Chapter 72

Chapter 72: Chapter 72

Not even five minutes passed when the internal chaos took over the academy, the teachers had efficiently divided the territory of the Academy and did not hesitate to follow the orders given by the director Persec.

A student with purple skin and blue horns, laughed as he walked with his two friends in the middle of the corridors.

-What an idea! We won’t make it to S class like that, ha ha ha ha! Said a grayish-skinned demon whose hair looked like black ribbons stretching down to his waist.

-But Jemsit is right, we must make an effort, next year will be our last year at the Academy. -Added another demon who only had one eye and whose skin was white, he was a distant descendant of the demonic cyclopes.

Jemsit laughed and just as he was about to speak to them....

Bang!

Jemsit’s head exploded and blackish blood covered the faces of Jemsit’s two friends, who were in shock as were the rest of the students who witnessed the scene.

A few seconds later when the mind of the young demons managed to understand what they had seen, there were screams everywhere, confusion, but there was no time to talk, one of the conspirators who was walking with his friends had lost his head when a purple fireball hit him and the author was a professor with red skin and black horns who was walking with a wand in his hand, He was wearing a black wizard’s robe at the time, and with his height he made the students who saw the scene tremble and thought their end had come, but Professor Derec Mesef kept on walking without stopping, as he still had to search for and eradicate the rest of the conspirators he would find.

On another side of the Academy a huge fireball was cut in two and its energy was dispersed as if they were weak sparks from a match, by a professor who on his back had wings similar to those of dragons. The wings of the professor were of a dark green color, who wore an elegant gray suit, and who in his hands wielded two sabers covered by concentrated demonic energy; that professor whose expression seemed always kind, was now angry, he was Orcelt Demit, a demonic swordsman at the midpoint of the sixth rank, he was facing two conspirators of the fourth year S class, so fire magic was the weapon used by the conspirators to try to restrain him, until they felt their strength was running out. Orcelt was patient enough to approach them little by little, forcing them to use demonic energy until exhaustion, the instant Orcelt sensed fatigue in the two conspirators he was relentless, and in one leap he decapitated them, before they could cast any sinister spells.

Events such as the above began to plunge the Academy into chaos, there were students hiding, other students and teachers clashing, and there were student conspirators following orders to murder all Academy students who possessed or had demonstrated talent and potential.

The sky was getting darker and darker, and there were explosions from spells, blows and swords. Not all students were willing to give up their lives, many had faced the tests in the Marrac Mountain and had lost their fear of combat and suddenness, but that only caused more chaos, because no one knew for sure who were the enemies and who were the allies, only the teachers who received the list and who were rushing with the greatest possible diligence to eradicate each conspirator.

The main reason Principal Persec did not inform all the teachers and students was because of Mart’s warning that there were teachers, maids and servants conspiring, but he had not been able to discover their identities for certain.

••••

In his room, Mart was infusing his demonic energy into the third set of 10 level 5 demonic wands, at his sides were two empty vials that a few minutes before had contained the level 4 demonic energy potions, he had bought several dozen demonic energy potions and the regenerative type, he had almost exhausted his money, out of the 1 000 000 gold coins he only had 54 009 gold coins left.

Mart was also using his higher level demonic energy absorption technique, he didn’t want to lose a single point of his demonic energy reserves, he was being as cautious as he could.

When he finished infusing the demonic wands with demonic energy, he stored them in the demonic ring he wore on his index finger.

Mart sighed, as he thought and looked at the ceiling of his room, "Only 30 level 5 demon wands, I need more time. But, I can’t let my guard down."

Mart took out ten spiral tipped metal blades, and floated them over himself, and after that he took out a demonic energy potion from his demonic bag, drank it and took out from one of the bags near him, ten more demonic wands.

Iristel, who had woken up the instant Mart was floating the metal blades, went to the bathroom to dress appropriately because she was listening to the chaos coming from outside.

-What’s going on? -Iristel asked as she came out of the bathroom dressed in a beautiful casual dress that fit her figure just right without being too revealing, the dark blue dress with black trim had been designed by Ms. Loretta.

-There is demonic energy in that dress. -She looked at Iristel sideways for a few seconds and then immediately returned her attention to the 10 demonic wands.

-Yes, Mrs. Loretta told me that as long as the dress only suffers some scratches, it will repair itself, and the spells they applied in its making, eliminate the impurities of the dress. -Iristel indicated while cautiously leaning out of the window.

"It justifies the price of the dresses. But then, what kind of suit or dress is her favorite creation? It must be something extraordinary," thought Mart, who soon perceived footsteps approaching the door of the room.

••••

Outside all was chaos and confusion. There was no place in the Academy where there was no death. The teachers had killed the conspirators on the spot. Thus, in the corridors, in the dormitories, in the academy parks, and on the training grounds there had been one-sided assassinations and a few inconsequential battles.

Professor Drain Smart, who was instructing the sophomore S class, wore his typical black clothing, black pants, black turtleneck sweater and a black trench coat, his black hair and black horns, his pale white skin, all looked scary to the two conspirators wearing the academy uniform who were only, one at the peak of second rank, his body was covered by black fur and he had three blue-green eyes; and the other, at the starting point of the third rank, which had a yellowish skin, and small orange horns.

The stronger of the two conspiratorial demons who at that moment were holding a sword in his hands said to the other in a trembling voice:

-Drink that, or you want to die uselessly.

Professor Drain did not intend to wait for them to act, so he created 6 spears of pure demonic energy which were directed towards the two conspirators, but the third rank demon used all his demonic energy just to increase his defense and throw himself against the spears, and the spears were embedded in his body causing him a slow death that allowed him to watch as his partner drank the dark blue potion they had been given.

After drinking the blue potion, the student conspirator’s rank went from the peak of the second rank to the peak of the fourth rank. With his energy increased and with anger in his eyes the student waved his wand and dozens of earth spears covered by demonic energy erupted from the ground in the direction of Professor Drain who waved his demonic wand creating spears of demonic energy with twice the amount of the conspirator student’s earth spears.

Bang! Bang!...

The bursts when the spears of different natures collided were not long in coming, but as the number of spears of Professor Drain was superior and his spears contained more power, the conspirator’s attack was overcome and after that his body was pierced by dozens of spears, but even though the conspirator student was vomiting black colored blood, he refused to die and suddenly one of his arms began to grow disproportionately and the fur over the arm fell to the ground, one of its eyes increased its size exaggeratedly, the conspirator student’s stomach began to bulge and its power range seemed to be increasing despite the horrible metamorphosis that was beginning but was stopped by a powerful energy spear that pierced the huge eye and brains of the conspirator demon that had infiltrated as a student.

"This looks worse than we thought," was the thought that came to Professor Drain’s mind after seeing that metamorphosis that reminded him of the abominable beings that killed the students on Marrac Mountain.

----

In the rest of the academy other teachers were also experiencing similar experiences to Professor Drain’s, among whom the teachers who read the reports of what happened on Marrac Mountain got an idea of what was going on.
