Chapter 601: White Peach Oolong Tea
Su Yinhe made herself a cup of White Peach Oolong Tea, delicious and refreshing.
“I don’t know either, I just fell for it,” said Lin Murong, gobbling down Green Bean Cakes one after another.
Su Yinhe was engrossed in watching her drama and had no idea what kinds of odd thoughts Chi Yan was having all by himself.
Chi Yan fed her a piece, then ate one himself, grateful that Lin Murong wasn’t around; otherwise, he’d surely exclaim about their public display of affection again.
His timing was impeccable. Just as Su Yinhe finished the drama, the fruit was also consumed.
Everything was just perfect.
He always had an excellent grip on timing.
“Is it tasty?” Chi Yan asked her.
Su Yinhe still had the last piece of watermelon in her mouth.
She chewed; the watermelon was sweet, juicy, and delicious. “Tasty.”
“Do you like it?” he asked again.
“Like it? Of course, I like it. How could I not?”
“I’ll make you another one next time. Or, I could make a few more now, put them in the space, and whenever you feel like eating, you can just take them out…”
“No need, no need, you… don’t need to do so much. Don’t overwork yourself. I would feel really embarrassed.”
“It’s no trouble, just cutting some fruit, how could it be hard.” Chi Yan stroked her head.
“I know, but, I just feel for you,” Su Yinhe flirted.
Chi Yan’s gaze deepened as he watched her.
“Good, thank you. I really… like you a lot.” He always found her so perfect, how could he not grow fonder of her?
He really, really wanted to lock her away.
For his eyes only.
No one else’s.
She was his and his alone.
But he couldn’t do that, she would be unhappy.
He didn’t want her to be unhappy; he wanted her to do whatever she wanted to do, cheerfully.
“Ah… how come… confessing out of the blue again, it’s quite embarrassing.” Su Yinhe touched her face, feeling it heat up.
Really now.
“I don’t know. Maybe it’s because…” he’s too fond of her.
Because he’s too fond of her, he can’t help himself, affection is hard to contain.
“Alright, alright, I get it, I know what you’re going to say. Don’t say it.” She… feels shy. Really shy.
Chi Yan looked at her and chuckled softly.
“Okay, as you wish.”
Lin Murong, wandering about, ended up here anyway.
Fortunately, he came at an alright time and didn’t barge in on anything.
But it was a close call.
“Yo, Galaxy, you’re really enjoying yourself, with drama, snacks, milk tea, and a man. If I’m not mistaken, there’s also an emptied fruit platter,” Lin Murong said, glancing at Chi Yan.
His last sentence was delivered in a rather sarcastic tone.
Su Yinhe: “…”
“Heh, it’s alright. After all, I’m the boss, right? If I don’t enjoy myself, who will?” Su Yinhe teased him with a raised eyebrow.
Lin Murong: “…”
That’s… also true?
“Um… what are you doing?” Su Yinhe, seeing Lin Murong’s odd behavior, couldn’t help but ask.
Lin Murong was actually…
Sniffing…
The plate.
Yes, the one that had held the fruit.
Was it really that fragrant?
What a weird hobby.
“Me? I didn’t get to eat, am I not even allowed to sniff?” Lin Murong looked pitiful.
Su Yinhe: “…”
Good, yet another story she was unaware of.
Su Yinhe glanced at Chi Yan.
The two of them had some sort of thing going on again.
“It’s nothing, he’s just not right in the head.” Although Su Yinhe hadn’t spoken, he knew what she wanted to say; her look said it all.
Su Yinhe: “…”
Hmm, it’s confirmed, both of them are rather abnormal.
In such a huge supermarket, she seems to be the only normal person.
They are all abnormal.
Only she is the most normal.
“You’re the one who’s not normal, Brother Chi! How could you slander me like this!” Lin Murong flared up, he was already upset about missing out on the fruit plate, and now he had to put up with Chi Yan’s slander.
That’s too much.
“Whether it’s slander or not… you know best,” Chi Yan said expressionlessly.
Lin Murong: “…”
It seems… it might not actually be slander.
But still…
His reasoning might be flawed, but his confidence was not.
No matter what.
“No way, you’re slandering me, apologize! Otherwise, I… I will…” Lin Murong struggled to come up with a threat.
“Heh, take your time,” Chi Yan mocked.
“Hey! Galaxy! Do something about him,” Lin Murong turned to Su Yinhe when he couldn’t deal with Chi Yan.
Su Yinhe: “…” She didn’t really have a solution either.
She couldn’t… just confront Chi Yan. Besides, she didn’t want to confront him.
Su Yinhe’s eyes shifted as she chose to target Lin Murong instead.
“Hey, Murong, do you want some fries?”
Lin Murong: “??? Sure…” Lin Murong felt uncertain as he spoke.
Not because he was too full to eat more—he ate fast and digested quickly.
He could eat again right away.
It was just that… Su Yinhe’s question sounded ominous no matter how he heard it.
“Alright then, go peel some potatoes. Once you’re done, I’ll make you fries,” Su Yinhe gestured a heart at him.
Lin Murong: “???”
“You’re going to make it yourself?!!!” Lin Murong let out a shrill cry.
“Yep, touched, aren’t you?” Su Yinhe winked at him.
“Moved, truly moved,” Lin Murong was a bit afraid, “But actually, I can do without.”
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to peel potatoes, he was just a bit scared.
“Not eat? Why not? What gives you the right not to? Eat! You have to eat! How could you not? I am going to personally make fries for you, and you say you don’t want to?” Su Yinhe’s face turned unpleasant.
“But… I wouldn’t dare bother our boss with such a trivial task. I can do it myself. And I don’t even like fries that much,” he never really liked them.
Lin Murong felt like crying.
“No, now you do. Wait until I make them,” Su Yinhe patted his shoulder.
“Ah… alright,” Lin Murong’s face was a picture of misery, he had a very bad feeling about this.
“Good boy. Go peel,” Su Yinhe gestured a heart at him again.
Lin Murong: “…”
Darn it.
He really didn’t want fries anymore.
But Su Yinhe was forcing the issue.
Damn.
And he couldn’t even resist.
Lin Murong dutifully went to peel potatoes.
Su Yinhe felt very clever, effortlessly avoiding an argument.
But as she sent Lin Murong off to peel potatoes, she had forgotten about Chi Yan.
As soon as Lin Murong left, Chi Yan became unhappy.
“You’re making fries for him?”
“Ah, yes. What about it?”
“I don’t agree,” Chi Yan was displeased.
“Why? It’s just fries.”
“You haven’t made any for me. But you’re making them for him first,” Chi Yan was very unhappy.
“Ah, but… well… you… you don’t eat that kind of stuff,” that kind of stuff, fried, was what Chi Yan liked the least.
“It’s true I don’t like them, but you made them,” Chi Yan would like anything Galaxy made.
“You… cough cough cough.” Su Yinhe was suddenly embarrassed.
“Well… once they’re done, you can eat first, and Murong can have the leftovers,” Su Yinhe suggested a solution.
Chi Yan, however, wasn’t completely satisfied.
