Chapter 64

Chapter 64: Chapter 64

Mart took the demon ring, and checked the contents, there were 299 791 gold coins, 2 small wooden boxes with the dark shadow pills and a vial with a dark blue substance that sometimes glowed.

"What is this?" wondered Mart as he looked at the alleged blue elixir of unknown origin.

-I thought you liked it, I know why you didn’t send Iris. -Menna said in a relaxed tone without taking her eyes off the magazine.

-What did the manager tell you? -Mart asked, turning his attention from the ring to Menna.

-That terrifying demon said that unfortunately they only had two level 5 dark shadow pills, but he told me that with the blue potion he gave you, you will be able to obtain the benefits of the pills in a fast, stable and efficient way; he seems to like you a lot.

"A scary demon you say; shouldn’t a demon be scary in the first place," Mart thought wryly as he recalled the epithet Menna gave the herbalist store keeper; after that trivial thought Mart took out the dark blue elixir, he used his enhanced demonic perception with the energy sensitivity attribute, but still he could not sense anything, while Mart was doing that Menna had started to observe what Mart was doing because she was curious, Mart despite not having discovered anything by himself did not resign himself and requested the system in his mind, "System, analyze the content of this elixir."

[Demonic system analyzing...]

[Substance of biological origin. Host level is insufficient to make a complete analysis].

"Yes, worthy of a demon. I think that demon wants to make me a mini-boss to help him achieve his plans, although it is undeniable that Mart’s reputation is suitable for a mini-boss," Mart thought as he put the elixir away again. But a sudden thought came to his mind, "wasn’t the blood of the chimeras a bluish black color? And this substance has a dark blue color, it would be best if they were unrelated, otherwise there will only be more chaos in the future."

Mart stood up, took out 300 gold coins from the ring and handed them to Menna and said in a serene tone:

-I am grateful. If you need any favor in the future I will help you as long as it is within my means.

Menna put the coins in a bag she was carrying and stood up, walked to the door, smiled and asked Mart with her confident and enthusiastic tone:

-You find me attractive don’t you?

Mart sat down in the desk chair, looked her in the eyes and only replied.

-Yes, I find you very attractive.

Menna observed Mart’s calm attitude, and just as she opened the door she added:

-What a fool you are. Look me up if you have another assignment, you pay so well, maybe I can stop being a maid.

Mart nodded, and soon after the door to the room closed.

At the Academy everything seemed to be proceeding normally, the students going about their own business, not suspecting that the conspirators who made the attempt on the sophomores who went to Marrac Mountain were among them.

Classes, for the last school day of the week, had just finished, and Mart was walking through the hallways of the academic facilities where the third-year students’ classrooms were located.

"Wow, that’s really nice."

"It had been a long time since I’d seen him up close."

"Look at that bastard, he’s sure coming to see some girl."

As usual the rumors were varied, but there were virtually no positive rumors, unless you counted compliments on his looks as the only good comments he got.

Mart arrived at the classroom of the third year S class, and saw Emy writing on some sheets of paper with two students accompanying her; One of the students was a female demon with a slender body, black hair, white and pale skin somewhat bruised as if she lacked good blood circulation and her eyes were a very dark red color, she was a vampiric demon; the other was a yellowish skinned student with small red horns on his head, he was somewhat short in stature, but still he was a strength demon.

Force demons were a demon race characterized by their great physical strength that made them warriors, Mart knew this because the Sevec lineage was known as the pinnacle of the force demon race.

Many students from the third year S class turned their gazes towards Mart, but he ignored them and greeted Emy with a wave of his hand.

She was a little surprised to see him, and placed the pen she was writing with on the desk on which the sheets of paper lay.

-I’ll be right back. -Emy said to her classmates and walked towards Mart.

When she was close Mart smiled, came up to her and wrapped his arms around Emy’s waist and hugged her, lifting her up a little. She blushed and somewhat nervously and excitedly asked him:

-What are you doing?

-I came to make sure my librarian was okay; you left the front desk in charge of a student who looks at me in a way that causes quite a shiver.

Emy thought the comment was funny, but she felt her heartbeat going so fast she could barely think.

[Touching a pure young woman: reward]

[Lust trait activated]

[Temporal Attribute activated: Charm +20]

Mart smiled as he watched Emy’s reactions which was usually dull and somber, he approached her and whispered in her ear:

-I’ll wait for you tomorrow at the entrance of the Academy, in the 1 hour after sunrise.

After those words Mart walked away and the rumors increased, but he took no notice of them, he took out a catalog of demonic items and began to evaluate the price of those at level 4 and above level 4. Mart walked around for a while until he approached a bench that was near the library and began to look closely at the prices of the items he considered useful.

"Level 5 demonic wand (2500 gold coins)."

"Level 5 demonic energy potions (800 gold coins)"

"Level 5 demonic stones (700 gold coins)"

"Wow why does everything increase exponentially with each rank, but nothing is as useful as the dark shadow pill or the demonic advancement potions that the Academy gave me that I haven’t used yet; by the way, what’s the price of the advancement potions," Mart looked at the price tag.

"Level 5 advancement demonic potions (75 000 gold coins)."

"That’s a high price and they don’t even assure you the possibility of advancement, if not for how dangerous and corrosive the dark shadow pills are to the rest of the demons, they would be a priceless item," Mart thought as he closed the catalog, then headed towards the restricted library.
