"We're here!"
The three of them got off the high-speed train. Uncle Seven was clearly the most excited. As soon as he stepped off the platform, he looked around with great enthusiasm.
"Uncle Seven, calm down," Ming Yi said, walking beside him. "You're an elder, after all."
"You never treat me like an elder usually," Uncle Seven scoffed, but he did rein in his excitement. He had a certain status, and getting overly excited just getting off a train would make him seem ridiculous if he saw something truly amazing later.
"Come, I'll take you to your accommodation first, and you can get familiar with the area around where you'll be staying," Ming Yi said. He looked around for a bit and finally found the car.
The car had been arranged to be parked there in advance.
"You bought a car too?" Uncle Seven asked curiously, looking at the rather distinctive SUV.
"What's so strange about buying a car? I recall quite a few cars parked in the lot outside our house?" Ming Yi replied, puzzled.
"I've always wanted to buy one, but I don't have a license, so I can't..." Uncle Seven chuckled. "The first thing I'm doing when I get out this time is getting a driver's license!"
"Alright, I'll help you sign up," Ming Yi said.
When they arrived at their accommodation, this time, it wasn't just Uncle Seven who was surprised; even Shi Yiling found it peculiar.
The place he arranged for Uncle Seven was in the same residential area as Lin Xiao, to be precise, the villa district, and not far from Lin Xiao's villa.
More accurately, this was a place Lin Xiao had previously arranged for his brothers to live together. Worried that Luo Qinghan and her parents might find it inconvenient, he simply acquired another villa next door.
He wasn't short of money, after all.
"This is... your villa?" Uncle Seven looked up at the villa. To call it grand would be an exaggeration, certainly not as grand as the large villas they had built on their mountains back in the countryside. To call it small wouldn't be accurate either. He could only shake his head, "These villas are only considered expensive on TV; they don't look that impressive."
Only he would say such a thing.
The housing prices in this area were considered high even in Shashi, and each villa was quite expensive.
However, there was no comparison to self-built houses in the countryside.
Shi Yiling glanced at Uncle Seven, puzzled. Why were they not impressive? She wasn't someone who only focused on her studies during her time in Shashi. For instance, her roommate had recently mentioned how expensive the housing prices were here, much higher than in other parts of Shashi, and today, she found herself here.
"Indeed, the place is too small to compare with home," Ming Yi somewhat agreed. "Anyway, this is just a temporary stop. Uncle Seven can stay here, no rent needed. I'll just inform Brother Xiao."
He had already informed Brother Xiao before coming back, and Brother Xiao had naturally agreed.
"Ah, I'll make do," Uncle Seven said, picking up his two large bags and walking in.
"Make do?"
A few residents of the villa district, returning home, happened to overhear Uncle Seven's words. They looked at him with peculiar expressions, especially considering Uncle Seven was wearing a dark gray, flashy suit and carrying two snakeskin bags. He looked like someone whose entire wardrobe combined wouldn't be enough to clean the rooms.
