Chapter 90 Thunderous Might

The Eight Great Sacred Relics exist within the eight most severely corrupted regions of the Primordial Realm.

He who wields a Sacred Relic shall know all secrets of that realm.

And the Domain of the Ghostly Night sealed a Demon God; the Ghostly Night itself was formed from one-third of the Demon God's being. What then could control a Demon God?

Xu Mu sat cross-legged on the white clouds of the Heavenly Palace, his expression suddenly becoming solemn as if struck by a thought.

The horns of a Demon God were the strongest things in the world.

And this one, attached with the Demon God's original consciousness.

To control it was to control the entire Ghostly Night.

—Therefore, the thing within the coffin was the true Sacred Relic.

"Insolent! What are you saying!"

Hearing the person outside intend to use him as a weapon, the Demon God within the dark coffin roared in fury.

His roar was laced with a hint of panic, as if he foresaw his future tragic fate of becoming someone's servant.

This feeling was unlike anything he had experienced even when Fuxi sealed him billions of years ago.

For back then, as a Demon God, he knew he would one day return, become an all-powerful existence once more, and rule the world.

But now it was different. The successor of a deity outside wanted him to become their weapon.

If it were anyone else, he would dismiss it as a joke. But those gray-white eyes inspired fear even in the deity depicted on the mural. Perhaps he truly could achieve it. If so, he would be controlled forever, no longer deserving the name of Demon God!

"Stop right there!"

Seeing Xu Mu ignore the seal and directly sever the first iron chain, the Demon God in the coffin directly controlled the mural.

Thus, countless deities descended from the walls, the sun blazing, pure water surging, arrows sharp... In an instant, just as depicted on the mural, they unleashed their respective abilities upon Xu Mu's body.

"Not being born in the era of gods and demons will be my life's regret."

Amidst the dazzling myriad of divine arts, the gray-white eyes sighed. How he wished to witness that glorious era firsthand, where myriad races rose, and humanity battled in the Heavenly Court.

If it were him, could he wield ten thousand swords to cleave the heavens?

—The answer was yes, and he would personally slay the Demon God.

"If you were real, how wonderful it would be."

"Since I could not end that era myself, slaying their phantoms will have to suffice to mend my regret."

Xu Mu lamented, golden Dao source flowing from his body, as translucent as glazed glass. Beneath his feet, an immensely powerful ability suddenly spread out, enveloping himself and all the gods and demons within the coffin, as if they were instantly transported to a vast expanse of clouds.

To bring the environment of the Heavenly Palace into reality, this was his domain.

"A Domain!"

Xu Mu, in the true Heavenly Palace, was shocked. He had actually broken through to the Fourth Realm. No wonder he was so confident.

Within the Heavenly Palace, he seemed invincible.

Yet, the other party had pierced through Viritan with a single arrow. Did his Stage Four abilities even matter?

"As long as he dares to act, it means he has a two-hundred-percent chance of victory,"

Charles seemed to guess Xu Mu's thoughts and spoke.

At the same time, the flames of the Fire God Zhu Rong had already fallen upon Xu Mu's true body.

And thus, his Dao source was ignited. Each brilliant golden bead and droplet, like the setting sun before dusk, burned and swelled wildly. Then, for some unknown reason, a spark of lightning was born.

First a spark, then all of it.

Crack!

Endless lightning coiled around Xu Mu's body. It merged with his Dao source, completely isolating any possibility of the divine soul's attacks from invading his sea of consciousness.

Not only that, but as the amount of Dao source increased, the lightning also grew exponentially, soon filling the entire domain space.

Beneath the vast, boundless sky and clouds, everything was filled with lightning. This had clearly become a sea of thunder.

The gray-white eyes stood atop the majestic Heavenly Palace, looking down at the Demon God.

Then, countless thunder dragons descended, ferociously tearing at the illusory bodies of those deities from all directions.

Xu Mu, in the true Heavenly Palace, watched all this with a stunned expression.

He had indeed finally mastered the Five Thunder Orthodox Method.

Moreover, he had independently comprehended other uses, learning without a teacher. The illusory divine spirits on the murals vanished one by one, all slain by this thunderous technique!

"The thunder techniques of Shenxiao! You are truly a descendant of the deities!"

From within the coffin, the Demon God roared with a mixture of shock and rage upon sensing everything happening outside.

Having cleared the obstacles, Xu Mu turned around.

His blade was slowly placed upon the Demon God's coffin, upon the last iron chain.

As if facing imminent doom, the Demon God suddenly calmed down. His voice was no longer angry but ancient:

"Actually, the chains are merely superficial. The true seal is the talisman technique, personally set by Fuxi."

"Even as a successor of Shenxiao, you cannot open it. In fact, merely touching it will trigger a taboo and result in death."

Upon hearing this, Xu Mu indeed stopped his movement.

He lowered himself and observed carefully. Then, turning his gaze towards this underground palace, he pondered for a moment before shaking his head slightly:

"You are lying to me."

As if discovered, the Demon God still said:

"Whether I'm lying or not, do not attempt it."

"I, as an immortal and unkillable being, though currently possessing less than one ten-thousandth of my strength, am still not someone ordinary people can contend with..."

Crack!

As he spoke, the gray-white eyes sliced the iron chain in two with a single strike.

He had absolute confidence in his own strength.

If he could not even defeat a broken horn, he would have no reason to live.

"I give you two choices," he stated, standing still without lifting the coffin lid.

"One, willingly become my weapon, sign a contract, and follow me to conquer the myriad realms and rule the heavens."

"Two, I beat you up, and then we sign a contract. You choose."

"Ha... Hahahaha..." In the coffin, the Demon God laughed.

"Why are you so confident? Is it Fuxi who gives you courage?"

He did not hurry to emerge from the coffin, but instead sighed.

In reality, those iron chains were the only seal Fuxi had set.

The destructive energy contained within them could easily annihilate anyone who touched them.

But for some reason, this energy was ineffective against the person outside. Perhaps it was because he was a successor of the deities?

It didn't matter. What mattered was that he could get out.

As the Demon God pondered these things, his voice grew increasingly joyful:

"You must think you are clever, but you are wrong."

"I am not afraid of you opening the seal, only that you would not dare. Those words were merely to deceive you."

"Stupid slave, I shall now send you to meet Fuxi!"

Bang!

A hole appeared in the coffin lid, and a broken horn, like that of an antelope, shot out.

Xu Mu did not panic. Within the Heavenly Palace domain, lightning coiled around his wrist, and he struck down fiercely.

Boom!

With a tremendous roar, the most violent heavenly lightning collided with the hardest object in the world, stirring up immense spatial storms.

Then, the broken horn was batted aside by the young man.

It was about one point five meters long, completely black, and not even the lightning had left a single mark upon it.

"You repelled me, but what can you do trapped in your domain?"

Behind the horn, a shadowy, colossal figure seemed to exist, as tall as the Heavenly Palace. He grinned and spoke:

"Look at your own hand, foolish human!"

The gray-white eyes did not react.

He could naturally feel that his hand was severely injured, bleeding profusely, the wound deep enough to see bone.

"I merely wanted to test your sharpness. Lest I obtain it and find out it's a fake."

A strange smile appeared on the gray-white eyes' lips. It was indeed this sharp.

Excellent, truly excellent!

"Hahahaha! You dare to boast? Once I pierce your heart and reshape my true form, I will plunge this world into an endless purgatory!"

"Uh... you might not be able to kill me."

Xu Mu shook his head slightly, picking up the iron chain from the ground.

"When I cut the first iron chain, I already noticed that the energy Fuxi, the Human Emperor, left here does not dissipate."

"If I'm not mistaken, it has a restraining effect on you, doesn't it?"

The gray-white eyes' voice was calm, lightning roared, and the domain space gradually shrank, closing the distance between them:

"So now, I still give you two choices."

"One, is to willingly become my weapon, never to betray me for eternity, and swear a Heavenly Dao oath."

"Two, I beat you up, and then send you back to the coffin to find your divine soul, and then sign a contract with me, after which I will deal with you again."

"You dream!"

The Demon God's horn shrieked, attempting to break through the domain and escape.

This human was truly terrifying. He was right; that iron chain was indeed a weapon that restrained him, and he never wanted to be locked in a coffin again!

"You cannot escape," the gray-white eyes shook his head, controlling his abilities to form the iron chains into a massive net, locking the Demon God's horn firmly to the ground.

Upon touching the iron chains, its supposedly indestructible surface emitted a sizzling sound, like roasting meat.

"Ah!!!"

The Demon God let out a tragic roar. He tried to struggle, but Xu Mu merely leaned down, grasping him tightly with the chains wrapped around him, and held him in his hand.

"A mere bone with only a physical body, daring to compare itself to me."

Xu Mu held the broken bone, dispelled the domain, and placed it above the coffin:

"I have no intention of tormenting you. After all, you have died more than once. You should not fear this."

"If you do not agree, I will help you wrap the chains back on now."

The gray-white eyes' expression was icy, causing the Demon God's broken horn to panic:

"Choose, my dear Demon God."
