Chapter 184: Chapter 184: Damnable Rats
The villa has five floors. Everyone briefly toured the ground floor, then went to the basement. The basement is very spacious, divided into two parts: one for storing miscellaneous items and the other for reserve supplies, but it’s quite empty now.
Everyone had just toured the ground floor, which has a large reception area, a big kitchen, a dining room, a nanny’s room, and a guest bathroom. However, most of the furniture is rather worn out, and the fabric of the sofa is even torn.
The second floor has a large terrace and three rooms.
Everyone casually chose a room.
Yi Heng opened a wardrobe casually, "There shouldn’t be any clothes..."
Several mice darted out swiftly.
"Ah!"
Yi Heng was so scared he almost lost his color; if his brother Yi Kai hadn’t caught him, he would have crashed into the nearby wall.
Gu Ran’s expression was a bit stiff.
"Seriously?"
She opened another wardrobe, and a mouse jumped out aggressively.
"Mom!" Gu Jiujiu called out anxiously.
A candy flew over and hit the mouse.
The mouse fell to the ground with a ’thud’.
Tuanzi ran over and looked up, "Auntie, are you okay?"
Gu Ran shook her head, looking pale, "I’m, I’m fine, thank you. I didn’t expect the mice here to be so brazen."
They actually took the initiative to attack her.
Tuanzi patted her chest, "Don’t worry, Miaomiao will take care of the arrogant mice."
She bent down to pick up the candy, but her collar was grabbed. She turned to see Gu Chi with a weak smile.
"Don’t take it, it’s dirty."
"It’s not, it has a wrapper."
Gu Chi shook his head, "It touched the mouse, the outer packaging is dirty too. Mice carry lots of viruses and parasites; touching it can make you sick."
Tuanzi widened her eyes, "Then, do I have to give up the candy? The candy will cry!"
Upon getting a definite answer, Tuanzi felt terrible.
"My candy!" she wailed.
If she’d known, she wouldn’t have used candy to hit the mouse.
Tuanzi was extremely angry, and directly jumped out the window, shocking everyone. Before they could get to the window, she jumped back up, holding a handful of small stones.
"Argh, damn mice!"
In her fury, she threw the stones randomly, surprisingly managing to hit the mice running around.
"Compensate my candy!"
Tuanzi chased the mice, clearing out the wardrobes and under the bed in the room, then moved to other rooms.
The others watched Tuanzi’s rampage with trepidation and decided to leave the villa, waiting at the door.
Soon, Tuanzi came out carrying a large plastic bag full of holes bitten by the mice, and dumped the mice at the door.
The plump mice were piled into a small mound, quite shocking.
Several guests turned pale, "So, so many?"
Gu Chi only cared about one thing, "Miaomiao, you didn’t touch them with your hands, did you?"
Tuanzi shook her head gloomily.
Her candy, boohoo!
The staff were scared too.
A cameraman actually gave the pile of mice a close-up shot.
[Mommy, my eyes]
[Quick, quick, change the shot, I don’t want to see this]
[These mice are really chubby]
[Did she kill all the mice? Gu Miaomiao is really ruthless]
[Why is the previous comment so sarcastic]
[Is Zhu Fangfangfang here? Hurry up and edit the video, I want to watch Miaomiao’s battle against the mice!]
Miao Mu asked, "Miaomiao, are they dead?"
"Some are, some aren’t."
Tuanzi scratched her little head, pouting, "Miaomiao used different degrees of force, some just fainted."
Miao Mu quickly instructed the staff to deal with the mice.
"Alright," he said weakly smiling, "let’s continue our tour. We need a good sense of these rooms to figure out how to renovate and how to budget for materials."
Everyone went straight to the third floor, discovering it to be a dream home library for many book lovers. The bookshelves were cleverly designed, with leisure sofas, small tables, and tea sets.
However, there were no books on the bookshelves.
The director explained, "After the lady fell seriously ill, she didn’t want the books to get damaged, some were given to friends, some donated."
The third-floor layout pleased the guests.
Except for the bathroom, the rest of the floor is partitioned with bookshelves, with no individual rooms. This means more than 130 square meters can directly be used for dining.
Ai Jie couldn’t help saying, "The bookshelf partition can remain, allowing space for books and greenery, while other areas can place dining tables, playing music, and dine while enjoying the sea view."
Yi Heng shook his head, "Don’t rush to design yet; if the third floor seeks ambiance and quietness, other floors must match. What if the other floors don’t suit this theme?"
Ai Jie chuckled without responding.
[Conflict coming so soon?]
[Yes, everyone’s design ideas are different, good show ahead]
[Is this scripted like other shows, forcing a conflict?]
[I can guess what the show will buy for trending topics, #GoldenSnowWolfBestSupportingActressDisagreeWithHotStar#]
If Miao Mu saw these comments, he’d honestly tell them the show couldn’t afford to buy hot searches!
The fourth-floor layout is more ordinary, with exactly four rooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom, and another bathroom in the small living room.
But the four rooms are empty, without beds or wardrobes.
The guests were dumbfounded.
Gu Ran tentatively asked, "Are we staying on the fourth floor?"
Yi Heng looked at her in surprise; he initially wanted to ask, aren’t guests supposed to stay in hotels? But knowing what consequences asking that would bring, he simply shut up, eagerly expecting the director to deny it.
Miao Mu said, "Yes, you’re staying on the fourth floor. It was mainly for friends to stay, but then Mrs. Bai’s friends passed away gradually, so she disposed of the furniture and rarely visited the fourth floor."
Except for Yi Heng, the parents started worrying, "Without beds, how are we sleeping tonight?"
"Is borrowing beds the first step to dining room renovation?"
The twins clung to their mother, feeling shy.
Yi Kai, instructed by his father to behave well, stayed silent with a serious face, though he felt a bit anxious inside.
Tuanzi was more concerned about another matter.
She worriedly said to Gu Jiujiu, "No beds, so are boxed meals provided?"
Gu Jiujiu patted her belly, "I don’t know, are you hungry?"
Tuanzi was thinking about the candy earlier, "If I could save that candy, Miaomiao wouldn’t be hungry."
Yi Heng listened to everyone chattering about borrowing beds and couldn’t resist slightly protesting to the director, "But isn’t this villa supposed to be converted into a restaurant? If we’re on the fourth floor, it can’t be renovated."
So, let them stay in a hotel, Yi Heng frantically hinted.
Miao Mu was surprised, "But only renovating floors one through three, oh, and the basement and yard, will cost quite a lot of money and time, adding another floor... you guys won’t be able to handle it."
Yi Heng: "..."
Miao Mu added, "Moreover, when the restaurant opens, the fourth floor should become staff rooms."
After the show ends, the renovated restaurant will be handed over to a children’s welfare home for operation. The welfare home can’t afford staff, so it’s likely welfare employees and volunteers will help.
After the tour ended, everyone went outside to look at the yard again.
The yard is quite large and barren, and there’s a small semi-open garage on the side, enough for two cars.
Several parents exchanged glances.
Gu Chi said, "Now everyone share your ideas; the theme of the restaurant, how to renovate, so we can have someone evaluate costs and the materials needed."
Yi Heng countered, "Shouldn’t we solve the accommodation problem first?"
Gu Chi smiled, "Maybe when gathering materials, we can solve the accommodation issue too."
