Chapter 13 A Reunion
Ye Xingguo looked at the woman’s icy expression with a sense of helplessness. He sighed inwardly and quickly changed the subject, afraid he might not have another chance to enter the door.
“Ye Shenggo has been discharged from the hospital, but she seems to have changed.”
“Oh? A person who has been rendered useless can still change?”
Ye Xingguo felt ashamed when he spoke of these things. He still hadn't figured out Wan Qiong’s feelings towards Ye Shenggo.
“It was my mother who was always stingy, not even letting that girl eat an egg. Maybe she’s just grown up and knows how to resist now.”
Wan Qiong paused, her fingers adorned with nail polish, and a faint smile appeared on her face.
“That’s good, as long as she’s alive. Her body needs to hold up.”
Ye Shenggo, eavesdropping in the kitchen, gritted her teeth. What grudge did the original owner have with this woman? It seemed she had to make contact with this woman to uncover the truth.
Meanwhile, in the hospital room, Ye Muen had finally figured out why he was lying there. He was anxious to find his sister. Moreover, through the original owner’s memories, he saw that his parents looked exactly like his own parents. These were things he needed to verify.
However, his current injuries were a real headache. He was wrapped up like a mummy. And this world was so backward it was unimaginable; he doubted if this body could even be healed.
As he was thinking, the door to the ward was pushed open. Upon seeing the person who entered, Ye Muen hesitated to make any sudden moves.
“Big Brother, you’re finally awake! I was so worried about you.” Su Dan Xiaoshuo.com
Looking at the woman who was practically throwing herself at him, Ye Muen just wanted to throw her out. Not everyone could call him Big Brother. Even if he had taken over the original owner’s body, he wouldn’t allow it.
“Yage, mind your older brother’s injuries. What kind of behavior is that, being so rash?”
Ye Yage stood up with a hint of grievance. She didn’t know why her parents had been so cold to her recently.
Bai Leqi nervously walked to the side of the person wrapped like a mummy. She found it difficult to accept that the person lying here was not her son in spirit.
“Xiao Enen?”
Ye Muen’s eyes lit up. His mother was here too!
“Mom!”
Bai Leqi breathed a sigh of relief and turned to Ye Yage, saying calmly.
“Go out and buy your brother some porridge.”
“Yes, Mom.”
Being called Mom by a stranger, Bai Leqi trembled slightly. Ye Huaijin, standing beside her, reassuringly placed an arm around his wife’s shoulders.
When the ward door was closed, Ye Huaijin immediately locked it.
“Xiao Enen, is it really you?”
“Mom, how did you guys transmigrate too? Where is sister? Have you seen her?”
The moment their precious daughter was mentioned, the joy of reunion vanished.
Bai Leqi plopped down on the hospital bed and started to cry. What a mess this was!
“Where has my Shenggo gone? Why could the three of us transmigrate together, but she’s not here?”
Ye Huaijin, who had been silent, also slumped onto a nearby chair. He looked at his son’s current miserable state without any trace of worry.
“Stop crying. If we could all come, Shenggo must have come too.”
“Easy for you to say. You know Shenggo’s body. I’m worried she can’t take care of herself.”
Ye Muen reached out and held his mother’s hand.
“Mom, when I get better, I’ll go find sister. Don’t forget what she has on her.”
Bai Leqi looked at her son’s appearance and let out a rather disloyal laugh.
“How are you doing now? Can you still manage?”
“Mom, I’m definitely not your biological son. Didn’t you see how miserable I am?”
