Chapter 506: Butterfly
"My heart is like a butterfly, longing to fly."
A sour soup hot pot without sour soup beef isn’t a complete hot pot.
As Su Yinhe focused on the drama, she was unaware that Chi Yan was thinking some odd things to himself.
Chi Yan fed her a piece, then ate one himself, thankfully Lin Murong wasn’t around, otherwise, he would have cried out "stop showing off your love" again.
His timing was perfect; as Su Yinhe finished the drama, the fruit was also just right.
Everything was just right.
He always had good control over timing.
"Tasty?" Chi Yan asked her.
Su Yinhe still had the last slice of watermelon in her mouth.
She chewed, finding the watermelon sweet, juicy, and delicious. "Tasty."
"Do you like it?" he asked again.
"Like it? Of course, I like it. How could I not?"
"Then I’ll make you another one next time. Or, I could go make a few more now and store them, so whenever you want to eat, you can just take them out..."
"No need, no need, you... don’t need to make so much. Don’t overwork yourself. I’d feel bad."
"It’s not hard, just cutting some fruit, how could it be hard." Chi Yan tousled her hair.
"I know, I just... feel sorry for you," Su Yinhe said sweetly.
Chi Yan’s gaze deepened.
"Okay, thank you. I really... like you a lot." He always found her so nice, how could he not like her? He was liking her more and more.
He really wanted to... really wanted to lock her away.
Just for him to see.
No one else was allowed to look.
She was his and only his.
But he couldn’t do that, she wouldn’t be happy.
He didn’t want her to be unhappy; he wanted her to do anything she pleased, to be happy.
"Ah... how come... a sudden confession again, it’s a bit embarrassing." Su Yinhe touched her face, which she felt was getting hot.
Really.
"I don’t know. It’s probably because..." He liked her too much.
Because he liked her so much, he couldn’t control himself, and his love always overflowed.
"Alright, alright, I get it, I know what you’re going to say. Don’t say it." She... felt embarrassed. Truly embarrassed.
Chi Yan looked at her and chuckled softly.
"Okay, as you wish."
Despite everything, Lin Murong ended up strolling by.
Luckily, the timing of his stroll was good, he didn’t interrupt them.
But it was a close call.
"Yo, Galaxy, you seem to be enjoying yourself; you’ve got dramas, snacks, milk tea, and a man. And if I’m not mistaken, an empty fruit plate." Lin Murong said, glancing at Chi Yan.
His last comment was obviously sarcastic.
Su Yinhe: "..."
"Hehe, I’m doing alright. After all, I am the boss, if I don’t enjoy myself, who will?" Su Yinhe raised her eyebrows at him.
Lin Murong: "..."
That’s also... correct?
"Um... what are you doing?" Su Yinhe, unable to restrain herself, asked as she watched Lin Murong’s strange behavior.
Lin Murong was actually...
... sniffing the plate.
Yes, the plate that had held the fruit.
Did it smell that good?
What a weird hobby.
"Me? I didn’t get to eat, is it wrong to take a sniff?" Lin Murong said with a sense of grievance.
Su Yinhe: "..."
Okay, another story she didn’t know about.
Su Yinhe glanced at Chi Yan.
What had happened between the two of them, yet again?
"No, he’s just out of his mind." Although Su Yinhe didn’t speak, he knew what she wanted to say, her look said it all.
Su Yinhe: "..."
Well, it’s confirmed, both are pretty abnormal.
In such a big supermarket, she seemed to be the only normal person.
They were all abnormal.
Only she was the most normal.
"You’re the abnormal one, Brother Chi, you’re slandering me!" Lin Murong got angry. He had missed out on the fruit platter, and now he was being maligned by Chi Yan.
That was uncalled for.
"Whether it’s slander or not... you know very well," Chi Yan said without any expression.
Lin Murong: "..."
It seemed... it wasn’t really slander.
But...
He was irrationally strong-willed.
It didn’t matter.
"No way, you are slandering me, apologize! Otherwise, I will... I will..." Lin Murong stammered for a long time without finishing his threat.
"Heh. Take your time," Chi Yan teased.
"Hey! Galaxy! Do something about him," Lin Murong turned to Su Yinhe when he had no way to deal with Chi Yan.
Su Yinhe: "..." She didn’t have much of a solution either.
She couldn’t just... confront Chi Yan. Moreover, she didn’t want to confront him.
Su Yinhe’s eyes flickered as she decided to target Lin Murong instead.
"Lin Murong, do you want some fries?"
Lin Murong: "?? Sure..." He didn’t dare to be too certain when he said that.
It wasn’t because he was too full to eat; he had a fast metabolism.
He could eat again soon enough.
It’s just that, the way Su Yinhe asked, it sounded rather ominous.
"Okay then, go peel some potatoes. I’ll make you some fries after that." Su Yinhe gave him a heart shape with her hands.
Lin Murong: "???"
"You’re going to make them?!!!" Lin Murong shrieked.
"Yeah, touched, aren’t you?" Su Yinhe winked at him.
"Touched, really touched," Lin Murong was a bit scared, "but actually, I can do without them." It wasn’t that he didn’t want to peel potatoes. He was just a bit scared.
"Not eating? Why not? Why can’t you eat them? Eat! You must eat! How can you not eat? I’m personally making these fries, and you’re saying you don’t want to eat?" Su Yinhe looked unhappy.
"But... I really shouldn’t trouble our boss to personally cook such a small thing. I can do it myself. And I’m not that much into fries," he said. He didn’t really like them to begin with.
Lin Murong felt like whimpering.
"No way, you like them now. Wait for me to make them," Su Yinhe patted his shoulder.
"Ah... okay then," Lin Murong looked like he was about to cry; he had a very bad feeling about this.
"Good boy. Go peel the potatoes," Su Yinhe made another heart shape at him.
Lin Murong: "..."
Cruel.
He really didn’t want fries anymore.
But Su Yinhe was forcing the desire upon him.
Damn it.
And he couldn’t even resist.
Lin Murong resignedly went to peel potatoes.
Su Yinhe felt she was very clever, diffusing a potential argument without making a sound.
Only thing was, after sending Lin Murong off to peel potatoes, she forgot about Chi Yan.
As soon as Lin Murong left, Chi Yan became unhappy.
"You’re making fries for him?"
"Ah, yeah. What about it?"
"I don’t agree," Chi Yan was clearly displeased.
"Why not? It’s just fries."
"You haven’t made any for me. You made them for him first," Chi Yan was quite unhappy.
"Ah, but... um... you... don’t like this kind of food, right?" This kind of food, fried stuff, was Chi Yan’s least favorite.
"I may not like it, but you made it," Chi Yan would like anything Galaxy made.
"You... cough cough cough," Su Yinhe was a bit embarrassed again.
"Well then... when they’re done, you eat first, Murong can have the leftovers," Su Yinhe suggested a compromise.
Chi Yan was still not entirely satisfied.
