Chapter 35 Warehouse

Su Ling, along with the fatty and the skinny guy, came downstairs. After confirming that Xu Daqiang's men were not following, she stopped.

She looked at the fatty and the skinny guy and said coldly, "You generously gifted me knives. Now that I've saved you, we're even."

"The world outside has changed, and monsters are everywhere, biting anyone they see. You can choose to go back or wait for rescue. But whichever choice you make, supplies will be an issue you can't avoid."

If it weren't for the Tang dao, Su Ling wouldn't have wasted so many words on the fatty and the skinny guy.

Because of the lessons learned in her past life, she really didn't want to get involved with people in the apocalypse.

"While the supermarket's supplies are still abundant, and considering your own circumstances, choose suitable supplies for yourselves."

With that, Su Ling left, paying no mind to whether the two understood her meaning. She had already left with the Tang dao.

A department store supermarket must have a warehouse.

The warehouse must be well-stocked, and there would be a large generator.

She had to find the department store's warehouse quickly and collect all the supplies into her space before they were damaged.

Thinking this, Su Ling quickened her pace.

Her body had already been modified by her space, and she could move with incredible speed.

By the time the fatty and the skinny guy realized they should follow her, the vast department store was empty. She was nowhere to be seen.

The fatty first looked at the well-stocked department store, then at the skinny guy beside him. "What do you think?"

The skinny guy looked at the fatty, his hand stroking his chin in thought. "That Xu Daqiang is no pushover. He's already shady, and he has guns and men. But when he faced Su Ling, he seemed to be a little afraid of her."

"If the outside world has truly changed, and the apocalyptic world from novels has really arrived, then the best way for us to survive in this apocalypse is to follow Su Ling and become a member of her team."

"Do you think that'll work?" The fatty frowned, his tone serious. "She seems so cold, like a block of ice."

"We have to try, even if it might not work," the skinny guy said. He looked back behind them, then patted the fatty's shoulder. "Let's search for supplies first, pick out what we need, and try to ensure its practicality. Since she wants to use the rooftop as a base, we'll find her there then."

The fatty nodded and followed the skinny guy away.

Not long after they left, Chen Youzhao came downstairs with his men.

After separating from the fatty and the skinny guy, Su Ling had no interest in the shelves she passed. Her target was the warehouse.

Besides, if she were to loot supplies on a large scale, it would arouse suspicion.

To avoid unnecessary trouble, the goods in front of her could only be looked at, not touched.

The department store was huge. Apart from the basement level, floors one through five were its sales areas.

Su Ling had come down from the second floor to the first. Usually, a supermarket's warehouse would be located based on the distance between floors.

Therefore, the possibility of the warehouse being on the first floor was not high. After Su Ling and the fatty and the skinny guy left, she decided to take the stairs to the third floor to check.

Since floors one to five of the department store were its sales areas, the warehouse was highly likely to be on the third floor.

This also meant that she might encounter zombies in the stairwells.

Thinking of this, Su Ling took an apple from her space and ate it as she walked, replenishing her energy.

The supermarket's generator was still running; the supermarket had not lost power due to the apocalypse.

Or perhaps, the apocalypse had just begun, and widespread power outages had not yet occurred.

Su Ling found the escalator and went straight up.

The first and second floors of the supermarket belonged to Xu Daqiang's territory. He had cleared them, so he wasn't worried about zombies.

However, from the third floor upwards, besides being cautious of zombies, they also had to guard against survivors.
