Chapter 176 Hell

"I will not die, you will."

Zhou Jie looked at Xu Mu, his ashen face devoid of expression, his tone radiating immense confidence.

Xu Mu gazed at him, his eyes narrowing slightly.

He wouldn't die, but he himself would?

Where did such confidence come from?

"Don't be impulsive!"

Outside, countless members of the Jiang family held their breath, desperately hoping Xu Mu would not choose Zhou Jie. The latter was clearly prepared, and even if Xu Mu's strength was unmatched, his chances of victory were slim.

And even if he won, Xu Mu's condition would be significantly weakened. How would he then deal with Zuo Mingqiu, who had just broken through?

But clearly, Xu Mu had no such concerns.

He looked at Zhou Jie as if he were already a dead man, stepping onto the battle platform. "Come up."

"I hope you won't disappoint me."

Zhou Jie grinned, reaching into the netherworld and pulling out two bone blades. He leaped onto the platform, his expression excited. "You won't be disappointed, because you will despair!"

"Stop the nonsense, come on!" Xu Mu lost his patience, assuming a boxing stance and shouting sternly. He chose to let Zhou Jie make the first move.

"Go to hell!"

Zhou Jie let out a piercing cry, the ear-splitting wail of the netherworld filling the air. A ghostly mist barrier materialized, shrouding the entire platform. Viscous, sharp spiritual blades materialized from nowhere, like the scythes of a vengeful underworld, moving with lightning speed.

Xu Mu's feet trod upon an illusory Bagua formation, his arms swinging as he expelled surging blood energy. The vengeful spirits and souls from all directions were scattered.

The scythes struck him but left not a trace, shattering with resounding clangs.

Xu Mu broke through the black mist, taking three consecutive steps forward, each one seeming to land on people's hearts.

The intent of the Great Dao of Death mixed with his blood energy, suffocatingly potent. Zhou Jie felt a sharp pain in his chest and stumbled back several steps, his expression grim. Xu Mu's physical prowess had exceeded his expectations. Those scythes, capable of cleaving through meteorite iron, had been shattered by Xu Mu's sheer physique.

Perhaps he shouldn't have listened to Chen Changkong and come to provoke Xu Mu?

Zhou Jie looked at Xu Mu and shook his head.

The situation had reached this point, and there was no turning back. He opened his mouth, bit his finger, and a torrent of crimson blood seeped out, flowing to the corners of his lips.

"Let's go to hell together!"

With an extreme shriek, a powerful aura erupted from Zhou Jie, shaking the entire space. It was a chilling aura that sent a shiver down Xu Mu's spine and into his very soul, piercing his body!

Zhou Jie watched Xu Mu, his hands clenched.

The next second, using this terrifying ability, he had transported Xu Mu to another space.

This space was called Hell.

Xu Mu's head spun momentarily from the oppressive aura. As soon as he regained his senses, he found himself here.

He looked at the unfamiliar surroundings, at the mountains of corpses and seas of blood, at the shrieks of malevolent spirits echoing from the abyss, and a chill ran down his spine.

He had no idea what Zhou Jie's ability was, but he knew he had arrived in an extremely dangerous alternate dimension, completely cut off from the outside world, vast and terrifying.

It was as if he had once been adrift in the boundless void of spatial turbulence.

"How is it, not bad, are you scared?" Zhou Jie's figure appeared, a playful smile on his face.

By now, he had somehow donned a suit of skeletal ghost armor stained with mottled blood. In his hand, he held a soul lamp fashioned from a human skull, within which countless vengeful souls were imprisoned.

"This space is called Hell."

"Next, I will cripple your Dantian and meridians, imprison you here, and let you suffer the torment and enslavement of vengeful spirits and wandering souls for eternity. Mu Xu, what do you think of this way to die?"

Zhou Jie sneered, an astonishing aura of malevolence erupting from him. The scene of corpse mountains and seas of blood instantly flooded Xu Mu's mind.

Xu Mu bit his tongue hard, forcing himself to stay clear-headed. He ignored Zhou Jie's mockery and began to use the Bagua to observe the space, missing no detail, including the terrifying energies emanating from the abyss.

After a moment, Xu Mu breathed a sigh of relief.

"This is not true Hell."

He looked at Zhou Jie and said,

"If I'm not mistaken, this space is likely related to the Ghost Domain controlled by your Jialan clan. The dense malevolent energy suggests this was once a battlefield where many people died."

Seeing that Xu Mu had immediately guessed the origin of this space, Zhou Jie's expression darkened, but he still snorted dismissively. "So what if it is!"

"After hundreds of millions of years, this is no longer an ordinary battlefield, but an alternate dimension whose rules have been altered by malevolent energy and vengeful souls!"

"And I can use all the malevolent energy and weapons in this space to kill you!"

As Zhou Jie spoke, he unleashed waves of blood-red malevolent energy towards Xu Mu, surging like a tsunami, the entire world seemingly drenched in it.

Xu Mu's expression was grim. He swung his arms in the space, and fire and lightning blazed from his Dao Origin, circulating through the space along his movements, blocking all the malevolent energy. The two clashed, creating terrifying explosions, like the shattering of heaven and earth.

But there was no heaven or earth here, only endless void.

Seeing Xu Mu's actions, Zhou Jie also sneered and, while urging the malevolent energy forward, taunted, "It's useless, stop struggling."

"Although my cultivation realm is not high, the malevolent energy in this space is inexhaustible. I can sustain this for three days and three nights if I wish, and I won't be affected in the slightest."

"Of course, if the sound of our battle attracts a few vengeful spirits who have cultivated for who knows how many tens of thousands of years, then you can die a swift death. I have the soul lamp, so they won't attack me."

Xu Mu still didn't speak, channeling his entire Dao Origin to resist.

After a long period, his face had turned pale, yet the malevolent energy persisted. He realized that Zhou Jie was telling the truth.

In this space, Zhou Jie's ability was indeed inexhaustible, and he could not simply wear him down.

But this did not mean Zhou Jie had an absolute victory.

"Do you know, bringing me here was actually a very wrong decision for you." Xu Mu dispelled the Dao Origin around him, enduring the malevolent energy as he retreated several steps. He then stepped onto a skeletal corpse and said calmly to Zhou Jie,

Zhou Jie's lips curved into a smile, and he looked at Xu Mu with amusement. "Is that so? Where is the mistake?"

"The mistake is that you will never see the sun again?"

Xu Mu shook his head, gripped the hilt of his hunting knife, and slowly drew it out:

"No."

"The mistake is, you have never seen true Hell."

"Nor have you seen the Demon God who governs Hell."
