Standing under the trees, Su Ling tilted her head back, contemplating how to move the two trees into her space.
While she was lost in thought, the lychee and cherry trees in front of her suddenly vanished into thin air.
All that remained were the deep holes where the trees had been.
Su Ling was unfazed by this spectacle; she knew the trees must have gone into her space.
What surprised her was that her thoughts weren't just effective within her space, but also outside of it.
This discovery was an unexpected joy for Su Ling.
Without needing to lift a finger, a single thought could solve a troublesome problem.
Considering Gu Shangse, Su Ling didn't immediately check on her space. She merely projected her consciousness into it, confirming the trees were indeed there. Then, she turned and left the yard, heading for the kitchen of the cake shop.
The cake shop kitchen was well-stocked. Su Ling moved all the cake-making machinery, flour, and other supplies into her space.
To avoid suspicion, she specifically took out some fruits and vegetables from her space and carried them in bags.
Then, she cleared out all the non-expired cakes and pastries from the shop, making it look like she had packed a few bags, before leaving.
As she departed, she closed the door and locked it securely.
If she hadn't been concerned about starting a fire that would engulf the entire building, she wouldn't have minded burning the place down to cover her tracks.
Reaching her bicycle, Su Ling hung the large and small bags on it. She looked at Yang Yang, who was wagging its tail at her, and tossed it a tomato.
Upon seeing the tomato, Yang Yang caught it in its mouth without hesitation.
Then, it bit down, chewed, and swallowed the tomato.
It looked at Su Ling, its doggy brain filled with confusion.
Su Ling assumed it wanted more, so she tossed another one.
However, this time, Yang Yang didn't catch it. Instead, it moved aside in disdain, letting the tomato roll onto the ground.
Su Ling looked at the tomato, now splattered on the ground after being rejected, and then at Yang Yang.
She understood. Its initial enthusiasm stemmed from thinking it was as delicious as strawberries or greens.
Its current rejection meant it had discovered it wasn't that tasty.
Hah, truly a border collie, so impossibly smart.
But Su Ling wasn't about to indulge the little dog. She pushed her bicycle, looked at the tomato on the ground, and then at Yang Yang. "If you don't eat it, you won't get any more. I don't like dogs that waste food."
With that, Su Ling pushed her bicycle towards Gu Shangse.
Yang Yang stood in place, looking at the departing Su Ling, then at the tomato on the ground.
After a long moment of hesitation, Yang Yang walked over and picked up the tomato with its mouth.
Then, it trotted back to Su Ling, raised its head, and ate the tomato in front of her.
Su Ling's eyes remained cold, and her voice was equally icy. "A smart dog, I like that very much."
Acknowledged by Su Ling, Yang Yang opened its mouth and revealed its pink tongue, smiling at her.
It then sat down in front of Su Ling, its tail wagging, clearly expecting a pat.
Su Ling parked her bicycle and reached into her bag to retrieve a tomato, but in reality, she took one from her space.
Approaching Yang Yang, Su Ling crouched down and offered the tomato, tilting her head to signal it to eat.
Yang Yang looked at the tomato, then at Su Ling. Despite its dislike, it took the tomato in its mouth.
The tomato burst with juice, sweet and fresh, and Yang Yang's eyes widened.
Meanwhile, Su Ling had already gotten up and was pushing her bicycle forward.
Yang Yang was delighted. It wagged its tail, following Su Ling, becoming even more attentive.
Su Ling arrived at Gu Shangse's location. He was rummaging through the heads of zombies, searching for crystal cores.
Next to the pile of zombie corpses lay Zhang Ming, his lower body completely gnawed away by zombies.
He was not dead yet, but his life was fading. His eyes, filled with venom and malice, glared at Su Ling and Gu Shangse.
"You two adulterous dogs, you'll have a terrible end!"
