Chapter 154: Chapter 154: Ian Is So Well-Behaved
No matter if the wedding is approaching, it’s never good to be caught on camera in such a scene.
Ivana Monroe pursed her lips, choosing not to express her thoughts, hoping he wouldn’t keep looking at her with those fiery eyes and would hurry to the driver’s seat to drive!
Seeing her remain silent, Leon Keane smiled, helped her close the car door, then walked to the driver’s seat, opened the door, and started the luxury car.
On the road.
Leon Keane spoke first, "In the future, if I finish work early, I’ll come pick you up and bring Timmy home."
Ivana Monroe was slightly surprised, turning her eyes to look at Leon Keane’s handsome profile; his expression was serious.
Ivana’s heart suddenly moved; a boy driving a girl home—it’s almost standard for every stage of a romantic relationship.
Ivana didn’t agree, she refused: "It’s not necessary, I can pick up Timmy myself."
Ahead was a red light, Leon Keane braked and stopped behind a Volkswagen. He turned his handsome face to Ivana and said, "I don’t think it’s inconvenient, so it’s not inconvenient."
Leon Keane noticed Ivana’s distressed expression; a low pressure emanated from him.
She rejected him? Does she not want to be with him that much?
Ivana shivered; how could this man change his mood so suddenly? She had her reasons for not wanting to trouble him.
Ivana met his cool gaze and said, "Timmy and Ian are in the same kindergarten; as a father, you go every day with another woman to pick up the child. Have you considered Ian’s feelings?"
Ivana spoke sincerely, "Leon Keane, you can’t be so selfish, doing things according to your own preferences. You are a father; whatever you do, you must consider Ian’s feelings."
Ivana added, "If being with you would bring harm to Ian, then I would terminate this relationship at any time because I’m also a mother to a child. I cannot face another child with the same hurt look as Timmy."
And also a reproachful look.
Ian is Leon Keane’s flesh and blood, looking almost indistinguishable from Timmy.
Every time Ivana thinks of that child, she can’t help but feel troubled; he is the little boy she most doesn’t want to hurt.
The red light turned green.
Leon Keane stepped on the accelerator; his driving was very steady. Thinking about Ivana’s recent words, his black eyes deepened, understanding her intent.
A moment later.
Leon Keane said meaningfully, "Don’t overthink; you’ll never bring harm to Ian. Being with me, Ian is actually happy."
Ivana remained silent, turning her face to gaze at the scenery outside the window, the lush trees along the road continuously passing by, like time slipping away; she felt somewhat dazed.
Would Ian really feel happy?
This happiness might just be Leon Keane’s wishful thinking; he doesn’t represent Ian.
Ivana’s mind suddenly mused: Who really is Ian’s biological mom? Why didn’t Leon end up with her? Or were they together before and separated later?
Regarding Ian’s biological mom, Leon Keane never mentioned anything to her.
Ivana knows these belong to Leon Keane’s past, yet she still feels a little uneasy.
Her own past is almost fully known to Leon Keane, but she knows nothing about his.
Ivana asked Leon Keane to stop the car a distance away from Wellbright Kindergarten; Leon did not agree.
He directly parked the Bugatti Veyron outside the kindergarten entrance.
Ivana was quite speechless; she lowered her head and got out from the passenger seat, planning to pick up Timmy and take a taxi directly back home.
Leon seemed to intentionally follow her, standing wherever she stood?
Two nearly identical little boys walked out from the kindergarten.
Timmy Monroe saw Ivana and Leon had both arrived; his innocent little face broke into a sunny, happy smile, enthusiastically calling out from a distance, "Mommy, Uncle Kane."
Ian Keane wore cool sunglasses; he didn’t make a sound. Through the sunglasses, he saw Ivana and hesitated slightly, quickly lowering his gaze but soon remembering he wore sunglasses, he raised his eyes again, looking at Ivana.
Ivana’s gaze fell on Timmy Monroe; Ian Keane felt somewhat lost inside.
The two little boys came up to Ivana and Leon Keane.
Ivana’s gaze finally fell on Ian Keane.
Feeling her gaze, Ian’s little heart skipped a beat.
Ivana showed him a kind smile, slowly squatting in front of Ian Keane, facing his sunglasses, gently saying, "Ian, we’ve met before, haven’t we? Do you remember me?"
How could Ian not remember Ivana? Facing her kind smile, his little heart beat fiercely. Suddenly, a strange thought arose; if he could swap with Timmy right now, he could throw himself into her arms and call her Mommy.
"Mm." Ian forcibly maintained composure, his thin lips uttering a sound.
Leon suddenly said, "Don’t be rude; call her Ma... Auntie."
Leon wanted Ian to call Ivana "Mommy," understanding neither the child nor Ivana would admit the other’s true identity as biological mom and son.
Leon changed his statement; in the long run, he could wait until they married, then Ian and Ivana would be familiar, and he could take the mother-son pair to the hospital for a paternity test.
That way, the mother and son could recognize each other.
Leon wondered if it was an illusion; earlier, he seemed to see Ian open his mouth wanted to call "Mom."
"Auntie." Ian called out "Auntie," feeling suppressed inside.
He still preferred to call this woman "Mommy"; he was undoubtedly influenced by Timmy.
"Hey." Ivana was somewhat surprised, smiling and nodding, reaching to touch his soft cheek: "Ian is so good."
This woman can’t change her habit of touching people?
Ian felt the spot she touched was strangely warm; his entire little face began to blush, his head bowed as if trying to hide something?
Such a shy appearance, in Ivana’s eyes, was surprisingly endearing.
Leon was amazed by his son’s behavior; was this child still the cool, unapproachable little boy? In front of Ivana, he was practically a gentle little lamb.
The driver from the Kane family’s old residence came over; Leon motioned him away, letting the driver follow his luxury car from behind.
Timmy Monroe cheerfully took Ian Keane’s little hand, and the two little brothers climbed into Leon’s Bugatti Veyron.
"Uncle Kane, your car is so comfortable! Can you come often with Mommy to pick us up with Ian from school?" Timmy Monroe sat in the back seat, stuck his little head up front to ask Leon.
"Timmy, sit tight. Your Uncle Kane was just passing by today; he can’t always come pick you up." Ivana touched Timmy Monroe’s little forehead with her fingers.
