Ming Zhi Tian felt something was wrong but couldn't pinpoint it.
Not long after, his suspicion was confirmed.
Wu Shang Jin Bie suddenly spoke, "Good, stop."
The crane stopped and slowly descended to the ground.
Ming Zhi Tian asked in confusion, "Immortal Master Wu Shang, we haven't reached our destination yet, have we?"
Wu Shang Jin Bie sneered, "No, we haven't. I never said I would take you to your destination. I was just giving you a ride."
Ming Zhi Tian cupped his hands, "Then I bid farewell." He and Ba Ke dismounted the crane.
Wu Shang Jin Bie did not get angry at his rudeness. "Since we've met, I'm not an unreasonable person. Give me the gauntlets you're wearing as a token of our acquaintance."
Ming Zhi Tian glanced at the cold iron gauntlets on his hands and thought, "I shouldn't flaunt my wealth, I forgot about these."
He found it amusing. "So this was your true intention? Why should I give them to you? Besides, these were left to me by my master, so I cannot give them away."
Wu Shang Jin Bie frowned. "You have a master? Whose disciple are you?"
Ming Zhi Tian replied, "I don't wish to say."
Wu Shang Jin Bie sneered slightly. "Is it that you don't wish to say, or is your master an unknown figure?"
Seeing Ming Zhi Tian remain silent, Wu Shang Jin Bie continued, "Could it be that your master is from one of the Three Sects and Nine Gates of the Five Peaks in the south?"
Ming Zhi Tian answered, "No."
Wu Shang Jin Bie asked, "Perhaps one of the Seven Sects and Ten Gates of the Five Cities in the west?"
Ming Zhi Tian shook his head, "Neither."
Wu Shang Jin Bie guessed again, "It can't be the Eight Sects and Twelve Gates of the Lan Shan Lake Sea in the north. I haven't heard of you."
Ming Zhi Tian shook his head. "My destination is the Lan Shan Lake Sea, so I'm not a disciple of any sect there."
Wu Shang Jin Bie said, "It's even less likely to be the Ten Thousand Mile Forest in the east, as they only accept female disciples."
Ming Zhi Tian replied, "Of course not."
Wu Shang Jin Bie snorted coldly. "Not from the east, west, south, or north? Hmph, you still say your master isn't an unknown figure?"
Ming Zhi Tian waved his hand. "Say whatever you wish. I'm leaving."
Wu Shang Jin Bie sneered. "Leave? Where to? I've given you a ride, and this is how you repay me? Young people these days truly lack proper conduct!"
Ming Zhi Tian sensed the danger and asked warily, "What do you want?"
Wu Shang Jin Bie said, "I offered you an easy way out, but you refused. Then you can't blame me. Today, you will give it to me, whether you want to or not!"
Ming Zhi Tian's lips curled into a smile. "What, are you going to rob me?"
Wu Shang Jin Bie unleashed a palm strike into the air! Ming Zhi Tian spat out a mouthful of blood in mid-air, sent flying over ten meters away.
Seeing this, Ba Ke ferociously lunged forward! Wu Shang Jin Bie waved his hand casually, and Ba Ke was sent flying to the ground, knocked unconscious.
In less than two breaths, Wu Shang Jin Bie sneered, "Kid, sometimes understanding your position is something you need to learn. With your insignificant cultivation, you dare to challenge me? You're overestimating yourself."
Ming Zhi Tian coughed twice. "As the leader of a sect, you engage in banditry?"
"Fwoo~"
Ming Zhi Tian was pulled to Wu Shang Jin Bie's front and had his throat gripped, a suffocating feeling slowly creeping in. "Kid, hand over everything."
The cold iron gauntlets on his hands detached unwillingly and went into Wu Shang Jin Bie's storage bag. "I'll reluctantly accept this Royal-grade artifact."
Ming Zhi Tian glared at him hatefully. "Shameless...!"
Then, a letter was found on Ming Zhi Tian. Wu Shang Jin Bie opened and read it. "Oh? You have dealings with the Medical Immortal Qiu Bu Yi? And the relationship is quite close. You also want to join my Lan Shan Lake Sea sect? You think you're worthy?"
Ming Zhi Tian watched helplessly as the envelope and the letter within turned to ash.
Just as Wu Shang Jin Bie was searching Ming Zhi Tian's storage bag, Ming Zhi Tian silently exclaimed, "Not good! It's over! Master's inheritance... Dammit..."
