Chapter 74: Chapter 74
Mart had heard footsteps approaching, as he had his demonic perception slightly activated, yet he did not for a second interrupt the transfer of demonic energy to the wands, as he needed the wands to recognize him as their user without the need for physical contact.
When the footsteps were close to the door Mart said to Iristel in a calm voice:
-Iristel, open the door, please.
-Okay, I will. -Iristel answered and opened the door a few seconds later.
-Mart Sevec, you must come with us, we know you are corroded by the corrosive energy, get up and don’t keep us waiting. -A hissing student conspirator, whose appearance resembled that of a humanoid insect whose jaws were similar to those of a mantis and whose eyes resembled those of a bee, ordered.
-Are you ordering me? Do you think anything will happen to me? I am a Sevec, at best, they will only argue that I drank a contaminated potion. -Mart indicated without even looking at them.
-Come out quickly, you cowardly bastard, you’re just a pathetic man who hides under his family’s name. -A student with purple skin, eyes that were completely black and dull black hair indicated.
The humanoid insect-like student looked at Iristel.
Bang!
A blade shattered one of the eyes of the student who dared to think about attacking Iristel.
-You’re a pretty pathetic demon, cause trouble and now you want to come and tangle with me, I can overlook that. But, how dare you look hostile, at my partner? Go away now, I don’t want to dirty my room with your blood," Mart said in a calm voice, still infusing demonic energy into the wands.
-You son of a bitch, you’ll pay for this. The insect-like demon angrily manifested while taking out a blue potion from one of the pockets of his uniform, which seemed familiar to Mart.
Bang! Bang!
Two blades pierced cleanly through the head of the humanoid insect-like demon, who fell to the ground causing a dry sound.
[Demon god energy acquired: +0.5 on all attributes]
"So that’s what I get from a rank 2, not bad, though it’s not much either," -Mart thought as he saw the notification.
-Don’t move or I’ll make you die horribly. -Mart indicated to the other student conspirator who had fallen down sitting in the hallway as Mart’s blades pierced her ally’s head.
A few minutes later Mart began to store the demon wands in his demon ring.
"That’s 40 demon wands now, I don’t think I have much time. I’ll sort this out first," thought Mart as he stood up and walked over to the body of the demon he had killed to take the vial. "System, can you analyze it?", Mart asked in his mind.
[Substance of biological origin. Host level insufficient to do a full analysis]
"I figured as much," thought Mart who proceeded to put the potion away in his demonic bag, after which he looked at the other demon lying on the ground, and she began to beg him in tears.
-Don’t kill me, please, I....
Bang!
[Acquired demon god energy: +0.4 in all attributes]
"Apparently she was weaker," Mart thought after seeing the notification at the same time he began to search through the pockets of the demon he had just killed, and found no other blue potion.
"Apparently even the conspirators considered her weak," Mart thought as he found nothing important in the pockets of the demon’s body uniform. Then he got up and saw some frightened students who were watching him, he gave them no importance, dragged the body of the humanoid insect-like demon that was in his room and left it in the hallway, finally going back inside.
-Aren’t you afraid that something will happen to them? -asked Iristel, who was sitting on the edge of the bed with the scarlet dagger Mart had given her.
-No, I have an informant among them. I don’t think it will be easy for them to get close. -Mart said, referring to Selenia. -Besides, if I go out recklessly looking for them I’ll only cause us all to end up dead.
"Yes, this won’t be so easy, as I presume something happened to Headmaster Persec during this attack. Just ten more demon wands," Mart thought as he sat down, and first took out 4 spiral tipped metal blades to make them float next to the other six, after that he took out ten more demon wands and started infusing them with his demonic energy.

Control room of the demonic barrier of the Academy:
-p...s...k...m....
The professor’s body was so full of wounds that he was barely recognizable, now only his head remained attached to the trunk and he was in so much pain that he could barely articulate words.
-Mmm, you killed 14 demons, don’t you think you should feel as if you had died 14 times? -Kariz asked with a hint of malice in her voice, who was sitting on one of the chairs that used to be in front of one of the metal tables that were around the central pillar of the control room.
Kariz looked in the direction in which the entrance to the academy was located, stood up and smoothed her beautiful gothic gown with her hands to keep her appearance impeccable.
"Apparently there are intruders in the academy," thought Kariz as she waved her hand rolling Professor Delox’s head on the floor of the barrier control room, then went to look for the intruders, but just as she reached the hallway, she heard footsteps approaching.
-Old Kariz.
Kariz showed a fierce look when she heard her being called old. A man with blond hair, blue eyes and white skin, he wore a white wizard robe with red borders, he was Professor Arxier Desten, who taught the third year students of class A, despite being in the middle of the sixth rank, he came walking through the white corridors.
-What are you doing here, Professor Desten? Shouldn’t you be supporting your classmates? -asked Kariz who was trying to contain his anger.
Professor Arxier Desten clicked his tongue three times, he took off his wizard robe revealing a black V-neck sweater, black pants, black shoes and later his hair acquired a light red tone, his eyes became red in the iris and black in the sclera area, his pupils remained black, his white skin became pale, then he wielded a beautiful crimson and black sword; as his appearance changed the professor increased to the initial point of the seventh rank.
-You are a remnant. -Kariz said in a firm voice that did not hide his displeasure.
Professor Arxier Desten clicked his tongue three times and then said with a calm tone that concealed his intentions:
-Talvez, but I am only of middle lineage, only with the power of corrosion I could reach this rank, but it is only temporary, although I think it is enough.
-Why are you telling me that? -asked Kariz while activating his demonic perception to check if there were more enemies.
-Don’t worry, I would never abuse my power to take advantage of an old woman. -Professor Desten said and then clicked three times.
"I’ll kill you now, I know you just want to make time," Kariz showed her white teeth between which her two cute white fangs stood out. After that she created a large demonic diagram on her back.
Professor Desten infused his demonic and corrosive energy into his sword and jumped towards Professor Kariz.
Bang!

Bang!
Bang!
There were multiple explosions in one of the courtyards near the buildings in which the classes were taught, explosive flames that burned to the ground, were coming out of a black staff that had at its top an orange and bright fire elemental gem, who wielded the staff was one of the intruders wearing black robes and hoods, who in turn was fighting against a teacher who handled the earth element with ease. The professor wore a white mask that covered from his nose to his chin, on each side of his forehead there were thin and long gray horns, he wore a white wizard robe with the emblem of the Danteriar Academy on the right side of his chest and carried a grayish staff that had a purple gem on its upper end, behind him there were two frightened first year students, they were the reason why Professor Mertien was at a disadvantage.
-Come on, demon, keep acting like a human, maybe you will be reborn as a human in the afterlife. -Said the intruder, attacking again.
Professor Mertien created stone bullets infused with demonic energy to contain some of the intruder’s fiery attacks and at the same time he built walls of compact earth that exploded into pieces every time the flames hit them.
-I’m... I’m sorry professor. -Said one of the students who despite being scared understood what was happening.
-Just stay back. -said Professor Mertien with a firm determination, without letting his guard down even for an instant.
