“What are you doing!”
The thoughts that had just been organized were messed up by Ling Mohan’s pull.
“If you have something to say, say it. If not, go rest elsewhere. Don’t keep hovering around me. You’ve messed up all the ideas I just sorted out.”
Feng Jin’s tone carried a hint of blame. Anyone else would have been as angry as she was.
After thinking for a long time and finally getting some clues, only to forget them completely, Feng Jin was even more annoyed. She glared fiercely at Ling Mohan, her eyes full of disdain. “I’m begging you, just go sit in that pavilion over there and have some tea. In any case, just don’t bother me for now. I’ll figure it out after I’ve divided everything.”
Saying that, Feng Jin, with a smile on her face, ushered Ling Mohan away and then continued her research, still holding a twig and drawing on the ground from time to time.
Ling Mohan, feeling rejected, sat in the pavilion with a dejected expression, quietly staring at Feng Jin’s figure. His eyes were filled with sorrow, like an aggrieved young wife.
“Are you done yet?” Ling Mohan couldn’t bear it any longer and asked helplessly.
“Almost, almost,” Feng Jin replied without looking up, her hands never stopping.
After a full cup of tea’s time, Feng Jin finally stood up and stretched her tired body. It was finally finished, and it was worth all her hard work and planning.
The basic structure was in place, and it only needed a little refinement before construction could begin.
Seeing Feng Jin stand up, Ling Mohan knew she was done and quickly got up to walk towards her. “You’re finished?”
He reached out and thoughtfully wiped the sweat from Feng Jin’s forehead, his voice full of affection.
“It’s done. Once we draw up the blueprints after returning to the manor, it’ll be completed. You just wait to count money at home every day.”
‘Gulp… gulp…’ A very untimely sound interrupted their attention. Feng Jin lowered her head slightly, feeling embarrassed.
She had only eaten two steamed buns at lunch, and she was already getting hungry this quickly.
“You’re hungry, I’ll take you to eat something.”
Ling Mohan smiled, took Feng Jin’s hand, and walked towards the outside of the manor. A horse, procured from somewhere, was tied at the entrance.
“Where’s the carriage? Why isn’t it here? And where did this horse come from?”
Feng Jin pointed at the slightly unfamiliar horse and asked. The carriage was gone overnight, and even the horse had been changed.
“I sent someone to take the carriage away and specifically changed to a horse.”
The carriage was too slow and wasted too much time. It couldn’t compare to the speed of a horse.
Ling Mohan leaped directly onto the horse and extended his hand to Feng Jin. “Get on.”
As soon as Feng Jin placed her hand in his, a pull sent her onto the horse.
Before Feng Jin could react, the horse beneath them galloped away at lightning speed. Feng Jin was immediately shaken and tightly clutched the man’s clothes behind her.
“Slow down… I’m scared…”
This feeling was scarier than a roller coaster. Her heart was pounding like a drum. If she had a weak heart, she would probably have died on the spot.
Ling Mohan sensed Feng Jin’s fear and immediately slowed down, the horse walking forward steadily.
Feng Jin’s tensed shoulders finally relaxed slightly, but her hands still clutched the man’s clothes tightly, afraid of being thrown off.
Now she truly understood how great a invention seat belts were, wishing she could tie herself securely to Ling Mohan.
“If you dare to accelerate suddenly, I… I…”
Feng Jin thought for a long time but couldn’t come up with any threat to the man. She just feigned fierceness, but it was useless.
“Alright, I understand.”
Ling Mohan replied calmly. He really didn’t dare to ride so fast anymore. If he scared Feng Jin too much, he would be the one to get scolded in the end.
With the horse’s speed stabilized, Feng Jin was no longer as scared and began to admire the scenery along the way.
“This place isn’t bad. The main road isn’t far ahead. It’s just this forest that’s a bit of a hindrance. It would be great if they were all cut down… but if they were cut down, it would be a waste…”
The worst part was this forest. A carriage could pass through it with plenty of room, but if there were more, wouldn’t it cause a delay? Moreover, the forest completely concealed the manor behind it. Anyone who didn’t know would definitely not be able to find the manor.
Feng Jin immediately became troubled. While she was still debating whether to cut down the trees in the forest, Ling Mohan’s voice sounded from above. “If it’s not suitable, then cut down the forest. I’ll do it for you.”
“Ah…” Feng Jin’s mouth opened slightly, and she looked at Ling Mohan with surprise. This man was so domineering. Had he been reading some romance novels about overbearing CEOs? Was he trying to show off what he’d learned?
“What’s wrong? You’re not happy?”
Ling Mohan’s tone was full of doubt. Logically, his statement shouldn’t be disliked by girls. He had learned it from several novels. Feng Jin shouldn’t be dissatisfied, so why the expression? It didn’t make sense.
Feng Jin forced a smile. “Satisfied… satisfied, how could I not be satisfied? Extremely satisfied…”
What could she say? If she said she wasn’t satisfied, Ling Mohan might just explode.
To avoid such a situation, she had to agree with him.
Ling Mohan was clearly very pleased with her words, a faint smile on his lips.
“Since you are satisfied, I will arrange for people to do this tomorrow.”
He was determined to strike while the iron was hot, without any hesitation, so that Feng Jin would be completely satisfied.
“Okay…” Feng Jin responded perfunctorily. She thought Ling Mohan was just saying it. However, when she saw a ten-meter-wide road being cleared, she was so stunned that she couldn’t react for a long time. Only then did she realize how strong Ling Mohan’s execution ability was.
After that, Feng Jin dared not say anything else, for fear that Ling Mohan, addicted to being an overbearing CEO, might have another sudden whim. She couldn’t handle it.
Even at dinner, Feng Jin just quietly stuffed food into her mouth.
