I want to take you wandering.

Chapter 33 Additional Conditions for Equity (Part 2)

Just then, a minivan screeched to a halt outside the coffee shop. Several men, carrying baseball bats, barged in. Huang Xiaotian, seated by the window, immediately recognized they were after him.

A man in the front, a toothpick dangling from his lips, shoved past a waiter who tried to stop him and swaggered to their table. Upon seeing Ou Yunchen, he deliberately avoided eye contact. He then propped a subordinate’s baseball bat against the table, rested his hands on the handle, and tilted his head, gesturing at Huang Xiaotian.

"Discussing business?"

Huang Xiaotian felt a pang of fear.

"Can we talk after you repay the money?"

Huang Xiaotian remained silent. He was terrified of leaving a bad impression on IDG, but it was too late to hide now.

Huang Xiaotian: "willia/"

No, he wanted to turn his life around! His father had built his fortune from scratch, and so could he!

"I'll sell you the project!"

The opportunity had arrived. The climax of his plan was imminent. The previous events were merely a staged spectacle – the baseball bats were props, and the debt collectors were extras. The protagonist had finally fallen into the trap!

"I can lend you money in my personal capacity, but I have a condition."

"If you can help me, I swear, Huang Xiaotian will gladly be your servant, and I won't go back on my word!"

"That won't be necessary. I want you to transfer the factory land from your uncle to me."

Huang Xiaotian's brow furrowed.

"To be frank, my uncle is simple-minded. It's not that I don't want to ask him, but ever since I followed my mother to Wan Jianguo's place, I've cut ties with everything related to the Huang family. I haven't seen him in a long time. He's lived his entire life in my father's factory. If the factory is given to you, where will he go?"

Huang Xiaotian lowered his head. His list of things to feel guilty about had grown longer, and this was the hardest thing to bring himself to do. While he shouldn't have borrowed from loan sharks, he also couldn't bear to let his simple-minded uncle bear the consequences for him. He already felt like a failure for involving his wife, and he couldn't stomach the thought of his uncle ending up on the streets.

Time ticked by. Ou Yunchen saw the last shred of humanity in Huang Xiaotian. But for his own benefit, and to gain Madam Su's trust, he had to be ruthless. Deception was the quickest path. If the outcome was what he desired, would anyone care about the process?

"I'll give you three days to think about it. If you've made up your mind, call me."

Huang Xiaotian frowned, his lips slightly parted as he watched Ou Yunchen rise and leave. He needed to seize this opportunity, but the price of this opportunity was an unimaginable coldness, far more difficult than taking a life...
