"You... you know me?"
The person being apprehended stared at Lin Xiao in astonishment, utterly bewildered. He hadn't thought he'd been hiding so well, so how could this guy know he was following him?
"Isn't that obvious? You've been tailing me since I started heading home, and you were loitering around my place while I was eating. If I didn't know, wouldn't that make me a pretty incompetent North Frontier Dragon King?" Lin Xiao retorted with annoyance.
"North Frontier, Dragon King?"
The man faltered for a moment upon hearing those words, his face then contorting with sheer terror. The North Frontier Dragon King?!
Was this someone he could afford to provoke?!
"Yeah, what's so surprising about that?" Lin Xiao tapped him lightly at random points on his body.
After these few taps, the man felt his body go limp, as if all his strength had vanished.
He felt an indescribable discomfort.
How could he have run into the Dragon King? This was a War God!
What would happen to him next?
He wanted to beg for mercy, but unfortunately, Lin Xiao had already deprived him of his ability to speak earlier to prevent him from disturbing the children.
"Uncle is so amazing! No wonder you said bad guys would appear later," Luo Bing exclaimed happily.
"So? Do you feel pretty amazing right now?" Lin Xiao ruffled the little guy's head.
"Yes! I was super amazing just now! I even kicked this person twice!" Luo Bing declared, puffing out his chest proudly.
"Amazing!"
This little rascal! So he actually knew himself!
The man, now restrained by Lin Xiao, glared at Luo Bing. He now knew for sure that Lin Xiao had actually dared to let a child practice on him!
And what's more, the child had actually succeeded in practicing on him.
How humiliating!
Being captured by the Dragon King was one thing, not exactly shameful.
But to be toyed with by this little kid!
That was what he found most humiliating!
"Don't worry, don't be too anxious. I won't convict you of any overly outrageous crimes. We'll just follow the proper procedure," Lin Xiao said. He then made a phone call and dumped the man at the entrance of the residential complex.
He wasn't going to drag the guy around. He'd subdued him and let someone else come to pick him up.
Afterward, he happily led Luo Bing back home.
Upon returning home, as soon as Xun'er saw Luo Bing carrying a large bag of snacks, she rushed over, her eyes sparkling like little stars.
Fortunately, Lin Xiao quickly scooped up his precious daughter, preventing her from tripping as she ran so fast.
After all, Xun'er was only a little over three years old and not yet adept at climbing stairs. He couldn't help but worry at that speed.
"Daddy! Snacks!"
The child, spotting the large bag of snacks, waved her hands excitedly.
"Mhm, there's plenty for you, don't rush," Lin Xiao soothed her before putting Xun'er down.
"Buying these snacks for the children again, it's not good for them," Luo Qinghan said with a frown. Although she said this, she didn't stop him.
Lin Xiao replied, "It's fine. She doesn't eat them every day. A little bit as a treat is okay. Didn't we all grow up like this?"
He had also loved eating such things as a child – spicy strips, pickled radishes, all sorts of snacks.
He'd eat whatever had a strong flavor.
He still remembered the crowds at the school's convenience store.
