Chapter 546: Myself
“Is it you?”
“If it’s not me, please don’t bother,” Su Yinhe said expressionlessly.
Chi Yan fed her a piece, then ate one himself, thankful that Lin Murong wasn’t around. Otherwise, he’d be yelling about dog abuse again.
His timing was perfect; Su Yinhe finished watching the show just as they finished the fruit.
Everything was just right.
He was always great at managing time.
“Does it taste good?” Chi Yan asked her.
Su Yinhe still had the last piece of watermelon in her mouth.
She chewed it; the watermelon was very sweet, juicy, and delicious. “It’s good.”
“Do you like it?” he asked again.
“I like it, of course, I like it. How could I not?” she responded.
“Then I’ll make you another one next time. Or, I can go make a few more right now and put them in the space. Whenever you want to eat, just take them out…”
“No need, no need, you… don’t have to make so much. Don’t tire yourself. I’d feel really bad.”
“It’s not tiring, just cutting some fruit. How could it be hard?” Chi Yan stroked her head.
“I know, it’s just… I feel for you,” Su Yinhe said coyly.
Chi Yan’s look at her deepened.
“Okay, thank you. I really… like you a lot.” He was always so good to her; how could he not like her more and more?
He really wanted to keep her to himself.
Just for him to see.
No one else was allowed.
She was his alone.
But he couldn’t do that, she would be unhappy.
He didn’t want her to be unhappy; he wanted her to do whatever she wanted. To be happy.
“Ah… Why… another sudden confession, it’s so embarrassing.” Su Yinhe touched her face; she felt it was burning up.
Really.
“I don’t know. Maybe it’s because…” he loved her too much.
Because he loved her too much, he couldn’t help it, love was always hard to contain.
“Okay, okay, I get it; I know what you’re going to say. Don’t say it.” She was… embarrassed. Really embarrassed.
Chi Yan watched her and chuckled lightly.
“Alright, as you say.”
Lin Murong wandered around and ended up here anyway.
Fortunately, his timing was okay; he didn’t walk in on them.
But it was a close call.
“Yo, Galaxy, you’re enjoying quite a bit, with dramas, snacks, milk tea, and a man. And if I’m not mistaken, an empty fruit plate.” Lin Murong said, glancing at Chi Yan.
His last sentence was clearly sarcastic.
Su Yinhe: “…”
“Heh, thankfully. After all, I am the boss, aren’t I? If I don’t enjoy myself, who will?” Su Yinhe raised her eyebrows at him.
Lin Murong: “…”
Well… right?
“Hmm… What are you doing?” Su Yinhe couldn’t help but ask Lin Murong, who was acting strangely.
Lin Murong was actually…
Sniffing…
The plate.
Yes, the one that held the fruit.
Was it that fragrant?
What a strange hobby.
“Me? I didn’t get any, can’t I even take a sniff?” Lin Murong said with resentment.
Su Yinhe: “…”
Alright, another story she didn’t know about.
Su Yinhe glanced at Chi Yan.
Something had happened between the two of them, again.
“Nothing, he’s not right in the head.” Chi Yan knew what Su Yinhe wanted to say even though she hadn’t spoken; it was obvious from her eyes.
Su Yinhe: “…”
Right, diagnosed, both of them were not quite right.
In such a huge supermarket, she was the only normal person.
They were all not normal.
Only she was the most normal.
“You’re the one who’s not normal! Brother Chi, you’re slandering me!” Lin Murong got angry. It was bad enough that he didn’t get any of the fruit platter, but to be slandered by Chi Yan on top of it?
That was too much.
“Whether it’s slander or not… you know very well.” Chi Yan was expressionless.
Lin Murong: “…”
It seemed like… it really wasn’t slander.
But…
He was unreasonable, yet he had the gall.
No matter.
“It’s not okay; you are slandering me. Apologize! Otherwise, I will… I will…” Lin Murong “will”ed for a long time and still couldn’t come out with anything.
“Heh. You take your time then.”
“Hey! Galaxy! You do something.” Lin Murong couldn’t do anything about Chi Yan, so he turned to Su Yinhe.
Su Yinhe: “…” She didn’t really have a solution, okay.
She couldn’t just… confront Chi Yan. Besides, she didn’t want to confront him.
Su Yinhe’s eyes moved around, and she decided to pick on Lin Murong.
“Lin Murong, do you want to eat french fries?”
Lin Murong: “??? Yeah…” Lin Murong said hesitantly.
It wasn’t because he was too full to eat more; he ate quickly and digested quickly.
He could eat again soon.
But when Su Yinhe asked this question, it just sounded terrifying however he heard it.
“Okay, then go peel some potatoes. When you’re done, I’ll make you french fries.” Su Yinhe made a heart gesture at him.
Lin Murong: “???”
“You’re going to make them yourself?!!!!” Lin Murong let out a sharp cry.
“Yep, aren’t you touched?” Su Yinhe winked at him.
“Touched, really touched,” Lin Murong said, slightly afraid, “but I could actually not eat them.” It’s not that he didn’t want to peel potatoes; he was just a bit scared.
“Not eat? Why not? What gives you the right not to eat? Eat! You have to eat for me! How can you not eat? I’m personally making the fries, and you’re saying you don’t want to eat?” Su Yinhe looked displeased.
“But… I wouldn’t dare to trouble our boss to do it herself. I can do such a small task myself. I’m not that fond of french fries.” He really didn’t like them to begin with.
Lin Murong felt like crying.
“No, you like them now. Just wait until I make them.” Su Yinhe patted his shoulder.
“Ah… okay then.” Lin Murong wore a mournful expression; he had a very bad feeling about this.
“Good boy. Go peel them.” Su Yinhe made another heart gesture at him.
Lin Murong: “…”
Damn.
He really didn’t want to eat french fries anymore.
But Su Yinhe was forcing him to want to.
Damn it.
And he couldn’t even resist.
Lin Murong obediently went to peel the potatoes.
Su Yinhe thought she was very clever; without making a sound, she avoided an argument.
But as she sent Lin Murong off to peel potatoes, she forgot about Chi Yan.
As soon as Lin Murong left, Chi Yan was unhappy.
“You’re making him french fries?”
“Ah, yes. What about it?”
“It’s not okay; I don’t agree.” Chi Yan was very displeased.
“Why not? It’s just french fries.”
“You haven’t made any for me, and you’re making them for him first.” Chi Yan was very displeased.
“Ah, but… um… you… don’t like this kind of stuff, right?” Fried food, the very thing Chi Yan least liked.
“I don’t like it, but these are made by you.” He liked anything made by Galaxy.
“You… cough, cough, cough.” Su Yinhe was a bit embarrassed.
“Well… once they’re done, you can have them first, Lin Murong can have the leftovers.” Su Yinhe suggested a solution.
Chi Yan still wasn’t quite satisfied.
