"What are you doing, are you a dog!"
When did this man learn to bite people at the drop of a hat? Could he really be born in the Year of the Dog.
"Speak, am I the children's biological father or not!"
Ling Mo Han, still obsessed with this matter, asked Feng Jin again, determined to know the truth.
"You are not... you are not!"
Feng Jin was also angry at this moment, saying whatever came to her mind without thinking, just wanting to provoke Ling Mo Han, as if it would make her feel better.
The man angrily pinched Feng Jin's small chin, his voice laced with danger: "Since Da Bao and Er Bao are not my children, then you'll have to work hard to have another biological child for me."
As soon as the words fell, he silenced Feng Jin's lips. Coincidentally, he also really wanted a daughter.
After a passionate embrace, Feng Jin was so exhausted that she had no strength left, and leaned weakly in the man's arms.
How did things turn out this way? This was clearly not the ending she wanted. She glared fiercely at the man behind her, who looked utterly satisfied.
It was completely unfair. She was exhausted like a dog, yet Ling Mo Han looked so refreshed.
"What's wrong?"
Noticing Feng Jin's displeased gaze, the man leaned down closer, his voice extremely gentle as he asked for Feng Jin's opinion.
Instantly, her face blushed uncontrollably. She rolled her eyes and pushed the man in front of her away with dissatisfaction. She was simply too tired now; her eyelids were heavy with sleep, and all she wanted was to sleep soundly. She had no energy to discuss anything else with Ling Mo Han.
Whatever they had to say could wait until she woke up tomorrow. Feng Jin pulled the quilt over her head and, unable to stay awake any longer, closed her eyes.
Sensing that the little woman in his arms was no longer moving, Ling Mo Han lifted the quilt from Feng Jin's head. Seeing her sleeping delicate face, a faint smile curved his lips.
He reached out and placed his hand on Feng Jin's flat abdomen. After trying for so long, why was there still no sign of movement?
When would Feng Jin give him a beautiful and adorable daughter? It would be much better than those two brats.
He had just promised them he would get the wooden swords back for them, but he still didn't know where Feng Jin had hidden them.
After hesitating for a moment, Ling Mo Han decided to get out of bed and search for the wooden swords.
He searched the room inside and out, top to bottom, leaving no crevice unchecked, and finally found them.
He had to admit, Feng Jin was incredibly secretive when hiding things. No one would have thought that the wooden swords were hidden in a box on top of the cabinet.
If he hadn't searched so thoroughly, they would have been truly impossible to find. With the wooden swords in hand, he could finally account for those two brats.
This way, they wouldn't keep pestering him and falsely accuse his reputation.
He carefully put away the wooden swords he had finally found, ready to return them to Da Bao and Er Bao at dawn.
...
As the sky began to lighten, Da Bao and Er Bao were already up and about, their eyes half-closed, clearly not fully awake.
"What time is it? Why isn't Father here yet!"
Impatient, Da Bao craned his neck to look outside, but still no sign of Ling Mo Han.
Had Father gone back on his word and wouldn't teach them martial arts today? If so, wouldn't he have woken up so early for nothing? He was almost dying of sleepiness.
Yawning, Er Bao rubbed his eyes. The sky was already brightening, but Father was still nowhere to be seen. Could something have delayed him?
"Do you think Father didn't get the wooden swords back from Mother and is afraid we'll laugh at him, so he's not coming?"
Da Bao pondered for a long time, and this seemed like the most plausible reason. After all, everyone knew that Father was afraid of Mother.
Otherwise, Father was always punctual and had never been late. Him being so late today must be because of this.
"I don't know."
Er Bao shook his head, unsure why Father hadn't come.
Perhaps Father would come in a little while. Compared to Da Bao's impatience, Er Bao was much more patient. He closed his eyes to rest, knowing they wouldn't have time to rest when Father arrived.
They waited and waited, but still no one came. Da Bao's patience wore thin, and he lost the will to wait any longer. Impatiently, Da Bao stood up and stomped his foot: "Forget it, it seems Father isn't coming today. Let's go back to sleep."
In this cold weather, after waiting for so long without seeing anyone, they knew without a doubt that Father wouldn't come today.
Waiting any longer would be futile. It was better to take advantage of the early hour to go back and get some more sleep.
Saying this, Da Bao grabbed Er Bao and was about to go back. After taking only a couple of steps, Ling Mo Han's voice rang out from behind them.
"Are you two preparing to go back."
Upon hearing the voice, the two children quickly turned around to look at Ling Mo Han behind them. Their young faces were filled with reproach.
"What are those expressions?"
Why did they look like he had bullied them, with such wronged expressions.
"Father, why are you so late? We thought you weren't coming!"
Da Bao put his hands on his hips, his gaze at Ling Mo Han full of dissatisfaction. His demeanor was truly quite similar to Feng Jin's.
Too lazy to explain to this brat, Ling Mo Han's tone remained as arrogant as ever: "Since you want to learn martial arts from me, you must obey my every command. If I don't come, you should simply review yesterday's lessons on your own, and don't be lazy like today."
Da Bao and Er Bao mumbled, clearly showing their dissatisfaction. However, Ling Mo Han was their father, so no matter how unhappy they were, they could not vent their anger and could only endure it.
"What are you two still standing around for? Hurry up and practice horse stance!"
Ling Mo Han's tone unintentionally grew a little heavier. The two children pouted, filled with dissatisfaction, but finally, and very reluctantly, they continued to practice horse stance.
They had been practicing this single horse stance for several days. What kind of martial arts was this? It seemed they were exclusively learning horse stance, and Father didn't even teach them anything else.
"Father, are we still practicing horse stance today?"
Da Bao asked tentatively. He really didn't want to practice horse stance anymore. It would be better if he taught him a set of boxing moves, so he could be invincible throughout the world. How cool would that be?
