Chapter 153 The True Face

Slowly arriving on the second floor, Su Li saw Ding Xi standing in the center from afar.

Ding Xi had specially worn a sequined dress today, which sparkled under the mall lights, making her look incredibly dazzling.

Su Li squeezed her hands, her thoughts uncontrollably surfacing, a hint of malice gradually appearing in her eyes.

Meanwhile, Ding Xi sat lazily in a chair, ignoring all the surrounding gazes, holding a coconut drink.

She had heard that Sheng Chenjin would be at this mall for a business negotiation today, so she had dressed up early, determined to see Sheng Chenjin!

Regarding the incident at the banquet last time, Ding Xi had heard many people, including Madam Ding, tell her not to be so persistent. But she stubbornly refused to let go.

She had liked Sheng Chenjin for so many years; why should she have to let go of this feeling just because Shi Xinxin appeared?

Ding Xi would never be so foolish! She absolutely would not give up.

The moment she thought of Shi Xinxin, Ding Xi’s mood immediately soured. She sat up slightly, recalling the information she had gathered, and pursed her lips.

She had initially thought that woman was just an unremarkable companion, and that she could easily drive her out of the capital with a few tricks. But Ding Xi never expected that she would actually be the young and promising CEO of CL, Shi Xinxin, whom her father often mentioned recently.

This made Ding Xi’s already dissatisfied and unbalanced feelings even worse!

This reality constantly reminded her of the gap between herself and Shi Xinxin, and clearly exposed the distance between them and Sheng Chenjin.

Ding Xi refused to accept this fact. One day, she would make Sheng Chenjin change his mind!

As if filled with immense courage, Ding Xi felt much better and took an elegant sip of her coconut drink.

Just then, a woman’s voice came from beside her: "Miss Ding, long time no see."

Ding Xi opened her eyes slightly and saw Su Li, surprised for a moment. "Su Li?"

She quickly frowned. "What are you doing here? What do you want with me?"

Su Li understood. Ding Xi was probably still bothered by their past issues, which was why her expression was so unpleasant.

However…

A smile curved Su Li’s lips. "Miss Ding, I didn't come to see you for anything else. I just want to chat with you for a bit."

Ding Xi couldn’t be bothered. "I don't want to chat with you. Please leave."

Su Li wasn’t in a hurry. She said leisurely, "What if I want to chat about Shi Xinxin?"

Ding Xi’s previously lazy expression instantly turned serious. Upon closer inspection, a visible hint of disgust could be seen on her face.

She said in a low voice, "What do you want to say? Just say it directly."

Su Li’s smile widened. She said slowly, "Actually, Miss Ding, you don’t know this, but Shi Xinxin and I are half-sisters."

As expected, Ding Xi shot up from her chair, extremely surprised. "What did you say!"

It was normal that Ding Xi didn't know about this. When Shi Xinxin was still part of the Su family, no one in the Su family acknowledged her existence.

Therefore, the outside world had never known that the Su family had another daughter, only knowing of Su Li.

Su Li shook her head at her. "Miss Ding, I'm telling you this in secret, so you need to be careful."

Ding Xi glanced at the surrounding gazes, calmed herself, and sat down, her face still showing unconcealed shock. "I understand. Continue."

"The reason why I became President Sheng's fiancée before was also because of Shi Xinxin," Su Li sighed.

Ding Xi’s eyes widened. She looked at her. "What do you mean by that?"

"Actually, Shi Xinxin and President Sheng had an affair five years ago," Su Li said with a barely perceptible smile, feigning regret.

Ding Xi slowly tightened her grip on the cup, her slightly trembling fingertips indicating her rapid heartbeat and the surge of anger in her heart.

Su Li was satisfied with her reaction. "Shi Xinxin cheated on President Sheng back then and went abroad with her lover. As her closest relative, I had no choice but to agree to fulfill the engagement with President Sheng. So, you see, I was also helpless and forced."

The implication was that the mastermind behind all these schemes was the vicious Shi Xinxin!

Ding Xi believed it to be so. Although the current evidence wasn’t enough to pinpoint Shi Xinxin, her intense jealousy drove her to think of the worst-case scenario!

"Then why didn't you tell Chenjin the truth back then? Why didn't you let him recognize that wretched woman's true face earlier!"

Ding Xi gritted her teeth, wishing she could rush over right now and tear Shi Xinxin’s face off!

Su Li feigned reluctance. "Xinxin is my sister after all. Blood is thicker than water. No matter what, I would never let her be in such a dangerous situation."

Ding Xi looked up, her eyes filled with resentment, staring at her. "Then why are you looking for me today? Isn't it because you want me to help you get rid of Shi Xinxin?"

Su Li was taken aback. It seemed this arrogant and domineering young lady wasn't completely foolish and could barely guess her intentions.

But how could Su Li be content with such a small goal? What she wanted was something that Ding Xi, who had never experienced the harshness of society, couldn't possibly imagine!

Su Li smiled faintly. "You're right. I want to join forces with you to expose Shi Xinxin's true colors."

"She returned to the country this time without regard for sisterly affection, determined to bankrupt my company. If I had known it would come to this, I shouldn't have let her go back then," Su Li said with feigned heartache.

A glint flashed in Ding Xi's eyes. "You're doing the right thing. Someone as wicked as her shouldn't be allowed to live in this world. She should be ruined and utterly defeated!"

Ding Xi already had an image in her mind. The moment she imagined Sheng Chenjin discovering Shi Xinxin's true nature, an uncontrollable smile spread across her face.

"Then tell me, what do I need to do to expose Shi Xinxin's true face?"

Su Li casually glanced around and said in a low voice, "It's very simple."

She slowly leaned in and whispered her plan to Ding Xi.

At the city's People's Hospital, Shi Xinxin changed her clothes, her hand tightly gripping her phone in one pocket while the other arm was linked with Sheng Chenjin's.

Sheng Chenjin couldn't help but worry. "Are you sure about being discharged so early? If you feel unwell on the way, you must tell me immediately."

Shi Xinxin replied helplessly, "You've said that more than three times. I've got it!"

Sheng Chenjin smiled and carefully helped her into the car.

"Oh, right. Has your company been alright lately? Do you need me to go to your company?" Shi Xinxin tried to steer the conversation away from Sheng Chenjin.

She was holding her phone and looking for someone, determined not to let Sheng Chenjin find out.

"There's nothing much going on. Bai Feng has handled everything. The most important thing now is your health."

Shi Xinxin became a little troubled. She rested her hand casually on her jacket, tapping it lightly.
