivana Monroe had thrown herself entirely into work.

Ivana Monroe went to Oscar Olsen’s mother’s factory. The factory was quite large, modern with mechanized operations, assembly lines, and very well-maintained hygiene inside, with workers performing their tasks in orderly fashion.

Oscar Olsen’s mother was named Meggie Olsen. As her name suggests, she was a very elegant lady. Though over fifty, you wouldn’t be able to tell; she was well preserved and standing next to Oscar, she looked like his sister. When Ivana Monroe first saw Meggie, she also mistook her for Oscar’s sister, hardly believing that such a young-looking lady was Oscar’s mother.

Meggie Olsen liked Ivana Monroe very much, and the praise in her eyes was genuine and unpretentious, unlike those girlfriends Oscar had brought home before. Their praise seemed too deliberate, appearing hypocritical, especially with an occasional tinge of jealousy in their eyes.

Meggie Olsen knew that her youthful appearance would make many women jealous. She didn’t mind women who were jealous of her, but she disliked hypocritical women. Even if Oscar liked them, she couldn’t bring herself to like them.

Meggie was aware that her son was pursuing Ivana Monroe. She didn’t mind that Ivana had been divorced and had a child. Meggie herself was a woman who had been hurt but was independent and strong. Even before meeting Ivana, Meggie felt a shred of sympathy for her. After meeting Ivana, she found that Ivana was very much like her, not only beautiful but also supremely competent.

Meggie greatly admired Ivana, and after a conversation, Meggie and Ivana reached a consensus, becoming partners.

As Ivana left, Meggie asked Oscar to see her off.

Ivana smiled and declined, while Meggie glared at Oscar, blaming her son for being incapable.

Ivana left.

Meggie said to Oscar, "If you dare fool around after pursuing Ivana, like before, don’t blame me if I kick my own son out. I really like and admire Ivana, you mustn’t harm her."

"Of course, if you’re not done fooling around and aren’t ready for marriage, I suggest you keep at it and only get serious once you’ve had your fill."

Oscar embraced Meggie with a smile, "You’re defending Ivana after just meeting her? I’m your own son, aren’t you afraid of breaking your own child’s heart?"

Meggie spat, "With your deceitful intentions, I’d rather you weren’t my own child, it’s embarrassing."

Oscar protested, "What kind of mother finds her son embarrassing?"

The mother and son exchanged banter for a while, and Oscar felt delighted, embracing Meggie’s shoulders firmly, earnestly saying, "Mom, do you know? Ivana gives me a different feeling, unlike any girl before. I’ve never wanted to have someone so desperately. I think once I have her, I will marry her."

Previously, whenever Oscar spoke about girls in front of Meggie, he always did so jokingly and dismissively. This time, his serious expression surprised Meggie.

Meggie didn’t speak but, seeing Oscar’s face, she remembered her ex-husband, who was also madly seeking her once. But in the end?

He still abandoned her.

She hoped Oscar wouldn’t inherit his father’s bad traits.

Meggie sighed and said, "It’s different domestically and abroad. Marriage means you’re going to be responsible for her for a lifetime."

Oscar said with a smile, "Of course I know that, which is why I only dated girlfriends before, without getting married. Once married, I’ll take on my responsibilities."

Seeing the hurt in Meggie’s eyes, Oscar’s smile masked the pain in his heart.

When his father abandoned his mother, it was like he abandoned him too. He understood his mother’s feelings better than anyone else. He constantly changed girlfriends, ostensibly to compete with Silas Joyce.

In reality, he wanted to understand why those girls were different. Why did his father abandon his mother for someone new? But after trying, Oscar felt those girls were all the same; only Ivana was different.

Oscar thought that if he married Ivana, he wouldn’t hurt her like his father hurt his mother.

Ivana Monroe returned to the office, pushed open the door, and was greeted by the scent of roses. A huge bouquet of blue roses was placed on her desk, almost covering the entire surface.

Who sent it?

Ivana’s first thought was Leon Keane, her heart fluttering slightly before she shook her head. Impossible. Knowing how overbearing Leon was and how she thoroughly offended him, how could he possibly send flowers to make amends?

Ivana walked into her office and saw a card in the center of the blue roses. She picked it up and read: If in this life I have 999 chances of good fortune, I wish to give 997 of those to you, keeping only two for myself—one meeting you, the other always being by your side.

Ivana blushed slightly; such romantic words...

Aside from the romantic lines, the card didn’t say who sent it.

Ivana asked around at the company, but no one knew. The flowers were delivered by a florist, and the female colleagues looked at Ivana with envy.

"How romantic, blue roses and 999 of them, President Monroe, you’re so lucky."

Ivana didn’t know what to say. Not even knowing who sent them, speaking of happiness seemed premature.
