Mia, Uncle Long, and the bodyguards were momentarily surprised. Mia said, "Really?"
Kuang Lang nodded, "Of course."
Mia said, "I believe you. Alright, the Spear of Long Rainbow belongs to you. Mr. Ming, is it? I hope you won't disappoint me. Do you have any other matters to attend to?"
Ming Zhitian said, "I can depart anytime."
Mia crossed her legs, looking imperious, with a regal air. "Very well. After the International Martial Artist Competition, you will return to my country with me."
Wang Guo said, "Then I'll see you at the finals."
Mia nodded. "Uncle Long, see them out."
Mia had no intention of handing over the Spear of Long Rainbow immediately. Uncle Long respectfully gestured, "Esteemed guests, please."
After Wang Guo and his group left, Uncle Long closed the door. Mia said, "Uncle Long, what do you think... his rank is?"
Uncle Long shook his head. "Please forgive my dullness, but I cannot discern his level. Either he is a peerless master, or he possesses no martial arts ability at all."
Mia hooked her index finger to her lower lip in thought. "Mr. Kuang Lang wouldn't deceive me, would he? If he did, why would he do this? Aren't the terms I offered attractive enough?"
A bodyguard standing nearby said, "Whether he has real substance or not, we'll know if we test him."
Mia lowered her hand and nodded. "Alright, Jace, it's up to you. But don't kill him, as we are in their territory after all."
Jace nodded. "Yes, Miss."
...
Wang Guo and his group checked into their booked hotel and had dinner. Ming Zhitian noticed that Wang Xixi had been observing him throughout the meal, but he didn't pay it much mind.
After dinner, Ming Zhitian returned to his private room. After washing up, he lay on the comfortable, soft bed, feigning sleep. The television was off; he didn't want to watch it.
A moment later, there was a knock on the door. Ming Zhitian slowly opened his eyes and went to answer it.
Wang Guo entered, holding two bottles of vintage Roman red wine, with two high-end wine glasses crossed between them, smiling. "Brother Zhi Tian, my sister kept stopping me at the dinner table, and we didn't drink enough. Come, let's brothers have a good drink."
Ming Zhitian smiled slightly. "Good."
The two lay on the sofa, poured the red wine, and then clinked glasses. The crisp sound of colliding wine glasses instantly elevated the atmosphere.
They both drank it down and then poured another glass, swirling it gently, savoring it, and then drinking it down again.
Wang Guo intended to get Ming Zhitian drunk. He brought two more opened bottles from the doorway. It seemed he had brought a whole case of red wine to find Ming Zhitian.
However, he eventually knew that martial artists couldn't get drunk, unless they were ordinary people.
Wang Guo looked like he was about to burst. Ming Zhitian saw this. "Wang Guo, is there something you're hiding from me?"
Wang Guo scratched his head. "No... no, there isn't. How could there be..."
Ming Zhitian said, "We're not outsiders to each other, we're good brothers. Tell me, is there anything you need my help with?"
Wang Guo exhaled. "Alright, I want to ask you, what do you think of my sister?"
Ming Zhitian took a sip of red wine. "Wang Xixi? What do you mean?"
Wang Guo said, "Her character, what do you think of my sister's character?"
Ming Zhitian thought for a moment. "How should I put it? I've only met her a few times. My impression is that she's a relatively well-behaved and shy girl."
Wang Guo nodded. "Since we know each other well, then... do you have any intentions?"
Ming Zhitian frowned. "What intentions?"
Wang Guo smirked. "Are you interested in my sister?"
"Pfft..." Ming Zhitian, who had just taken a drink, sprayed red wine all over Wang Guo.
"Is it that serious? Such a big reaction." Wang Guo wiped the wine from his face.
