Chapter 920 To Be Honest

Jia Chengyi couldn't help but frown. The voice was all too familiar, especially from the nightmares he had while sleeping.

Everyone turned to look, and saw Lu Ming walking alone directly into the encirclement.

"Brother!" Lu Wenjie was overjoyed.

Lu Ming dotingly ruffled the back of her head. "With me here, who dares to bully you?"

"Step forward!"

A military roar!

The soldiers instinctively took a step back in unison, their faces flushed, choked with emotion, their eyes determined.

Jia Chengyi gritted his teeth and stepped forward, bowing. "Colonel Lu, what wind has blown you here?"

He secretly glared at Jia Deliang. He had actually offended someone even his own father couldn't afford to offend. The Divine Eagle commando team was on fire lately, far surpassing his Sixth Commando team.

But Lu Ming didn't pay him any mind. He walked past Jia Chengyi and straight towards Ming Zhitian, bowing respectfully. "Brother Qiong Chi, we meet again. How come you are here too?"

"What?!" Jia Chengyi and his son were utterly dumbfounded. This brat had somehow gotten involved with Lu Ming?

Ming Zhitian smiled slightly. "Just finished a game, and a dog without a leash bit someone. So, I was stopped by that dog and his lackeys, which ruined my mood."

Lu Wenjie and Ling Yi chuckled.

"You!..." Jia Deliang wanted to lash out, but Jia Chengyi shot him a look.

Lu Ming glanced at Jia Chengyi and his son, then smiled at Ming Zhitian. "It's all my fault for not taking better care of them. Seeing as they are from the military, please don't take their actions to heart, Brother Qiong Chi."

Ming Zhitian sneered. "It's not because they're from the military that I'm letting this go. It's for your sake. Otherwise, they would already be corpses."

Lu Ming felt a chill run down his spine. He believed Ming Zhitian would do as he said, having seen and heard of his methods. He was glad he arrived in time, otherwise, things could have escalated.

Jia Deliang scoffed. "You boast so much, aren't you afraid of cracking your teeth?"

Lu Ming glared at him, scaring Jia Deliang into lowering his head and behaving.

Lu Ming, filled with righteous anger, walked past Jia Chengyi and his son, then his expression turned calm as he approached Lu Wenjie and Ling Yi. "Sister, what exactly happened here?"

Lu Wenjie pushed Ling Yi forward. "Ling Yi, you tell him. Don't be afraid. He's my brother. Speak honestly, tell him the whole story. He'll uphold justice for you, unlike some people who, relying on their fathers, bend the law and tolerate wrongdoing."

"You! ... You! ..." Jia Chengyi and his son were furious but could only glare helplessly.

Ling Yi then recounted how Jia Deliang had been sending people to block her company's entrance daily, harassing her after work, repeatedly making advances on her in cafes and milk tea shops, and even finding people to prank her family to force her compliance.

"I understand." Lu Ming was furious. He turned and glared at Jia Deliang. "Is what she said true? Don't try to lie to me!"

"This is a misunderstanding... uh... not entirely a misunderstanding..." Jia Deliang tried to quibble, but upon meeting Lu Ming's murderous gaze, he immediately caved.

Jia Chengyi gritted his teeth, hardened his resolve, and slapped his son. "Slap!"

A crisp, clear sound...

He then pretended to scold, "You ungrateful brat! How dare you do something so outrageous? Do you believe I'll disown you? Hurry up and apologize to them!"

"Apologize to her?" Jia Deliang was taken aback.

Jia Chengyi gave him a meaningful look. Jia Deliang understood. "I'm sorry, I was wrong. Miss Ling Yi, please forgive me."
