Chapter 52 Truly the Fish I Desired

Xu Mu said he was gambling with his life.

Looking into the young man's eyes, Congrif's fear was about to explode his head.

If Xu Mu was telling the truth, then it meant they had to find a way out of this bizarre tunnel on their own.

And the countless withered bones had already proven how difficult it was to get out of here. No matter how powerful Congrif was, what could he change?

"You're lying to us, tell us the truth!"

Congrif roared angrily, shoving Xu Mu fiercely against the wall. Flames flowed from his eyes, splashing onto Xu Mu's body and burning his clothes.

"Let him go, don't kill anyone," Nonna said, stepping forward to extinguish the flames on Xu Mu's body, then glaring at Congrif with murderous intent.

"This is my own business, what does it have to do with you!" Congrif roared, refusing to back down. He still stared intently at Xu Mu, hoping to find some secret about the holy relic in those clear eyes.

But clearly, he was disappointed.

Xu Mu, his face pale, looked at Congrif and said calmly, with a hint of mockery, "At this point, what meaning is there in taking your anger out on me?"

"What we should be doing now is figuring out how to get out of here, not venting your incompetent rage. Of course, if it makes you feel any better, feel free to kill me."

Xu Mu's body was pressed against the wall, but he still casually wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, then casually dripped it onto the white bones on the ground, with a defiant expression.

"Do you know what you're saying, human?" Mocked for his incompetence, Congrif was completely enraged.

Rumble!

A ball of flame attached itself to his right fist. Congrif clenched his fist and smashed it down towards Xu Mu's head. The light that erupted was like a small sun. The moment it lit up, the heat in the space suddenly increased several times, and the frost on the bodies of the Ice Elf clan began to melt.

Ovis's face was grave as he watched the flaming fist. In a one-on-one fight, no one present could match this brute, including Suna and Hyman.

If this punch landed, no matter how talented Xu Mu was, he would eventually be reduced to a bloody pulp.

Xu Mu knew this too, knew he couldn't withstand this punch, but he remained calm, standing in place with a serene gaze.

Because he believed that none of the elves present wanted him to die. If he died, their only slim hope of getting out of here would be extinguished.

As expected, at the moment Congrif's punch was about to land, Nonna and Hyman both attacked simultaneously, flashing to Congrif's sides.

One intercepted the punch, the other repelled him.

Crash!

The sun-like punch was caught by Nonna, the immense force of the rebound sending her crashing into the wall. Congrif himself was pushed back several meters by Hyman's palm, like a cannonball, smashing into several elves.

Bang!

"Are you trying to start a fight? I won't back down!" Congrif cried out in pain, almost frantically pulling out the Sunfire Bow. His subordinates, all at the Domain Lord realm, also ignited their flames, seemingly ready for battle at any moment.

Hyman and Nonna showed no fear, standing calmly in front of Xu Mu.

"I feel so safe," Xu Mu murmured to himself, looking at the two slender dark elves in front of him.

"That's enough, everyone, don't be impulsive," Silver said, gently gripping his bow, his eyes lowered. He didn't want internal conflict at this time. If Xu Mu died, they would all die!

"I will kill you sooner or later," Congrif said, glancing at Silver, then at the silent Ovis, and finally glaring fiercely at Xu Mu over Nonna and Hyman before retracting his rage.

Seeing this, Xu Mu breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, the guy held back. Otherwise, in a battle of this level, he would have very likely died even if he was accidentally caught up in it.

"A pity," Ovis sighed inwardly from behind.

He had been ready. If Congrif had attacked again and started fighting Nonna and Hyman, he would have done his best to kill him.

After all, they were old adversaries.

"Now you can prove I have no other secrets, can't you? I essentially died just now," Xu Mu said, simultaneously consuming some food to replenish his energy.

"Actually, if you want to know if you're hiding anything from us, it's very simple," Silver said calmly, looking at Xu Mu. "Because your realm is too low, staying here, we will definitely live longer than you. And if you want to survive here, you must reveal your secrets."

"Then if I truly have no secrets, will I have to die with you?" Xu Mu asked him calmly.

"That's unavoidable," Silver replied with a smile.

With that said, everyone in the tunnel fell silent. Those who needed to heal healed, and those who needed to rest rested.

"Are you alright?" Qiongqi walked up to Xu Mu, asking with concern.

"Little Fire, I'm far worse off than you," Xu Mu said, looking at the patches of scorched skin on his body, forcing a smile.

"I believe you know how to get out of here. What's marked on that map is the way out," Qiongqi said telepathically, his eyes deep.

Before, they hadn't realized that this underwater tunnel was endless, which was why they couldn't understand the meaning of Fuxi's red arrows and numbers.

Now that they thought about it, Qiongqi understood perfectly. It was the method to help them escape. They didn't need to understand spatial dao, they just needed to follow the instructions to get out.

"Of course I understand, but the problem is how to use it. It's all here, for everyone to see," Xu Mu sighed helplessly. If only he could have understood these mysteries from the beginning, perhaps by now he would have obtained the holy relic and wouldn't have suffered so much.

"That's simple. I'll pretend to have an epiphany later and lead them step by step. When we reach the end, we'll make a surprise escape," Qiongqi said. They had the initiative, so it wouldn't be difficult to act.

"The key is, we need to know our current location first," Xu Mu nodded and said softly. He had memorized all the red annotations and knew how to proceed at each stage. The only thing he didn't know now was where he was.

After running for eleven days, their spatial positions had become incredibly chaotic.

"Good fellow, are you silly? Since this tunnel is divided into different zones, and we haven't found the right method before, of course we are still at the starting point," Qiongqi said.

"The starting point?" Xu Mu scratched his head, thought carefully, and then suddenly understood.

"That's indeed the case," Xu Mu's eyes brightened, his voice calm. "Then, according to the writing there, from now on, we just need to go to that swimming strange fish, retreat thirty-seven steps, and then take one step to the right to successfully enter the next tunnel area."

"That's right," Qiongqi nodded, looking at the strange fish floating motionlessly in the water about twenty meters ahead, baring his teeth slightly.

As expected, it was a fish he wanted to eat, and it was indeed peculiar.

"Everyone, can you help me resist some spatial turbulence?" Qiongqi pondered for a moment, then spoke to the elves present.

"What do you mean?" Silver asked curiously.

"I believe I can enter the space and figure out the rules of this space, but this requires resisting the spatial turbulence of the异空间 (dimensional rift). My strength is not enough," Qiongqi said, looking up with a grave expression.

"Are you serious?" Congrif asked with surprise and excitement, stepping closer with wide eyes.

Qiongqi nodded seriously, "As long as you can withstand the turbulence, I have an eighty percent chance of leading you out!"
