Chapter 376 Agree

After the two sat down, the boss enthusiastically handed them the menu. Xiao Feng, like a gentleman, passed the menu to Tang Tang.

Tang Tang glanced at it, and following the menu, ordered all the different ways of preparing Liang Fen.

Xiao Feng smiled at her. Since Liang Fen was just a snack and wouldn't fill her up too much, he wasn't worried even if she ordered it all. They could always pack it to eat as a late-night snack.

Looking at Tang Tang's expectant face, Xiao Feng couldn't think of anything cuter than Tang Tang at that moment.

When the food was served, Tang Tang was initially a little reserved. Xiao Feng, abandoning the table manners of high society, immediately dug in with his chopsticks. Seeing this, Tang Tang didn't hold back either.

A young lady from a scholarly background, known for her good upbringing, and a powerful chairman, disregarding the eyes of others, happily played a food-grabbing game in a small restaurant within this grand building.

Liang Fen was soft in texture, and a little force with the chopsticks would easily break it. The two had to be wary of each other while quickly trying to get the Liang Fen into their mouths, all while ensuring it wouldn't break. It took quite some effort.

Even though they had eaten far more than their usual meal portions, Tang Tang still found it enjoyable and played with Xiao Feng until the very end without giving up.

They had initially worried about having too much food and needing to pack it back to the B&B, but they had no idea that they had unknowingly swept clean everything edible on the table. Looking at the empty plates, they both burst into laughter, only then realizing their stomachs were quite full.

"How about it? Do you still have the energy for a walk?" Xiao Feng invited.

"How could I not? You underestimate me," Xiao Feng had initially worried that Tang Tang would be tired after eating so much, but to his surprise, Tang Tang didn't feel that way at all.

Although it was already evening when they arrived, they were filled with curiosity about the city. The two left the small restaurant. Tang Tang looked up at the sky, dotted with countless stars.

"So there are so many stars in the sky," Tang Tang exclaimed. Xiao Feng followed her gaze and looked up. It was no wonder Tang Tang was so amazed. The exhaust fumes from factories in developed cities had long since changed the color of the sky.

At night, the city was brightly lit and the traffic flowed endlessly. The difficulty of seeing a single star was comparable to the difficulty of seeing a clear blue sky during the day.

But here, in this leisurely city, a casual glance upwards at night revealed a sky full of stars. It must be almost as brilliant as the starlight in the Arctic.

Tang Tang mused. She had never been to the Arctic, and this was the first time she had seen so many stars.

She had studied abroad and traveled to many places, but no sky had ever captivated her as much as this one, making it impossible for her to look away.

Xiao Feng quietly took her hand and led her towards the sea. Tang Tang did not resist, obediently allowing him to hold her hand. Every couple of steps, she would look up at the stars. With Xiao Feng holding her, she didn't have to worry about anything.

She was immersed in the beauty of the starry sky, while Xiao Feng was immersed in the softness in his hand. They had touched before, but this was the first time he had held her hand like this.

Her hand was delicate, just as described in books, like the fingers of women in ancient times. Her soft hands felt like a small marshmallow when he held them, smooth and soft, but he dared not use much force.

When they reached the seaside, Tang Tang was drawn by the sound of the waves. Unknowingly, she had walked from the city to the shore. The waves were within arm's reach, and the sea and sky merged into one.

The sight of the disappearing stars was immediately followed by the endlessly surging waves. The moon used the sea as a mirror and the stars as decorations. Water and sky were one, and nothing could be more tranquil than this.

A gust of sea breeze blew, and Tang Tang felt a little cold. She pulled at her clothes and only then realized her left hand was still being held by Xiao Feng. She felt a little nervous, losing her earlier composure, but she did not pull away.

Pretending not to notice, Xiao Feng sensed her unease but had no intention of letting go. Perhaps this was the opportunity he had been waiting for.

He pulled Tang Tang a few steps forward. "Do you know that Lijiang in Dali is also called the 'City of Encounters'?"

Tang Tang shook her head, pretending to look at the sea. "Legend has it that if you are single or heartbroken and come here, you will definitely find your love."

"Do you believe that? It's just what people say." Hearing this, Tang Tang finally turned her head away from the sea.

"I don't believe it, because I already found my love before coming here." As he spoke, he tightened his grip on Tang Tang's hand, and her face turned even redder.

Xiao Feng slowed his pace. It would be difficult to break free now. Since she hadn't refused earlier, he wouldn't give her the chance now. To Xiao Feng's surprise, Tang Tang didn't struggle and just let him hold her hand.

He looked at Tang Tang. She merely lowered her head shyly, unwilling to say a word. Xiao Feng turned to face her. "Will you be my girlfriend? You don't need to worry about what your parents say, or what anyone else thinks. I'm only asking you, will you be my girlfriend?"

Tang Tang hesitated for a moment, then nodded. Xiao Feng happily pulled her closer and hugged her tightly. He was actually much more excited than this, but to avoid scaring Tang Tang, he simply held her for a moment.

Tang Tang slowly reached out her hands and embraced his broad shoulders. Xiao Feng's shoulders were particularly wide, giving her a sense of infinite security.

He mumbled softly, "But if I agree, I was your fiancée before, and now I'm just your girlfriend. Am I at a disadvantage?"

Xiao Feng looked at her in confusion and let her go slightly. "Fiancée?"

"Aren't we?"

"Yes, of course." Xiao Feng couldn't possibly say no to this question. But he was a little confused. "If you want, I can have the company organize a press conference tomorrow to announce it. But I think it's better if we announce it ourselves, in person. After all, the male and female leads aren't present, so saying it like this is a bit..."

"Announce? Wasn't it already announced?" Tang Tang was confused.

"Announce what?"

"My mother told me that both families had arranged our engagement. We were already engaged when I returned to the country." Tang Tang didn't understand what was happening.

Xiao Feng smiled. "So you disliked me so much before because of this."

"What exactly is going on?"
