"No," he said.
Chi Hao uttered these two words, and Tong Zheng and Ke Wuwen nodded in agreement.
Then Chi Hao continued, "We haven't finished searching."
Ke Wuwen and Tong Zheng looked at Chi Hao with confusion, asking in unison, "Where else haven't we searched?"
Chi Hao only replied with two words, "Ming He."
"Huh?" Ke Wuwen looked perplexed. "What does this have to do with the idol?"
Jing Minghe's eyes widened slightly, and he was the first to react. "Right, this area where I'm standing, you guys haven't searched."
As he spoke, Jing Minghe prepared to step aside but accidentally stepped on something, stumbling.
"Idol!"
Ke Wuwen anxiously reached out to pull him, but someone else was faster.
Chi Hao pulled Jing Minghe into his embrace, comforting him in a low voice, "Don't worry, it's alright."
Jing Minghe gently pushed away Chi Hao, who was holding him too tightly, and chuckled, "I'm not worried. At worst, I'll fall, it's not like I'll die."
Ke Wuwen's eyes widened. He remembered that Chi Hao had clearly been standing behind him, the furthest from Jing Minghe compared to himself and Tong Zheng. So, how had Chi Hao managed to flash to Jing Minghe's side in an instant? That speed was too excessive, wasn't it?
Seeing that Jing Minghe was fine, Tong Zheng quickly resumed searching for the tombstone. That was their most important task at the moment.
"Found it," Tong Zheng exclaimed with undisguised excitement. "The last tombstone is here!"
Jing Minghe broke free from Chi Hao's embrace and asked, "Is there anything special about these four tombstones?"
Jing Minghe couldn't see, so the other three did their best to describe the tombstones in detail. After listening, Jing Minghe furrowed his brows and murmured, "This... it doesn't seem to have anything special."
Everyone fell silent, each racking their brains for any overlooked details.
"Position, distance," Chi Hao suddenly said.
Jing Minghe immediately pressed, "What do you mean?"
"The position and distance of these four tombstones."
Prompted by Chi Hao, Ke Wuwen quickly looked back at the other three tombstones. The bonfires they had lit were still burning. After observing, Ke Wuwen shouted excitedly, "I know! The positions of these four tombstones form a square when connected."
"A square?" Jing Minghe pondered, his brows furrowed. "Since it's a square, if we connect the diagonals, there will be an intersection. Let's find out where the intersection is."
Tong Zheng curled his lips and said, "This graveyard isn't small."
"Then let's try searching first," Jing Minghe suggested. "Let's dig next to each tombstone. If we can dig something out, then we don't need to find the intersection. If we can't, then we'll have to find the intersection."
"What if we can't dig anything out at the intersection either?" Ke Wuwen asked. "Are there any other possibilities?"
"Divide the tasks," Chi Hao suggested. "You guys dig by the tombstones, and I'll look for the intersection."
Jing Minghe couldn't help but sigh, "Ah, it's so troublesome not being able to see."
Chi Hao gently squeezed Jing Minghe's arm. "I'm here, don't worry."
"How about this," Tong Zheng interjected. "Lin Ling and I will go dig next to the tombstones. Chi Hao, you and Wuwen can look for the intersection."
"No," Chi Hao objected. "I'll take Lin Ling."
Tong Zheng looked at Chi Hao with a hint of amusement.
So, this cold fellow also had feelings? But why hadn't he taken special care of Lin Ling before?
"Let's do as Hao Ge says," Jing Minghe said. "Let's act quickly, it must be almost dawn, right?"
"Right, right, let's move!" Ke Wuwen grabbed Tong Zheng, preparing to leave.
Tong Zheng shook off Ke Wuwen's hand and said, "You dig this one, I'll go over there."
"Oh, okay," Ke Wuwen chuckled. "Thanks, Brother Tong, for being considerate and letting me walk less."
Tong Zheng shook his head helplessly and turned to another tombstone.
After everyone separated again, Jing Minghe asked Lu, "Why are you so quiet? What are you afraid of?"
Lu suddenly jumped away. "What are you talking about! I'm not afraid!"
Ke Wuwen, digging by the tombstone, heard Jing Minghe's conversation with "Guan Wei" and turned to ask, "Idol, what are you talking about?"
"Nothing, just dig seriously."
"Yes!"
Jing Minghe smiled in Ke Wuwen's direction, then turned towards Lu's location and noticed the characters on Lu's forehead flickering again.
Bad, could it be that dawn was approaching?
He didn't know what this graveyard would turn into after dawn. Lu was tied up, and he didn't know if it couldn't break free or if it wasn't time yet. Lin Ling's situation was unclear. Although she might not be able to harm Chi Hao, she was still a potential threat.
Ke Wuwen was not far away. Jing Minghe kept a close eye on Lu, in case of any sudden changes.
"Roar!"
An angry roar came from a certain direction. Jing Minghe immediately looked in that direction, only seeing two characters floating in the air: Qing Di.
Immediately after, Jing Minghe heard Ke Wuwen's voice, "What's going on? Brother Chi and Sister Lin Ling are fighting! No, that's not Sister Lin Ling!"
"Idol, be careful!"
Lu finally revealed its true form and, breaking free from its ropes, lunged at Jing Minghe.
Jing Minghe ordered Ke Wuwen, "Don't come over!" Then he kicked the lunging Lu away.
"Impossible!" Lu scrambled back up and roared, "You're blind! How could you kick so accurately?"
Jing Minghe snorted coldly and pointed at Lu. "You want to kill me? Come on, this young master isn't afraid of you."
"Kill you!" Lu roared and charged at Jing Minghe.
Jing Minghe couldn't see what "Guan Wei" looked like now, but he could clearly see the character on its forehead: Lu.
Tong Zheng also stopped digging. Looking at the sudden battles on Chi Hao's and Jing Minghe's sides, he couldn't help but ask, "What's going on? How could Lin Ling...?"
"Under here! Dig!" During a momentary lull in fending off "Lin Ling," Chi Hao hit a certain spot with a pebble and gave a simple, clear command.
Tong Zheng didn't question further and shouted to Ke Wuwen, "Wuwen! Come help me!"
Hearing this, Ke Wuwen quickly joined Tong Zheng at the spot Chi Hao had marked and began digging with all their might.
The ghosts possessing Lin Ling and Guan Wei were clearly much stronger than the previous group of flower-headed, man-eating ghosts. Both Chi Hao and Jing Minghe were fighting with difficulty.
Tong Zheng and Ke Wuwen dared not slacken, digging desperately and reminding themselves, "Faster, we must be faster!"
As the sun gradually rose, the space in the graveyard began to warp.
The two ghosts, Lu and Qing Di, suddenly vanished without a trace after the sun had fully risen.
"We dug it out!" Ke Wuwen shouted. "A large black package! Idol! We..."
Before Ke Wuwen could finish speaking, the space of the graveyard warped completely. The four of them, Jing Minghe, fell into the void, continuously descending into an unknown space, their consciousnesses gradually becoming blurred.
