In the living room, at the table, Tang Hao, his dejected demeanor gone, excitedly gripped Tang San's right wrist.
A Blue Silver Grass spirit materialized in Tang San's palm. Tang Hao stared at it, his gaze fixed, and began to mutter to himself, "Blue Silver Grass... it's actually Blue Silver Grass... it really is Blue Silver Grass... just like hers..."
Hers?
Upon hearing this, Tang Sui's somewhat muddled mind cleared considerably. She realized who Tang Hao was referring to.
"Sui Sui, did I wake you?" Tang San's sharp ears caught Tang Sui's whispered murmur. Just as he was about to turn, Tang Hao suddenly stood up and swiftly turned, walking into the inner room.
His sudden, large movement almost caused Tang San, who was standing close, to lose his balance and fall.
"Dad?"
Tang San watched in surprise as Tang Hao "whoosh," pulled the door curtain shut, completely obscuring the inner room.
Tang Sui tilted her head, stepped down from the rocking chair Tang San had made for her, stood beside Tang San, and tugged at his sleeve. She deliberately raised her voice slightly, saying, "Dad's gone. Brother, I can feel you have another spirit in your left hand. I want to see if your other spirit is the same as mine."
"What?!"
"Huh? Sui Sui, you have a spirit too?!"
Both Tang Hao, who had shut himself in the room, and Tang San, facing Tang Sui, exclaimed in surprise.
The word "too" was used quite aptly.
The next second, the door curtain was violently flung open. Tang Hao's reddened eyes revealed that his emotions had likely been quite intense moments ago. Only his dazed expression showed the depth of his current shock.
"You, you guys..."
"Brother, I want to see." Tang Sui ignored Tang Hao, tilted her head back, her clear blue eyes sparkling as she gazed at Tang San.
A faint curve appeared on Tang San's lips. He seemed a little helpless, but like Tang Sui, he deliberately ignored Tang Hao, paying him no mind. As he had done with the Blue Silver Grass just moments before, he raised his left hand, and a small, dark hammer materialized in his palm.
It was an all-black hammer. The handle was about half a foot long, and the head was cylindrical, looking much like a miniature forging hammer. However, on the hammer's dark surface, a special radiance emanated. Around the cylindrical hammer head, a faint pattern was coiled.
"Hmm, this little hammer looks a bit different from mine."
A soft voice interjected. A radiant glow appeared again, and a black and red miniature hammer, similar in appearance to the little black hammer in Tang San's hand, materialized in Tang Sui's palm.
"This, this is!" Tang Hao's pupils contracted. His heart felt like a great bell, struck with immense force.
Even with the change in color, Tang Hao recognized the other spirit held by the siblings – the Clear Sky Hammer!
Tang Hao's breathing hitched involuntarily. A spark of life appeared in his cloudy eyes for the first time: "Twin spirits! My children both possess twin spirits!"
What an incredibly slim chance this was!
An inexplicable wave of tenderness and excitement washed over him. Tang Hao stretched out his arms, wanting to pull them both into an embrace.
However, as soon as he extended his hands, the miniature hammer in Tang Sui's hand dispersed like flying sand blown by the wind. Her eyes then snapped shut, and she abruptly fell forward, coincidentally tumbling into Tang Hao's arms.
"Sui Sui!"
"Sui Sui!"
Anxious voices, spoken in unison, came from both the adult and the child.
This was the first time Tang Hao had uttered such an affectionate term in front of them since Tang Sui was born.
But Tang Sui could no longer hear any other sounds. Before she fainted, only one thought occupied her mind.
It was frustration.
Good.
She had released her spirit, and just seconds later, she had fainted.
She hadn't even released her other spirit yet!
She really had the script of a cannon fodder, QAQ.
See you tomorrow!
