Chapter 604: Temperature
He clearly only cared for style, not warmth.
"I’m not coming, I’m not coming. I’m not having a snowball fight. I’m going to build a snowman, Galaxy, please spare me," Lin Murong begged Su Yinhe.
"Wow, how come you’re giving up so quickly?" Su Yinhe looked down on him.
"I can’t help it, I’m a useless man," Lin Murong admitted straightforwardly.
Su Yinhe: "..."
Really, he admitted it without a moment’s hesitation.
"Fine, fine, fine, then you... go play something else," Su Yinhe actually hadn’t had enough fun; she was just starting to enjoy herself.
As a result, Lin Murong couldn’t keep up.
But, she couldn’t always bully him. Alright, enough is enough.
Su Yinhe decided to head back to the supermarket.
She might as well rest.
"I can play with you," Chi Yan noticed she hadn’t had her fill of fun.
Although he didn’t like these games, if Galaxy wanted to play, he’d definitely join in.
"Ah? No need," Su Yinhe stood on her toes and touched his face. Because of making snowballs, her fingers were very cold, Chi Yan felt it but didn’t move away.
"Oh, dear, I can’t bear to hit you." After saying that, Su Yinhe was ready to pull him back to the supermarket.
She knew he didn’t like it.
"It’s okay, as long as you’re happy."
"No way, hitting you won’t make me happy, hitting Lin Murong is more fun," Su Yinhe shook her head in refusal.
Beside, an utterly bewildered Lin Murong: "???"
No, if you two want to show off, why drag him into it?
Is he some sort of despicable person?
"Don’t you two think you’re being too harsh?" Lin Murong threw out a soul-searching question.
"Not really. You have fun, we’re going back first."
Lin Murong: "..."
Why? Why did he feel so deeply powerless?
They left, leaving Lin Murong alone.
They entered the supermarket, and Lin Murong, looking at the snowball he had just made, felt a bit angry.
No, he hadn’t hit them even once.
Damn it.
They had hit him and then ran off.
He didn’t even get a chance for revenge.
Lin Murong felt terrible.
Distressed, Lin Murong decided to build a snowman to relieve some of his feelings.
He wanted to build an adorable snowman.
After Lin Murong decided this, he started to build.
To build a snowman, he needed to start with a snowball.
Lin Murong began to roll a snowball.
At first, it was just a very small snowball in his hands, then it got bigger and bigger.
In the end, it became so large that Lin Murong started to feel scared.
Pushing it was still possible, it was just...
too big, it felt oppressive.
Then, there was a problem.
The snowman’s body was too big, the head became an issue.
If he made the head too big too, he couldn’t put it on.
Too small...
would look a bit ugly.
Lin Murong felt frustrated.
He couldn’t possibly start rolling another snowball.
He had been rolling for so long, he was sweating.
Although he wasn’t sure if the sweat came from the snowball fight or from rolling the snowball.
After a long thought, Lin Murong still used the big snowball.
No choice, he had to make the snowman’s head smaller.
Lin Murong made the snowman’s head smaller, but it was still difficult to secure because the body underneath was too large and too tall, even taller than three of him combined.
He didn’t want to leave marks on the body of the snowman.
Eventually, it took him Herculean efforts to finally get the snowman’s head on.
It was just...
so ugly.
Lin Murong looked at the giant snowman he had built and felt a bit disdainful.
Too ugly.
A huge and ugly snowman.
Sigh.
But, it was self-made, so I couldn’t disdain it.
Lin Murong began to inspect it closely, trying hard to find something attractive about it.
He tried to make the huge snowman look pleasing, but in the end, it still looked unpleasant.
Ugly, so ugly.
Could it be because it lacked decorations?
Lin Murong disdained it more and more until he suddenly remembered.
The snowman was made of two snowballs with no decorations, of course, it was ugly.
He needed to get some decorations; maybe then it wouldn’t be so ugly.
With that thought, Lin Murong ran back to the supermarket like the wind, grabbed a bunch of stuff, and hurried back to decorate the snowman.
Lin Murong decorated it earnestly, adding eyes, a nose, a mouth, buttons, arms, a hat, a scarf... even blush. He put on everything he could think of.
Since the snowman was so large, it took quite an effort to decorate.
The result was...
Even uglier.
Uglier than the previous bare two snowballs.
Lin Murong looked at the newly made ugly snowman and fell into deep reflection.
What was all his exhausting effort for?
So ugly, incredibly ugly.
Too ugly for him to bear looking any longer.
Lin Murong took one last look, then sighed and went back to the supermarket with the leftover items.
"Hey? Weren’t you making a snowman? You’re back so soon? Aren’t you going to make a few more?" Su Yinhe was quite surprised to see him return so quickly.
"I’m not making any more, too ugly," Lin Murong’s face crumpled.
He truly disdained it.
Seeing his disappointment and sadness, Su Yinhe patted his arm.
"Oh, it’s okay, it actually looks quite good."
"Really?" Lin Murong stared straight at her.
"Yeah," Su Yinhe nodded.
"Then can you try not to hold back your laughter when you talk?"
Su Yinhe: "..."
"Pfft, hahaha...sorry, hahahaha...actually...it’s really quite cute. Ugly-cute, hahaha..." Su Yinhe finally couldn’t hold back and laughed until she couldn’t straighten up.
Lin Murong: "..."
He knew it, he just knew it.
Hmph.
Liar.
Lin Murong sulked, no longer wanting to deal with her.
"Hey, don’t overthink it. It’s just one ugly one. You could try making a few more; maybe the others won’t be ugly?"
"What if... they end up even uglier?"
"Then...then this one won’t seem ugly anymore," Su Yinhe hesitated for a second before speaking.
Lin Murong: "..."
It sounded logical yet absurd.
"I don’t want to talk to you anymore. Galaxy, please leave me alone. Don’t ask me who Alone is." Lin Murong sat down and hugged himself.
He just wanted to be alone now.
"Um...so who is Alone?"
Lin Murong: "..."
"Hahaha, just kidding." It was rare to see Lin Murong like this, and Su Yinhe couldn’t help herself.
Lin Murong glared at her with resentment.
"Galaxy, remember to sleep with your eyes open tonight." He feared his resentment was too great, and he might climb up to her window tonight.
"No worries, I can just sleep with Chi Yan," Su Yinhe waved it off nonchalantly.
Chi Yan on alert.
Lin Murong: "..."
Darn it.
Darn it.
Lin Murong’s resentment grew.
Lin Murong didn’t want to see her now; he buried his head. He really needed to be alone. Alone, where are you?
"Do you really just want to be alone?" Su Yinhe asked beside him.
"Yes."
"Really?"
