"Brother, we've found him."
Jiang Dalei, a man with a bear-like physique and wearing a monstrous mask, stood among the crowd, looking at his sister, Jiang Yiyi, who was some distance away. She wore a long, floor-length dress, her face a mask of cold displeasure, as aloof as a queen.
Jiang Yiyi, her face partially obscured by a dark, gold-trimmed half-mask, took a wine glass filled with plain water from a waiter's tray. Her chin, perpetually tilted upwards, turned slightly to nod politely at the server, resembling an arrogant, beautiful peacock.
Seeing this, Jiang Dalei felt an even greater sense of unease.
Jiang Yiyi still refused to believe she had a brother with whom she shared a deep emotional bond.
Even after Jiang Dalei presented their childhood photo albums, Jiang Yiyi, though suspicious, had only partially believed. She still treated him as if he were a complete stranger.
The thought made Jiang Dalei indignant. She treated a waiter better than her own brother now; all these years of brotherhood had been in vain.
During this time, Jiang Yiyi had recalled matters of the company, their parents, elders, and even some distant relatives.
But she hadn't remembered Jiang Dalei at all.
This made him very depressed.
Jiang Dalei withdrew his gaze and, with a displeased tone, shouted into his phone, "What did you say? Speak up!"
He paid no mind to the strange glances from those around him.
The person on the other end paused. "Brother, Yu Yang has been found. However, there are two people here, and Yu Yang is still unconscious. The situation is a bit complicated..."
"Then just bring him over," Jiang Dalei commanded impatiently.
He had to reclaim his dignity as an elder brother.
He wanted to see if she would react when he brought over the person her sister liked the most.
He wanted to see if this memory-erasing treatment was targeted at the wrong person!
Today was the engagement banquet for the Ji family's young master. Logically, he and his sister should have attended alone.
However, due to his previous foolish actions, the Ji family seemed to have learned some inside information.
Although Ji Tianle hadn't invited them, the Ji family elders had directly sent invitations, even inviting the brother and sister separately.
Since he was in the wrong initially, he had to show the Ji family some respect as an apology.
The Jiang family elders had not only prepared generous gifts but also mandated the attendance of all younger members.
Jiang Dalei downed the wine in his hand in one gulp.

Wen Bai pulled Su Ying directly towards the dessert section.
Su Ying leaned against a dining table, one hand in his pocket, the other holding a drink. He watched the person beside him selecting desserts.
Several ladies nearby were whispering, glancing in their direction. Then, one woman, seemingly gathering her courage, walked over.
Su Ying caught sight of her with his peripheral vision. He subtly moved in front of Wen Bai, placed his glass on the table, picked up a piece of dessert, and placed it on Wen Bai's already nearly-full small plate. "You'll like this one."
He paused, then picked up another piece nearby and brought it to Wen Bai's lips. "This one is good too, want to try?"
Wen Bai's hands were both occupied. He opened his mouth and took a bite. The pastry was too large for him to finish in one go. Su Ying didn't seem to expect him to finish it. After Wen Bai took a bite, he moved the remaining pastry away.
Su Ying's peripheral vision caught the woman who had stopped midway and the other women who were eagerly watching. He directly put the remaining half-piece in his mouth, chewed, and swallowed. He even thoughtfully took a napkin from the table to wipe away any crumbs from Wen Bai's lips.
He casually glanced back and saw the woman had turned back, and the other women were no longer looking their way.
Wen Bai, however, hadn't noticed this small interlude, as he was currently very busy.
The system, 001, in his mind, reminded him: "The red one is the most expensive, a little to the left, yes that one is the most popular here... Above, no, the plate in front, yes this one you like... Don't miss the one in front of you, you've had it before and loved it..."
Wen Bai looked at the small plate in his hand expressionlessly. It was already full with just a few pieces.
He walked up to a waiter and held up the small, overflowing plate. "Give me a larger one."
He gestured to indicate the approximate size he needed.
The waiter had been instructed that everyone here was a distinguished guest. The Ji family had stipulated that all requests from such guests should be fulfilled.
And this distinguished guest's request was minor, so it should naturally be granted.
The waiter immediately found a rather conspicuous large plate.
Wen Bai, ignoring the stares of those around him, contentedly transferred the small plate's contents onto the larger one and continued to get more food.
At this moment, a waiter, carrying a small tray with items, looked around and walked towards Su Ying. Several mobile phones were placed on the tray.
He approached Su Ying, lowered the tray, and handed one of the phones to Su Ying. "Sir, your phone is ringing."
Su Ying initially ignored it. He took the phone, glanced at it, and paused.
He looked again at the person busy selecting desserts, took the call, and walked towards the small terrace just outside.
This was the first floor. The terrace outside was designed with a small cliff below, from which water flowed down to form a miniature waterfall. Below that was an expanse of water, creating a beautiful vista.
The terrace had a small design that provided a private space for those standing there.
People on the terrace could see the scene inside the hall. However, those inside, at a slight distance, could not clearly see what people on the terrace were doing, only vaguely that someone was there.
"Mm, are you feeling well lately?" Su Ying stood on the terrace, glanced inside towards Wen Bai's location, and continued his conversation with the person on the phone. "No need, I'm not a child anymore."
Wen Bai had already filled a large plate with an abundance of desserts and fruits and was looking around.
A nearby waiter, noticing this, subtly pointed for Wen Bai. Wen Bai then walked closer, his gaze finally falling on Su Ying. Seeing Su Ying on the phone, he found an empty table, sat down, placed the plate full of desserts down, and didn't immediately start eating.
"So much, can you finish it~" At the exact same moment the words were spoken, someone reached out to take something from Wen Bai's plate.
"Slap!" The hand was sharply slapped away by Wen Bai.
"Hey~ There's so much here, don't be so stingy," Ji Tianzong teased Wen Bai.
Seeing that the other party wasn't responding, Ji Tianzong continued, "Did you receive the gift I sent you? You should have, right? I saw you really liked it that day at the store, so I picked out a few things I thought were particularly suitable for you."
Gift? At the store?
Thinking of something, Wen Bai's face darkened for a moment. "So, Su Ying didn't give it to me? You bought it?"
"Su Ying? That doctor? What does he have to do with it..." As if suddenly remembering they lived together, Ji Tianzong's face stiffened. "No... no way, you actually wore it for him!"
Looking at Wen Bai's expression, Ji Tianzong felt like he was choking on a mouthful of old blood.
Why had he forgotten that they lived together? That should be the doctor's place, and if Wen Bai wasn't wearing it for the doctor, who else would he wear it for?
How could he have done something that benefited others? He was truly regressing with age!
As Ji Tianzong was about to say more, a man's voice called out, "Mr. Ji, so you're here. I've been looking for you."
Ji Tianzong looked up, frowned, and then without hesitation, said, "I'm leaving," and ran off in the opposite direction of the approaching man.
The man, unable to catch up as he walked quickly, was hesitant to run around here. "What, is signing a document that difficult? Am I that scary?"
Su Ying looked out at the scenery beyond the terrace. Thinking of something, the corners of his lips curled up, and his eyes were full of laughter. "It's more than that. You'll see."
Then, his tone turned somewhat helpless. "No... what do you think? Mm."
He then hung up the phone.
Turning back, Wen Bai, who should have been sitting at the table, was no longer there.
All that remained was a plate much larger than the others, piled high with desserts. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that two of each type of dessert had been taken.
